NCAA-B | Houston vs Temple
Play on: OVER 138 -110

Temple is coming off a split of AAC road games against UCF and Wichita State. In comes undefeated Houston who is bringing a balanced offensive attack and a really good defense. Houston has seven guys who average six points per game or more on the season with Corey Davis Jr and Armoni Brooks leading the way. The Cougars have just two true road games winning 63-53 at Oklahoma State and 76-62 at BYU. They gave up 77 points at home to Memphis last time out and have gone over in four of their last seven overall. The defensive numbers are nice, but they also played eight games as double digit favorites so you'd expect success. Temple's defense has been pretty bad as of late allowing 81 to Wichita, 78 to UCF and 75 to Davidson. They've gone over in three of their last four. Yes, Alston and Rose could struggle but NPL and Moorman are starting to score a little bit. This total seems a bit low and the game could be close meaning FTs. I think this one goes over.

Play on: La Salle +13½ -109 at GTBets

LA SALLE @VCU

La Salle is just 3-10 but played some tough teams out of conference. They had an 8 point loss at Temple where they were tied at the half and a 13 point loss at Florida and they were within 10 points for most of the game but the biggest surprise was a 7 point loss to Villanova where they led at the half and were within a couple of points with less than 5 minutes left in the game before losing by 7. VCU relies on defense as they only average 70 points a game while they are hitting just 39% from the floor over their last 5 games. This seems like way too many points to pass up.

Take La Salle for FREE PICK

NBA | 76ers vs Wizards
Play on: 76ers -2½ -109 at pinnacle

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NBA Game #517 Wednesday Free Pick Philadelphia 76ers (-) @ Washington Wizards @ 7:05 ET - Even though this is a back to back spot (these teams met in Philly last night), the Sixers are in good shape as last night's win was a blowout. The win by a huge margin for the 76ers allowed them to rest guys and no one played more than 28 minutes in the game for Philadelphia. Now they're facing the same struggling Wizards team tonight at DC and, of course, since they're on the road they're laying a very small number. Philly is now on a 21-10 SU (22-9 ATS) run in January games! The Sixers are also 8-1 SU against Southeast Division opponents this season and, again, this line is so low that a SU win almost guarantees an ATS cover. As for Washington, they are an ugly 5-12 (SU and ATS) this season in games against teams with a winning record. Also, as an underdog this season, the Wizards are 5-14 SU (and 6-13 ATS). Look for a road rout in this one as the 76ers are truly "feeling it" right now while the Wizards have lost 11 of their last 16 games. Free Pick PHILADELPHIA

NBA | Pacers vs Celtics
Play on: Celtics -6 -109 at GTBets

Ricky's 1* Free Play on the Boston Celtics.

Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. In order to make the grade, all his premium picks must meet several important criteria. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant.

- Scheduling and revenge. The Pacers come in off a satisfying hammering of the Cavs in Cleveland just last night. Boston has lost three straight in this series, including a 102-101 setback in Indiana in the first matchup this year back on November 3rd. These are my “key angles” for this selection.

Key Trends:

- Indiana is just 5-6 ATS this year as a road underdog.

- The Pacers are only 2-5 ATS in their last seven off a road win vs. a division rival.

- The Celtics are a solid 8-5 ATS this season in trying to revenge a loss vs. an opponent.

The verdict: The stage is set for a blowout!

TCU +6.5

This play just missed out on our premium card. The TCU Horned Frogs and the Kansas Jayhawks face off Wednesday night and in this game the value lies with the Horned Frogs.

The Jayhawks are at home and play well there but they haven't been great covering spreads. On the season they are 8-0 on their home court, but are only 3-5 ATS.

The Horned Frogs are 12-1 on the season and aren't any slouches.

Back the Horned Frogs.

My comp play for Wednesday night is VCU at home to handle their business against La Salle.

The Explorers and first-year coach Ashley Howard lost their opening 10 games of this season, but have come on of late with wins and covers in each of their last 3. That includes a 69-60 upset win at UMass in conference action their last time out.

