1* Free Pick on Georgia State Panthers +29

I think we are seeing a big overreaction with this line. Even though Memphis is coming off an outright loss at Navy as a favorite, the public will want nothing to do with this Georgia State squad. The Panthers are coming off a 41-7 blowout loss to NC State, a team a lot of people are down on this year after all they lost on the defensive side of the ball.

That game was a lot closer than the final score would lead you to believe. The Panthers were only trailing 7-20 with less than 5 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter. Georgia State missed two field goals and failed twice on 4th down inside NC State territory. The Wolfpack also scored a couple garbage touchdowns in the final minutes of regulation to really make the score lopsided.

You also have to keep in mind that NC State has a big time talent at quarterback in Ryan Finley. Memphis had to replace one of their all-time greats this season in Riley Ferguson. Arizona State transfer, Brady White, was great against an inferior Mercer team in the opener, but went just 15 of 25 for a mere 145 with a 0-1 TD-INT ratio against Memphis.

However, the biggest key here to Georgia State keeping this within the number is they got a capable offense. With Memphis possibility dragging their heads from that crushing loss to the Midshipmen, I could easily see them not giving this Panthers team the respect they deserve.

Georgia State is 22-9 ATS in their last 31 road games, including a 14-4 ATS mark on the road in the first half of the season. Take Georgia St!

Play on: Memphis -28 -105 at 5Dimes

Memphis has to be feeling sick they aren't 2-0 after controlling the game against Navy last week for 3 quarters before melting down in the 4th. The Tigers are still a good football team with a lot of weapons, an experienced offensive line and Junior QB Brady White has played very well, putting to ease any fears of this team having a hole at QB. The Memphis defense is very good as well and despite losing the game to Navy, the defense held the Midshipmen to only 316 yards of total offense.

Playing Georgia St at home is just what the Tigers need to get back on track. The Panthers lost a lot of players from the 2017 team who recorded the first winning season in program history. It showed as they needed a last second touchdown week 1 to beat FCS school Kennesaw St at home followed by a blowout loss at NC State. Memphis will take their anger from the Navy loss out on the young Panthers. Lay The Points and Take Memphis.

Play - Georgia State (Game 105).

Edges - Panthers: 5-0 ATS Game Three of the season since becoming an FBS team; and 10-2 ATS coming off a double-digit loss when facing a .500 or greater opponent … Tigers: 1-7-1 ATS as weekday home favorites. With that we recommend a 1* play on Georgia State. Thank you and good luck as always.

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Game #925 Friday Free Pick OVER the total in Boston Red Sox vs New York Mets @ 7:10 ET - Not only did the Mets Noah Syndergaard take a line drive off the rib cage in his most recent start, he also just hasn't been pitching very well of late. In his last 3 starts that weren't against the horrible Giants (losers of 11 straight) Syndergaard allowed 12 earned runs on 29 hits in 18 and 1/3 innings! He'll be in trouble here facing one of the top home hitting teams in the majors as he takes on the Red Sox here at Fenway Park. However, the reason the play here is the over rather than Boston is because the Mets have been hitting quite well. New York has averaged scoring 7 runs per game in going 5-1 their last 6 games. The Mets are likely to enjoy continued success as they take on a struggling Hector Velazquez in this one. The Red Sox right-hander is winless with a 9.28 ERA in his last 3 starts. The over is 3-1 in Syndergaard's last 4 starts and 4-1-1 in the last 6 starts that Velazquez has made. Free Pick OVER the total in Boston Friday

CFL | BC vs Montreal
Play on: Montreal +3 -107 at pinnacle

Buono the Lions coach is a well respected long time icon in the cfl, but recently he seems unable to motivate his teams against side with some negative numbers attached to their stat lines , especially in the defensive secondary. Montreal must be outed as one of these teams, which sets up some ugly looking CFL ATS trends that go against Buono and the Lions tonight. They are as follows:

BRITISH COLUMBIA is 3-11 ATS versus awful passing defenses - allowing a comp. pct. of 64% or worse over the last 2 seasons.

Buono is 6-16 ATS versus awful passing teams averaging 6.9 or less passing yards/att - after 9 or more games in all games he has coached since 1996.

It must also be noted that Montreal has started to play better after two straight wins and are gaining confidence entering this fray and must not be underestimated as home pups.

