I'm playing on V-Tech/FSU UNDER the total (3* TOTAL OF MONTH)
. Its true that both these teams are hoping and expecting to have improved offenses this season. However, that improvement isn't likely to be immediate and there's always plenty of athleticism and talent on the defensive side from both these teams. The Noles allowed just 15 ppg (280 y%pg) their final three last season and 20.3 ppg at home on the season. The Hokies, meanwhile, allowed a mere 14.8 ppg on the season, 14.7 their final three. The UNDER is 2-0 the past couple of seasons, when the Hokies were listed as underdogs in the 3.5 to 10 point range, six of their 10 road games finishing below the total. As for the Noles, the UNDER is 10-5-1 their last 16 conference games. Overall, VT games averaged 43 points last season while FSU games averaged 49. All things considered, this number, which has climbed from its opener, is generously high.

David Goffin to defeat Marin Cilic

The value here is as good as it gets. I rate Goffin as the slight favourite.
Firstly, Goffin leads the H2H 3-2 and 2-1 on hard courts.
Goffin defeated Del Potro and Anderson in Cincinnati, on both occasions he was at a similar price to his odds for this match, on both occasions he was significantly underrated. Again he is being underrated.
Cilic played a marathon match in the previous round against Alex de Minaur, coming from 2 sets down to win a 4 hour match that ended past 2am. That match has to have some type of impact on Cilic, he will not be 100% fresh for this match. If de Minaur can push Cilic all the way, that is a good sign for Goffin who plays a somewhat similar game to de Minaur but does everything better than de Minaur.
The surface and conditions also favour Goffin. The courts in New York this year are very slow, meaning Goffin will get a chance to get into more rallies where he will cause Cilic problems. A hot day is expected which favours Goffin, it means the balls will fly more and he is more nimble and better able to deal with heat.
If Goffin serves well and gets into enough Cilic service game, I see no reason why he cant win this.
* Despite 5 units, it is no certainty, Cilic is a good player. But as I said the value is as good as it gets, so worth 5 units.

No need to overthink this one. The Hokies have traditionally had a very strong defense and that has continued since coach Fuente has taken over and in this game they get to take on a Florida State team with a new head coach and with a QB that just recently was named the starter, the same QB who missed all of last season with an injury. Big edge to the defense here. V Tech has covered 8 of their last 11 games as conference road underdogs while Florida State is just 2-7 as a conference home favorite of a TD or less. Take the Hokies and the points here.
