Redskins have looked quite decent to above average on offense...despite being led by Case Keenum and a slew of receivers no one knows...no Jordan Reed yet and for the game in question...no Guice as the primary back either!
Skins came out HOT in both the losses they've suffered so far...but as the game normalized the better divisional opponent took over and other than garbage time TDs the game came down to the wire not in doubt...either week 1 or 2. The game they just played against the Boys yielded just 4.6 yards per play and featured just 9 drives. The defense Keenum has faced with his new team improved vastly from the Eagles to the Cowboys....and will now take a further step up facing the Bears on Monday night. What the Bears have lacked while they possessed the ball they have made up for by being even better than they were last year on the defensive end.
Bears defense has given up a total of 24 points despite going 1-1...and the Nagy/Trubisky combo ALMOST letting them down to the tune of 0-2 were it not for a season saving FG as time expired in Denver. Trubisky has looked anything but good and now gets a second straight road start no matter how lacking the opponent may be the spot ain't good for the Bears offense at all...and while the defense has allowed 24 points their offense has put just 19 points on the board for the Super Fans.
Vegas is certainly baiting us here with a stand alone game and knowing the action will be hot and heavy from come one come all bettors...and the majority of bettors aren't running to any windows to bet an Under....no matter what defenses are on display...and.when a total pops at 42 they are desperate!

I will have further analysis to come....but want to make sure everyone has a chance at such a great number!
41 and 41.5 (buy the hook) are both solid spots and key numbers as well....maybe not quite to the 5% range but the winner of this game likely has 20 points at most!

I had hoped this line would tip to Packers -7 by now, but even if this is where it stays by kickoff, I like the home team to cover. The Packers sport one of the best home-field advantages in the league, and the Broncos offense has been woeful over the first two weeks. Yes, they've played tough defenses, but this Green Bay unit looks like it could be one of the best in the league as well. Though the Broncos have a good defense as well, facing Aaron Rodgers is a step up from matchups with Derek Carr and Mitchell Trubisky. Packers in a rout.

The Seahawks are getting healthier, with Ziggy Ansah set to make his season debut, which will strengthen the front four for Seattle. I need to see something better from Teddy Bridgewater than what he showed last week and in Week 17 last year before he gets as strong a rating as this line implies with the dropoff from Drew Brees. Going into Seattle, where the Seahawks have won their last 15 home games in September and are 12-3 ATS during that stretch, isn't easy when you're relatively healthy. For the Saints, it could get ugly.

Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears offense have looked pretty awful so far, and I don't know how you trust them on the road. But Chicago has one of the best defenses in the league, and you have to figure they'll show up in primetime. This should be just like the first two Bears game, with not a lot of scoring in the cards.

The Falcons come into this game as the healthier team, with the Colts banged up in particular on defense. I like the matchup of Matt Ryan vs. Jacoby Brissett considering that we're on the side getting points. The Falcons defense ranks top eight in net yards allowed per pass attempt and yards allowed per rush attempt, so that defense has played well through two weeks despite tough matchups. The Falcons' receiving weapons should win out in this battle, and I like the Falcons in an indoor game when they go on the road.

I think there's a big coaching mismatch between Sean McVay and Freddie Kitchens, and I like the Rams' pass-catchers matching up against the Browns secondary a lot more than Odell Beckham Jr. & Co. against Aqib Talib and the Rams. And if this game is close late, I have much more faith in Greg Zuerlein making a key kick.

The Broncos might be 0-2 straight-up, but its losses are by a combined 10 points.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson has unleashed only 57 passes as coach John Harbaugh leans toward the rush in play-calling. The Ravens blitzed quarterback Patrick Mahomes successfully last season and, though the game did generate 51 points, kept him relatively in check.

In fact, Washington QB Case Keenum, a placeholder for rookie Dwayne Haskins, has been better than Trubisky. An extra day to prepare could allow various injured Redskins enough time to mend. If the heightened home-field advantage on Monday night kicks in, the ’Skins, in desperation mode at 0-2, could win outright.

Their per-play yield of 4.6 yards is tied for fourth-lowest in the league. On offense, the inconsistency of QB Jameis Winston suggests the Bucs' unit will do its share to keep a lid on the scoring.

Shhhh, no one wants to mention just how good Oakland has been so far. Derek Carr has thrown for 457 yards and a 51.1 QBR that is 15th in the NFL. The Raiders just look better than the Vikings so far, and the road dog looks good here.

