We're getting a lot of value with two teams playing out the string. The Nationals start Strasburg who is a known commodity but probably an overrated one. Strasburg has been feasting off the spiraling Phillies of late but hasn't been very good against anyone else. The Marlins counter with Sandy Alcantara, an unknown commodity who just happens to be one of Miami's top pitching prospects. In his 3 starts this season he is 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA and a Whip of only 0.95. Take the Marlins and get a nice return on your investment. The Pick: Marlins +183

My money is on the UNDER 9 in Tuesday's NL Central clash between the Reds and Brewers. Milwaukee won the series opener 8-0 on Monday and that one stayed under the mark of 9. Most of the offense in that one came from Christian Yelich, who hit for the cycle again. Prior to that the Brewers had scored just 3 runs in their previous 2 games combined and I think we see the offense struggle to come close to yesterday's production at the plate. As for the Reds, their offense has been non-existent of late. Cincinnati was shutout for the second time in three games and have scored a mere 8 runs in their last 6 games combined. I don't see them snapping out of that funk against Milwaukee's Chase Anderson, who has a 1.93 ERA over his last 3 starts and a 2.98 ERA in 10 career starts against the Reds. Bet the UNDER 9!

The Milwaukee Brewers shut out the Reds in an 8-0 rout at Miller Park Monday night. I think runs will come at a premium for the visitors once again here when coming up against Milwaukee right-hander Chase Anderson.
Anderson (9-7, 3.85 ERA) is 5-1 with a 2.98 ERA in 10 career starts against the Reds, including a 3-0 record behind a 3.63 ERA in three starts this season. Under is 11-2-2 in Andersons last 15 starts vs. National League Central opponents and 5-2 in his last seven home starts.
The Reds counter with right-hander Michael Lorenzen (3-1, 3.21 ERA) who will make his first start since 2015. He has posted a 3.21 ERA in 42 appearances out of the bullpen this season and the 26 year old must be looking forward to this opportunity with Tyler Mahle (shoulder) out.
Under is 6-1 in Brewers' last 7 overall. Under is 5-0-1 in Reds' last 6 overall.

I'll take my chances here with Oakland defeating the Angels at home. The A's are going to be excited to be back home after a disappointing 3-3 road trip against the Orioles and Rays. Oakland is 22-7 over their 29 home games. They are also 23-9 in their last 32 against the AL West and have won 4 straight series openers. Angels will send out Tyler Skaggs, who is making his first start since he last faced the A's back on 8/11. Skaggs was torched for 7 runs on 10 hits in that loss to Oakland and is 2-5 with a 5.32 ERA in 8 career starts against the A's. LA is just 6-20 in their last 26 road games against a team with a winning record. Give me the A's -141!

I got no problem laying a big number with the Dodgers at home against the Rockies on Tuesday. LA will have their ace, Clayton Kershaw on the mound and he's got a 2.51 ERA and 1.012 WHIP in 23 starts this season. Kershaw has absolutely owned Colorado in his career, as he's 22-7 with a 3.21 ERA in 39 career starts. In his last 17 home starts against the Rockies, the Dodgers have left victorious 15 times.
Making matters worse for Colorado is the fact that they come into this game struggling at the plate. After scoring just 2 runs in last night's 8-2 loss, the Rockies have scored just 5 runs in their last 4 games combined. All 4 games have come on the road, where the Rockies are averaging just 4.2 runs/game and hitting a mere .229 as a team on the season.
Colorado will send out lefty Kyle Freeland and the Dodgers are 38-16 in their last 54 home games vs a left-handed starter. Take Los Angeles!
