Tuesday comp play in the NBA will be the Nuggets at home to take care of the visiting Dallas Mavericks.
True, Denver did just play last night at Sacramento, as the Nuggets left Cali with the 7-point road win and cover to improve to 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the spread, but I don't mind backing them minus the points in this back-to-back spot at all.
The Nuggets just don't lose that often at home no matter the schedule situation, and they have won each of the last 6 visits the Mavericks have made to the Mile High City and happen to be fresh off a season series 3-0 straight up sweep last year. Denver did cover in 2 of the 3 series meetings last season as well.
The Mavericks will definitely be improved this season if they can stay healthy, as the Luka Doncic - Kristaps Porzingas pairing produced wins in the first pair of games this season for the Mavs, but they did lose on Sunday at home to Portland.
The improved lineup for Dallas means the price on this game is not a double-digit impost. I will take my chances with the Nuggets at home as the single-digit favorite tonight.