This Bears defense is still every bit as good as advertised, which is good because the offense has been anemic and quarterback Mitch Trubisky seems to be regressing week to week. Trubisky has only thrown for 238 yards and doesn't have a passing TD so far en route to a 22.1 QBR. Washington had looked downright capable in the first half of games against Philadelphia and Dallas, only to fade in both down the stretch. This is a game for the Redskins to finally figure it out for four quarters, and for more questions about Trubisky to be asked in Chicago.

But Carolina’s go to guy is still RB Christian McCaffrey. This player is all everything. The Panthers offense should have success. The problem for the Cardinals (our gain) is their defense giving up an average of 477.5 total yards per game. That’s a great recipe for the upset. Arizona will find out today that it’s hard to win games when the defense is getting lit up on a weekly basis. The Panther defense is very capable of stepping up and stopping running back David Johnson and focusing on Kyler Murray. The defensive advantage goes to Carolina. Look out but don’t be surprised how a desperate 0-2 team may play with a healthy capable quarterback and the heroic play and leadership of
Christian McCaffrey.

Last week, there was plenty of the good and bad as Baker Mayfield had five completions of 25 or more yards, with perhaps his best one a 25-yard strike over the middle to Jarvis Landry that set up Austin Siebert’s 43-yard field goal. Odell Beckham finished with 161 receiving yards and their offense should continue to go full speed. Defensively, Browns LB Joe Schobert will be very busy stopping Todd Gurley but who’s better? The Browns’ success will hinge mainly on Myles Garrett getting to Jared Goff with his disruptive skills. Cleveland has the balance which really hasn’t been shown on offense. While understandable that Mayfield is the first name that comes up when talking about the Browns offense, there is still a sense that RB Nick Chubb has barely scratched the surface of his potential as he enters his second year as the featured running back (the Rams had difficulties containing Christian McCaffrey in Week 1). The staff has been working with Mayfield to throw the ball a second quicker. That should help him from forcing some errant throws and actually balance the playing field to short, long and screen or run. That will also get Jarvis Landry more involved. Their plan tonight is about taking what the Rams give Mayfield underneath, which means opportunities for Chubb out of the backfield and Harris on short routes as Mayfield’s check-down option. If they can drag Littleton out of position in the middle of the field, Beckham and Landry could also find success on shallow crossing routes or Beckham could go deeper. Cleveland can move the chains running the ball and keeping the Rams offense off the field. That is their best path to a solid victory tonight.

I love how both teams fought to avoid 0-2. The question today is when is the Andrew Luck absence going to really hit Indianapolis? Jacoby Brissett is doing a fine job, but Andrew Luck he is not. Marlon Mack is also banged up which could hamper the running game. The Colts will be missing linebacker Darius Leonard today as well. Last week was a page turning game for the Falcons. This is a football team with all the talent in the world yet just have not been able to do anything with it from their collapse in the Super Bowl. There is a lot of depth on this Falcons Defense and finally they are healthy after the back end of their defense was the most injured in all of football last year. A win today on the road will have this team back as a legit threat in the NFC. Take Atlanta.

Dak Prescott has looked amazing. Zeke Elliot has looked amazing. The Offensive Line has looked amazing. With Dak being in a contract year what a game this will be to pad the stats. The Dolphins have been a train wreck, but getting away from home out on the road is a major relief in this game. Don’t be surprised if the Dolphins strike first in this one. Dallas has not really been set in their defensive line as DeMarcus Lawrence is just getting back to form after injury, Woods is out today, Crawford is out and Charlton has been traded to the team they are playing today. This front seven for the Cowboys is good, but it lacks depth and I believe the Fins can score today just off the pure disinterest the Cowboys might have when they have a lead. Can Josh Rosen prove he is the #1 QB for this Dolphins team? I like the Cowboys today, but obviously the 22 point spread is outrageously high for a team to cover not named the Patriots. Kyle Allen has been in this system and will get his shots against a Cardinals Defense lacking depth. This secondary for Arizona is vulnerable with key suspensions and regular starters on IR. Kyler Murray is getting better each week and I believe will be able to move the ball on this defense. Again, Murray being young will make it hard for him to go out and get the victory for his team simply because he has yet to do it. This should be an entertaining game. Take the Panthers and the Over.