Don't expect the streak to continue tonight against a VCU team that they have not been able to solve in any of the last 3 meetings either straight up or against the spread. VCU stands at 6-2 straight up and 5-3 against the spread the last 8 series meetings, and in those 3 straight wins and covers, the Rams average margin of victory is 20.6 points per game!

The Rams are up to 10-4 now on the season, as Mike Rhoades' team enters riding a 3 game winning streak, and they are 5-2 straight up their last 7 with covers in 6 of those 7. Each of VCU's last 3 wins have come by double-digits, as they started with a 16-point home win over Wichita State, followed that with an 11-point home win over Rider, and last time out looked very crisp and sharp in a 25-point road win at Fordham.

With La Salle allowing a whopping 77-plus points per game, and VCU only allowing 62-plus points per contest, look for the Explorers winning streak to be the one that gets snapped tonight.

VCU will balloon this lead big-time, and by the end of this 40 minute session, it will be the Rams by at least 20 points.

Take VCU.

3* VCU

Wednesday night comp play on Georgetown plus the points in their game at Xavier.

The Hoyas saw their 4-game winning streak halted their last time on court, as they lost a tough one at home to St. John's 97-94 in overtime. In that game, Georgetown closed as the +3 point underdog, so the official ATS result goes as a push. Overall, the underdog in Georgetown's games stands at 11-2-1 for the season!

As for the Musketeers, they will be looking to snap a 2-game losing streak in conference action, and they are coming off a measly 52-points output in their 70-52 loss at Marquette. For the season, the X-Men are averaging 73.6 points, which pales when you put it beside the Hoyas 83.3 points per game, so Xavier better find some major offense in a hurry this Wednesday night.

Series numbers do show Xavier having won 5 straight and 8 of the last 9 series meetings, and they have also been able to cover in 7 of those 9 meetings. This issue here is that this is a new year, and the Musketeers do have a new coach, and they are up against a Hoyas team that is on the rise.

Patrick Ewing has big man Jesse Govan as the main cog on this 11-4 team, as he averages close to 19 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. The Hoyas are getting solid play from senior Greg Malinowski who has seen his playing time increase due to a couple of injuries, and he is averaging 16 points per game over his last 3.

Speaking of injuries, the Hoyas do hope to have both Mac McClung and Trey Mourning back for this contest, and that would obviously give the visitor a little more depth for this conference showdown at the Cintas Center tonight.

With Xavier at just 2-8-3 against the spread their last 13 lines home games, and the visitor in this series holding 7 covers in the past 8 series meetings, I will take the points they are offering with the underdog Hoyas here on Wednesday.

3* GEORGETOWN

Wednesday's free play winner goes out on the Hawks and the Nets to land Under this big total at the Barclays Center.

The oddsmakers have posted a pretty damn tall total of 227 points for this meeting, and while the first tango between the teams back in the middle of December saw a 144-127 end result in favor of the Nets, I do not foresee that many points being posted in tonight's tilt.

Atlanta just played last night in Toronto in a game that resulted in a 104-101 final in favor of the Raptors. That game did indeed hold Under the total, as the Hawks have started to trend towards the Under with 4 of their last 6 games landing on the low side of things.

Brooklyn saw their stretch of 4 straight Overs halted in their last game when they managed only 95 points on Monday night in their game at Boston.

Yes, both teams are solidly in the triple-figure plateau for points scored and points allowed, as the Hawks score it at 109 points and allow it at 117 points, while the Nets score almost 111, while allowing right at 111 points per game, but the series numbers point towards a game that will land just Under the total.

The Under is 10-2-1 the last 13 series meetings, with the Under in New York standing at 5-1-1 the last 7 Big Apple get-togethers.

With the Hawks playing here in a back-to-back spot, you can expect their second half shots to be a little off, and the energy level to be just a little slower.

I like this one to hold Under the total.

4* ATLANTA-BROOKLYN UNDER
