Wake Forest vs. Clemson
Clemson-13½ -110
The ACC Comp play is on Clemson at noon eastern. Clemson has covered the last 4 at home, 7 of 10 off a spread win and 19 of 26 vs losing teams. Wake Forest has failed to cover 11 of 12 on the road in between 2 conference home games and they have lost to the spread in 20 of 26 vs ACC teams, 4 of 5 off an Ats loss, 13 of 18 vs .600 or better teams, 4 of 5 on Sundays and the last 4 in this series. Look for Clemson to coast to a cover.

While it's conceivable to think Los Angeles Rams wideout Brandin Cooks will take aim at New England coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots, after he was traded away for a first-round draft pick, I'm convinced the mad scientist in a hoodie will prove he was right.
The talented 25-year-old receiver is one of Jared Goff's prime targets, but because he lacks the size and strength of a typical No. 1 receiver, I think the Pats are going to know the nuances of this kid, enough so they will be able to make him obsolete. His speed is dynamic, yes, but if he gets bullied, he won't factor into the Rams' attack much.
Rookie corner J.C. Jackson has been a hit during his first year for the Patriots and could draw the assignment. He's had two weeks to prepare for lockdown coverage, especially since there is intimate knowledge Belichick has of his former player.
I'm banking on the Patriots being able to take Cooks out of the equation early.
3* UNDER Brandin Cooks Receiving Yards

This is a number that has been bet down in some places from the original number of 12' penalties. I still like it Under, as both teams come into Sunday as two of the most disciplined teams in the league. It's why they're in this game, because the don't make silly mistakes and because there is quality coaching on both sidelines. Figure this, the Patriots - with 6.0 penalties per game - and the Rams, who averaged 5.9, ranked in the top-10 in fewest penalties committed this season - including the playoffs.
And when you're talking about the Super Bowl, the reins are tightened and both teams might commit 3 each.
In the Patriots last five Super Bowls, they've been penalized five times or less in all five games. Over the last 31 Super Bowls, there has been less than 13 accepted penalties in 22 of those big games.
One thing I think we can all agree on is the officials have been letting the teams play more, and that will translate into this game. We saw it in last year’s Super Bowl shootout with record yardage and 74 points scored, as there was only a mere seven penalties on record and only one against New England.
Expect this one to stay well under the number, as I'm guessing there will be 6 or 7.
1* UNDER Total Penalties

They came close on Thursday, but in a nip-and-tuck battle, the Musketeers fell in their Big East battle at Georgetown, 80-73.
That puts "X" on a 4 game slide, and has them at 2-6 straight up their last 8 games - all in conference action. Not so sure it improves today at Creighton, as the Blue Jays may only be 2-5 their last 7 games, but they have won 2 of their last 3, and they are seeking some revenge in this home contest today.
Creighton was swept in last year's season series, and have now been on the short side versus Xavier in 4 of the last 6 series meetings.
The Jays do come into this game averaging over 81 points per game which is almost 8 points per game better than the Muskies, and they also shoot it better from behind the arc, 40% to 33%.
Both teams need this win, but only one can get it. Last year was Xavier's year to dominate, but this season they are breaking in a new head coach, and they are most definitely in the rebuild mode.
Double-revenge on the home team's side, and with the road team sporting a 2-6-1 spread mark away from their home court this year, I have no issue laying a couple with the double-revenging Blue Jays at home this Sunday afternoon.
Take Creighton.
3* CREIGHTON

Comp play for Sunday will be Memphis and New York to hold Under the total in the NBA.
If you are looking for points today, maybe you better look to the Super Bowl instead of Madison Square Garden, as the Grizzlies and the Knicks could play into Monday morning and not land Over the total!
Memphis has played 3 straight, and 6 of their last 8 overall Under the posted price. The Grizzlies have also not topped 97 total points in 6 of those 8 games played.
New York enters Sunday action with 6 straight games Under the posted total, and 8 of their last 9 overall Under the total. The Knicks have been held to 99 points or less in each of their last 5 games.
The first meeting between the teams played in November held Under the total in their meeting on Memphis, as the series Under now stands at 3-1 the last 4 showdowns.
Also of note is the fact the Grizzlies last 5 Sunday games played have all landed Under the total, and they are also 4-0 Under their last 4 games when playing with one days rest between contests.
With Conley and Jackson still dealing with lingering injuries, and Memphis scoring at just 100.4 points per game this season, and New York a not-much-better 106.1 points per game for the year, Under is the play all day long in NYC.
4* MEMPHIS-NEW YORK UNDER

