For Chicago, QB Mitch Trubisky finally lived up to expectations in the second half on Sunday, and a carryover into this short week is plausible.

With Matthew Stafford expected to be sidelined again, I can't fade the public and take the Lions here. The Bears didn't look great in a win over the Giants, with the offense making plenty of mistakes to go with their positive plays. But the Lions defense has been terrible, and the team does nothing well with Stafford's absence sinking their passing attack. At least the Bears have a great defense that ranks fourth in points per game, net yards per pass attempt and yards per rush.

Both of these teams have beaten up on bad teams and have lost to good teams. Today we will find out which team is for real. I like that Buffalo has gone more up tempo. Whenever you bet an Over its always refreshing seeing teams snap the ball with a lot of time on the play clock as those seconds add up over 60 minutes into more plays. More plays equals potential points. Both teams have a lot of receivers who can get open and both teams have great running backs that make it impossible for a defense to cheat. Both teams have QB’s that can make plays with their feet as well. Well balanced offenses have more of a chance of putting up points. I think these two teams are evenly matched. Buffalo is getting a lot of love by the public today which always makes you nervous if you are backing them. I think the safe play here is the total. Both teams should do enough to make this a high scoring game. Take the Over.
