My comp play for Monday will be to look for a lower-scoring affair when Tennessee and Dallas do battle.
Both teams enjoyed their bye-week last weekend, and while the Cowboys did improve their offense with the addition of Amari Cooper, not so sure they see the dividends just yet.
Tennessee went to their break with 3 straight games holding Under the total, and the Titans have also played Unders in 5 of their last 6 overall.
Dallas also went to their bye with an Under played at Washington, as 5 of their 7 this year have landed Low. The Cowboys are also a protracted 13-3 Under run since the middle of last season.
Too many stats say this one lands Low.

For Monday, let's back the Pelicans as the underdog in OKC.
This has been the road-trip from hell for the Pels, as they have played 4 games already away from home, and they have lost all 4 of those games. Tonight concludes 5 straight on the highway, and they will be playing a Thunder team that is starting to hit their stride.
After opening the year with 4 straight losses, Billy Donovan's team has won 4 in a row to even their season mark at 4-4. Based on those facts, you would think that the line tonight should be a few points higher, but the fact it is where it is tells me that New Orleans is the play.
Anthony Davis has played in just 2 of the Pelicans last 5 games as he is dealing with an elbow injury, but after playing 40 minutes over the weekend, the big man is probable for tonight's showdown. Alvin Gentry's team may also get back point guard Elfrid Payton who has sat out the Pelicans last 4 games with a sprained ankle.
New Orleans was able to win 2 of 3 off of Oklahoma City last season, including a win on Thunder hardwood back in April.
Desperate for a salvage, look for New Orleans to take this one right down to the wire.

Monday's comp play winner is the Golden State Warriors to lay waste to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Golden State was off yesterday, while Memphis was busy doing battle in the Valley of the Sun, as the Grizzlies fell to the Suns in a close one, 102-100.
That loss by Memphis snapped a 3-game winning streak, as the Grizzlies have been a little better than expected early this year with a 5-3 ledger. Do not expect Memphis to get back on track against the class of the league, as Golden State sure looks like they are well on their way to another NBA Championship.
The Dubs have lost only once through the first 10 in the books, and they have been able to take care of business at the ticket window as they enter play tonight with 3 straight covers, and covers in 6 of their last 7 games - all of them as the favorite. Oh, and they have covered in each of their last 5 chances as the double-digit favorite, so do not let this big impost frighten you off.
It's an unrested team taking on the rested team, and it's going to be a blowout.

The Pistons are worth a look here as they look to end their 4 game losing streak. You to look at who they have lost to though with two of them being the Celtics and one being the Sixers. Those are two of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Heat have some questionable injuries right now with Whiteside and Dragic. The Pistons are a vastly improved team this season and the books aren't taking that into account here.

I'll take my chances here with OKC as a small home favorite against the Pelicans. After starting out the season 0-4, the Thunder have responded in a big way with 4 straight wins. They were missing Westbrook to start out the year and he took a bit to get back in the flow of things. I've got really high expectations for this team going forward and expect a big effort here at home against a quality opponent. This is just a tough spot for the Pelicans. New Orleans is reeling with 5 straight losses and will be playing their 5th and final road game of a lengthy trip that started back on Oct. 29th. Anthony Davis is going to play, but I think he's playing at less than 100% right now. I also think New Orleans really misses Elfrid Payton. He was a big reason to their impressive 4-0 start. Payton was putting up 11.6 ppg, 6.4 apg and 6.0 rpg. He's close to returning from an ankle injury, but has been ruled out from this one. Give me OKC -3.5!

Tennessee is extremely tough defensively and Dallas is not can have an easy time getting a commanding lead in this game. They have a solid defense as well, but Tennessee should provide enough offense to keep this game close.
Prescott continues to struggle following an outstanding rookie season two years ago. He has completed 62.1% of his passes, but for only 1417 yards and eight touchdowns. Prescott has been sacked 23 times this season. Despite the poor performance against Washington, Elliott is regaining his form, averaging 4.7 yards per carry in a season where he has 619 yards rushing.

The Utah Jazz will be highly motivated for a victory tonight when they square off against the Toronto Raptors. The Jazz have lost three straight coming in, which is why they are now home underdogs to the Raptors in this matchup. I think there’s value taking the home team here.
The Raptors are in a tough spot as they will be playing the second of a back-to-back after beating the Lakers 121-107 on the road last night. The Raptors aren’t used to having to play in altitude, and that will make it more difficult on them than normal in this back-to-back spot. And Kawhi Leonard is questionable to suit up again tonight.
I realize the Jazz will be without Donovan Mitchell, but that’s certainly factored into the line. The Jazz have played the last few games without him so they should be used to it by now. And they had yesterday off so they’ll be the fresher team in this matchup.

The Nuggets come into this one off an impressive 103-88 win over the Jazz. Not only did they just hold a good Utah offense to 88 points, but they have held each of their last 3 opponents to 42% or worse from the field. That combined with the perception that Boston is this elite defensive team, has created some big time value here on the OVER.
No question these two teams can play defense, but I just don't think it's asking a lot for them to eclipse 210 points. The average score for Nuggets' home games this season is 212.8. OVER is also 18-5 in their last 23 at home after playing their previous game against a division opponent and 11-2 in their last 13 off a win at home over a division rival.
OVER is 4-1 in Denver's last 5 vs a team with a winning record and 4-1 in Boston's last 5 vs a team with a winning record. It's also 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in this series.