Comp winner this Sunday is the Thunder and the Celtics to land just Under the posted total.
Yes, both teams are explosive and can score the basketball - OKC averaging 114-plus points per game, Boston at 112-plus points per game - but when these inter-conference teams meet up, the trend has been on the lower side of that Up/Down Graph.
Their first meeting this season in October at Oklahoma City was not close to topping the 218 point total, as the teams held Under 200 combined points. That makes it 3 in a row, and 5 of the last 7 played between the clubs having played Under the posted price.
Sure, Oklahoma City has been trending towards the Over - 3 in a row, and 10 of their last 12 in the Over column - but Boston does a pretty good job on the defensive end, allowing 105.5 points per game. The Over trend that the Thunder is on, is certainly taken into account with the price of today's contest.
As for Boston, they come into this Sunday matinee with Unders played in 5 of their most recent 7 games.
Based on the recent series trends, going to look for some actual defense to be played today, and for this publicly inflated line to preclude this contest from landing in the Over column.
The series trend is at 3 in a row Under coming into today, but after this one is in the books, it will be 4 straight series Unders.
Thunder-Celtics Low on Sunday in Boston.
2* OKLAHOMA CITY-BOSTON UNDER

3% Take Stanford (#833)
Cal wasn’t supposed to be any good in college hoops this season; projected to contend with Washington State for the title of ‘Worst team in the PAC-12’. Despite those low expectations, the Bears have been so very bad that the betting markets haven’t been able to catch up! Things have gotten worse of late – blowout home losses to the likes of Utah, Colorado and Arizona in their last three games here at Haas Pavilion. Despite this being a game against their arch-rivals, this arena will barely be half full on Sunday. Stanford won by double digits at Wazzu in their last road tilt, primed for a similar result here. Take the Cardinal.

On to the Super Bowl. I don’t have any really strong opinions opinions on the game. This is a really tough call the way I see it. But here we go.
PATRIOTS 31, RAMS 30.
I also like a couple of props, though you’ll have to lay a price on each. I like Under 1.5 yards for the shortest touchdown. Give me one defensive PI flag in the end zone and that’ll likely be home free.
I also like Rob Gronkowski to go Over on his yards receiving prop. Mid-50’s on this one but he would seem to match up well against the Rams defense. More importantly, this might well be his grand finale as an NFL player and I believe he goes out on a high note.
Remember, this is only one game. Don’t treat it as big bet material just because it’s the Super Bowl. Have fun and good luck!

Bruins vs. Capitals
Bruins+107
The Bruins have lost 3 straight games. Not only is this rare, Boston is also known for responding when in this situation. The Bruins have won 10 of 14 when they enter a game on a losing streak of 3 or more games. The Capitals are off a win but it was a last minute win over the Flames on Friday. Prior to that, Washington had lost 7 straight games. The Caps have dominated the Bruins in recent seasons and Boston is hell-bent on turning that trend around in a big way on Sunday afternoon. The Capitals have lost 3 of their 4 Sunday games and our computer math model shows that trend continuing here! Free Pick: Boston Bruins in very early afternoon action Sunday

Clippers vs. Raptors
Jack’s Free Pick Sunday: Toronto Raptors -10
The Los Angeles Clippers are in a very tough spot today. They will be playing the 2nd of a back-to-back and in their 3rd city in 4 days. They just beat the Pistons 111-101 on the road yesterday, and now won’t have much left in the tank for the Toronto Raptors today.
The Raptors come in highly motivated for a victory. They have lost three of their last four games overall. But they are rested and ready to go now as they will be playing just their 2nd game in 7 days. They are as healthy as they’ve been all season and should be able to put the Clippers away by double-digits at home today.
The Raptors are 21-5 at home this season. The Raptors are 7-2 ATS in their last nine meetings with the Clippers. Los Angeles is 2-7 ATS in its last nine trips to Toronto. The Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games vs. a team with a winning record. Bet the Raptors Sunday.

Thunder vs. Celtics
10* FREE NBA PICK (Celtics -3.5)
I'll take my chances here with Boston laying the small number at home against the Thunder. While the media is blowing up the Kyrie trade possibilities, the Celtics continue to play some of their best basketball. Boston has won 3 straight and 8 of their last 9 overall. Even when the Celtics aren't playing well they are extremely tough to beat at home. I just don't see OKC coming into the Garden and keeping this close enough to cover. Boston is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games against a top tier team that's won 60% to 70% of their games and 8-1 ATS last 9 as a home favorite of 6-points or less. Thunder are 4-16 ATS last 20 after covering 5 or 6 of their last 7. Give me the Celtics -3.5!

This one looks a little heavy on the points side especially as both of these entries score in the 60s much of the time.
