Do you really think this atrocious Louisville team is going to hold this Syracuse team to 10 points the way they did in last year's 56-10 home win over the Orange? Not a chance in hell!
The Cardinals have allowed plenty of big numbers this season, including 77 last week in their loss at Clemson, and how about the 66 they allowed at home to Georgia Tech in early October?
Louisville has played each of their last 5 games, and 6 of their 9 overall this season Over the total, and this one against the revenging 'Cuse sure has the look of another game that will land Over the total.
Syracuse has played 3 of their last 4 games Over the total, and Dino Babers' team has scored an average of over 42 points per game in those 4 games.
Eric Dungy is now a senior for the 'Cuse, and he will be looking for his first career win in his last career shot against the 'Ville, so expect him to be extra-amped for this showdown in front of the home crowd.
It looks to me like Louisville has thrown in the towel, and although the Cardinals offense is not nearly as prolific as it used to be when Lamar Jackson was running the show, I think they can be counted on for 14-17 points tonight to help aid the cause. If they do that, I surely think the Syracuse offense can carry the rest of the scoring load needed to take this one Over the total.
Louisville-Syracuse Over.
4* LOUISVILLE-SYRACUSE OVER

Friday night freebie is the Philadelphia 76ers at home over the Charlotte Hornets.
Philly feeling good about themselves after they notched their first road win of the season earlier this week, defeating Indiana 100-94 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Now back on their home court where they have rolled a perfect 6-for-6 straight up, and have covered in 4 of the 6 wins they will face a Charlotte team that they held off 105-103 back on October the 27th in one of the two games they did not cover at home.
That win marked the 7th straight series win for Philly, and was the first time they did not cover in any of those 7 wins.
The Hornets are no pushovers, as they come to Philadelphia off back-to-back home wins, but as you can see by the recent series meetings, Charlotte just does not match up well when facing the 76ers.
I will go ahead and lay the wood with the Sixers here on Friday.
2* PHILADELPHIA

Friday's free play winner is the Over in the Nets and Nuggets.
This will be the first of a pair of season series meetings, and while their last tussle in Brooklyn last November did hold Under, that has not been the norm when these teams met.
Prior to that Under, the teams had played 5 in a row Over the posted price, and they are surely capable of eclipsing this number again tonight in the Mile High City.
The Nets have netted 104 points or better in 6 of their last 7 games, and 4 of those 7 have landed Over the posted price.
The Nuggets are currently on a 5-1 Under run their last 6 games, but they have scored 103 points or better in 7 of their last 8 games contested.
Denver has played 8 of their last 9 at home Over the total when facing a team with a losing record, while Brooklyn is on a 4-0 Over clip their last 4 on the road when playing teams with a winning mark.
Both situations apply tonight.
Friday night fireworks in Denver.
Nets-Nuggets Over the total.
2* BROOKLYN-DENVER OVER

My free play for tonight is on the San Jose Sharks, on the road in St. Louis, against the Blues. Cheap price for the Sharks, who have the talent to go in and steal this one from the Blues.
San Jose, in on a 6-2-2 run, will be a tad bit pissed off after last night's loss in Dallas. The Sharks erased a two-goal deficit in the third but ultimately fell short 4-3.
Timo Meier recorded his team-leading 12th goal of the season while Brent Burns registered his 400th NHL assist on Joe Pavelski's goal and earned his second straight multi-assist game. Evander Kane also scored his fifth goal of the season. The elements were there and San Jose's stars were aligned, only it was the Stars who got the dub.
Now I expect the Sharks to respond against a Blues team they went 2-0-1 against last season. And, over the last 10 games on the road against the Blues, the Sharks are 6-3-1.
During this 10-game streak, San Jose has outscored opponents 36-29 and allowed just one power-play goal in 25 disadvantages (96 percent) with the third-best penalty kill in the league. The Sharks' penalty kill has allowed just two power play goals in their last 12 games (33 of 35, 94.3 percent). Also on special teams, the Sharks' power play has converted 8 of 29 chances for a 27.5 percent conversion rate, since Oct. 18.
Look for San Jose to get the cash tonight.
4* SHARKS

Indiana State played a solid half against Ball State before the roof caved in and they lost 86-69. They allowed them to shoot 49.2% from the field on their way to the victory. The Sycamores have some talent on offense, but once again have failed to show commitment on defense. Wisconsin Green Bay won their non-division one game 110-54 and want to push the pace whenever possible. Sandy Cohen is back and he could be the best player on the court. ISU has gone over in 40 of their last 60 games including 17 of their last 26 on the road. This game last year saw ISU win 85-63 going over that total. I think this one does too despite the early start time.

Play on: Southern Illinois +18 -110 at BetPhoenix
I think are thinking Kentucky will just bounce back and blow teams out. I'm not sure of that. If you watched the game vs Duke, this Kentucky team has very streaky shooters played average to poor defense and just didn't look right. Granted, give Duke credit they looked unreal, but in no way do I see a blowout from the Wildcats tonight.
Southern Illinois is a team that won 20 games last season and return basically everyone. We all know how good Loyola was from the Missouri Valley last season. This team is my pick to win the conference this year. With 3 guys returning that averaged in double figures they won't be afraid here.

10* FREE NBA PICK (Hornets +6)
I'll take my chances here with Charlotte as a decently priced road dog against the 76ers. Philadelphia is a perfect 6-0 at home and fresh off an impressive 100-94 win at Indiana. I just think it has the 76ers getting a little too much respect here against a very underrated Hornets team. While Charlotte is just 6-5 to start the year, they are outscoring their opponents by 8.0 ppg. Philadelphia is 7-5 and getting outscored by 0.6 ppg. Charlotte has been outstanding on the offensive end. They are 8th in scoring at 115.5 ppg, 5th in offensive efficiency (behind only Warriors, Bucks, Raptors, and Blazers) and own the 6th best effective field goal percentage. This is also a big revenge spot for the Hornets, who lost at Philadelphia 105-103 back on Oct. 27th. 76ers just played 2 on the road and have to hit the road right after this game, as they play at Memphis tomorrow night. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't play their best here and even if they do, I think Charlotte can hang around to cover this number. Give me the Hornets +6!

NBA | Celtics vs Jazz
Play on: UNDER 209 -109
1* Free Pick on Celtics/Jazz UNDER 209
I just don't see this one going over the total posted by the books. Boston has to be running on fumes after rallying from 22 down in the 2nd half to force overtime and steal a win over the Suns. Irving played 43 minutes, Brown played 39 and both Horford and Tatum eclipsed 30.
Not only are they going to be tired from that game, but this is also their 4th straight on the road and Utah isn't exactly the easiest place to play on the 2nd game of a back-to-back.
This also isn't just another game for these two teams. It's the first game back in Utah for former Jazz star Gordon Hayward, who left them for Boston in free agency last year.
The Jazz will be motivated here to show they don't need him to be a good team, while the other Celtics' players will be motivated to help Hayward get a win his return visit. That defensive intensity combined with the spot and this being a prime time game, will keep us under the mark.
UNDER is 9-1 in Utah's last 10 vs the Eastern Conference, 15-5 in their last 20 at home when they come in having lost 3 of their last 4 and 7-3 in their last 10 when playing a team that's won more than 60% of their games.
UNDER is also 5-1 in the Celtics last 6 road games vs a team with a losing home record and 7-1 in their last 8 when their starters combine for more than 160 minutes. Take the UNDER!