CFL road favorites (BRITISH COLUMBIA) - after playing a game at home, in September games are a long term bad bet going just 32-65 ATS for a go against 67% conversion rate for bettors.

Play on the Montreal Als to cover

MLB | Pirates vs Brewers
Play on: Brewers -133 at 5Dimes

10* FREE MLB PICK (Brewers -133)

I'll gladly take my chances here with Milwaukee at this price on their home field. The Brewers are 11-3 over their last 14 games and are riding high after taking 2 of 3 over the Cubs in Chicago last time out. Milwaukee will turn to Gio Gonzalez, who they just recently acquired. Gonzalez great in his first start with the Brewers, allowing just 3 hits and 7 strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. I look for him to stay hot against the Pirates, while the Milwaukee offense has their way with Chris Archer, who gave up 6 runs on 7 hits in a recent start against these Brewers back on Aug. 26. Pirates are also just 1-4 in Archer's last 5 road starts and 1-4 in his last 5 vs a team with a winning record. Give me the Brewers -133!

For Friday, let's go Under the total at Sun Trust Park when the Nats and Braves take to the diamond.

Max Scherzer and Kevin Gausman will be on the hill, as the Nationals have held Under in their last pair, and 3 of their last 4 overall, while the Braves are back home after 3 straight games Under the total on their just completed west coast swing.

Scherzer and Gausman both tote in ERA's in the 2's as they prepare to mow down the batters tonight.

Mighty Max is 2-1 in his work against the Braves this season with a 1.67 ERA, while Gausman did work 6 innings of 2 run ball in a start against the Nats while with the Orioles earlier this year.

Take the Under.

1* WASHINGTON-ATLANTA UNDER
__________________________

Chris Jordan

My free winner for tonight is on the Atlanta Braves plus the money against the Washington Nationals, who arrive after yesterday's loss to the Chicago Cubs in a write-in game. And in this one, I'm not listing pitchers, as I think this should be based on pure momentum.

Let's start with the Braves, who have won five straight, after losing four of five previously, and seem to be in a good spot right now. They lead the National League East, sitting 7 1/2 games in front of the Philadelphia Philles, and it's been a resurgent offense.

The Braves are hitting .260 this season, back by Freddie Freeman's bat, as he's stroking a cool .307. Ozzie Albies has 96 runs and 68 RBIs for the Braves on the yeaar, and Ronald Acuna has nine hits, two home runs and a .553 slugging percentage over his past 10 games for Atlanta.

Tonight that offense will take advantage of a Washington team that had to hang back in D.C., only to lose to the Cubs 4-3 in a makeup of a game postponed earlier in the week. Javier Baez homered and drove in three runs, including the go-ahead run with a bunt single in the 10th inning.

Now, with time to rest, the Nats are on the road, and couldn't have traveled to Atlanta at a worse time.

Take the Braves and don't worry about who's pitching.

4* BRAVES

Friday comp play on the Dodgers-Cardinals Under the total.

It was a big run total between the teams last night - 16 combined runs - but tonight we have a pair of pitchers that have shown they can get the job done against the hitters in Walker Buehler and Jack Flaherty who opposed one another back on August 22nd in a game they allowed a combined one run in while they were both toeing the rubber.

The Under has cashed in 2 of Buehler's last 3 starts, and is 12-7 for the season when he is on the mound.

The Under while Flaherty is on the mound has banked in each of his last 3 starts, and is an overall 15-8-1 in his starts this year.

I see these 2 pitchers working deep into this game with plenty of goose eggs being posted on the scoreboard.

Dodgers and Cardinals to hold Under on Friday.

2* L.A. DODGERS-ST. LOUIS UNDER

Friday's comp play is the smoking Rockies to open in San Francisco with the win over the Giants.

Colorado enters this September series with the lead in the division race, as they have won 9 of their last 12 games. Included is a 3 game sweep of San Francisco earlier this month, as the Rockies have won 7 in a row over the Giants in this year's season series. Meanwhile, the Giants losing streak is now at 11 in a row as they send Chris Stratton to the mound to look to end the misery.

Stratton is 1-1 in 3 appearances against Colorado this year, but his ERA stands at 9.82.

Tyler Anderson needs to step things up, as he is 0-5 over his last 7 starts. With the way his team is playing, I have a feeling he will.

Colorado keeps rolling.

4* COLORADO
