The Blue Devils are coming off a yuuuuuge win over YOUR Miami Hurricanes in a contest in which they were badly outgained BUT one that made them bowl eligible. Now they come home to face their hated rival in a game that probably means more to UNC (this is their biggest game left on the schedule; no bowl for YOU) as Duke is sitting at 6-3 and just waiting to see what medium-level bowl they will participate in this season. North Carolina has not quit and have played well on the whole in their last six games and shown no quit. Beat Pitt. Lost to Miami 47-10 but were almost equal in yards and gave up three defensive TDs. Lost to Va Tech by 3. Lost at Syracuse by 3. Lost at Virginia by 10. Lost to Ga Tech by 10 after falling behind….coming back….and turning it over late. The offenses are about equal in our view although we worry about the depth at QB for UNC (read: none). UNC does a better job of rushing the passer. Duke has displayed a SOFT UNDERBELLY vs the run in recent weeks. The Blue Devils have been outscored in conference play and have been very disappointing as conference favs (lost outright to Va Tech and Virginia). Plug your nose and take the Tar Heels.
