NHL | Ducks vs Penguins

The NHL Comp play is on Pittsburgh at 7:05 eastern. The Penguins fit a slid 569-268 long term NHL System we use and they are off a a home loss. They are 5-0 at home vs a ,600 or better team and the favorite in this series with Anaheim has won 6 of 8. The Ducks are off to a fast start winning the first 3 games but are 5-12 as a road dog and have dropped 26 of 36 vs the East conference and 20 of 28 on Thursdays. Look for the Penguins to cool off the Ducks tonight. Thursday night football 8:20pm ET from Foxborough Mass. We get the Patriots hosting the Giants and the UNDER has value for me here tonight. Bookmakers list the Patriots as a 16.5-point favorite, and the over-under for total points set at 42. A lot of movement on this line as it opened at -13.5 in favor of New England and the total opened at 46.5.
New England is going for their fourth 6-0 start under Belichick thanks to a defense that has only allowed 34 points so far this season. Meanwhile the Giants come into this game with a MASH unit offense. Barkley OUT, Gallman his backup OUT, Shepard OUT, Engram questionable with a sprained MCL, and a rookie QB playing his first ever game against Tom Brady and the #1 defense. It all has to be too much one would think.
The Patriots defense will be feasting all night long. They are allowing just 6.8 points and 238.4 yards per game, and they lead the NFL in sacks and INT's and haven't allowed a passing TD yet. New England will win this game have no doubt but how well will their defense play is what I'm really wanting to see here. I predict they dominate the Giants in this one. The Giants are a mess right now, and I don't see them slowing this New England offense down at all. I can't say I have much faith in Jon Hilliman and Elijhaa Penny to score points.
Some trends to consider. The total has gone UNDER in 7 of NY Giants' last 9 games against an opponent in the AFC East division. The total has gone UNDER in 5 of New England's last 6 games, and it has gone UNDER in 5 of New England's last 7 games vs. the Giants. Lastly the UNDER is 5-2 in Patriots last 7 home games.
I see this one staying under 40, oh and Brady, is 11-1 on Thursday nights. Back the UNDER.

NHL | Bruins vs Avalanche

The Bruins are not a team I like to go against very often. This is one of those rare exceptions. Boston is 3-0 on its season-opening road trip. The Bruins just upset the Golden Knights on Tuesday. Now they go into high altitude for their fourth road game in eight days against Colorado, a team that has made the playoffs the past two seasons and appears improved this year. The Avalanche are 2-0 with a pair of two-goal home victories against the Flames and Wild. Colorado has won eight in a row at Pepsi Center and has defeated the Bruins at home each of the last two seasons. The Avalanche's first line of Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog is as good a top line as any in the NHL. While the Bruins carry a high fatigue rating, the Avalanche have been idle since Saturday. Colorado should be rested and ready. This is the Avalanche's spot.
