Ravens vs. Browns
Browns+11½ -135

Since 1992, road favorites in the last month of the year are just 40-72-3 ATS (64.3% to fade) off of a home win now facing a team off of a road loss.

Steelers vs. Jets
Jets+3 -102

The set-up: The Jets were destroyed 42-21 at Baltimore last Thursday , but they'll be plenty motivated here in my opinion to play spoiler vs. a Steelers team which was unable to deliver the goods at home vs. the Bills on Sunday night, falling 17-10. Pittsburgh has looked decent defensively as it tries to figure out its rotating QB issues, but I believe it'll have its hands full here vs. Sam Darnold in his last regular season home contest (the Jets then end their season on the road in Buffalo.)

The pick: The Steelers are also a poor 1-3 ATS in their last four after allowing 17 points or less in three straight games, while the Jets are 10-5 ATS in their last 15 as a home dog, including 3-1 ATS this year as a home underdog of seven points or less. It's been an incredible run for Mike Tomlin and the Steelers considering all of the adversity they've had to overcome, but I believe that they've run out of gas . Consider the points in this contest.

Ravens vs. Browns
Ravens-10 +103

It might seem like their is line value with the home dog here today, but there is not according to my score projections. However, its important to noted that Ravens have had the pedal to the proverbial metal since the beginning of this pre season, and Im betting nothing changes here today vs the under achieving Browns. HC Harbaugh has feasted against poor run defences in his time in Baltimore going 8-1 ATS in road games versus poor rushing defenses - allowing 130 or more rushing yards/game in the second half of the season with the average ppg diff clicking in at +15.9 ppg. With that said, Im betting on LeMar Jackson and company running wild today on their way to a lopsided victory vs a team with talent but not chemistry. BALTIMORE is 6-0 ATS in road games in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons with the average ppg diff clicking in at +16.9 ppg.

The Browns are 0-13 ATS /SU L/13 on grass off a double-digit loss as a TD-plus dog in which they committed at least two turnovers with the average ppg diff clicking in at -19.1 ppg with every loss coming by 12 points per game or more.

Play on the Baltimore Ravens to cover

Projected score: Baltimore 34 Browns 13

Giants vs. Redskins
Redskins PK -123

My 1* FREE PLAY is on the Washington Redskins.

After picking up consecutive wins over Detroit and Carolina, Washington has lost two in a row. That includes a crazy game vs. the Eagles last weekend. Dwayne Haskins hasn't been great, he enters this one with 1,232 yeards, five TDs and seven INTs. RB Adrian Peterson has been a bright spot with 784 rushing yards and four TD's for the Skins.

The Giants finally broke their nine-game losing streak in what was likely veteran QB Eli Manning's final game in front of the home town crowd vs. Miami last Sunday. Note that Daniel Jones is expected back under center today though as the rookie has recovered from his sprained ankle.

Key Trends:

- New York is just 4-6 ATS this year as an underdog.

- The Giants are only 3-5 ATS in their last eight following a SU win.

- Washington is 5-1 ATS in its last six after allowing 35 points or more in its previous outing.

The verdict: Washington has been competitive, covering the spread in three of its last four. The Redskins don't have much to work with, but they've been better since firing Jay Gruden. I expect home field to matter in this matchup; consider the Skins in this one!

Bengals vs. Dolphins
Bengals PK -123

Play – Cincinnati Bengals (Game 469).

Edges – Bengals: 7-1 ATS away versus foes coming off consecutive losses, and QB Andy Dalton 9-3 SU and 9-2-1 ATS away in December versus sub .600 opponents … Dolphins: 1-5 SUATS in Last Home Games … We recommend a 1* play on Cincinnati. Thank you and good luck as always.

THE GOLD SHEET

Event: (467) Pittsburgh Steelers at (468) New York Jets
Sport/League: NFL
Date/Time: December 22, 2019 1PM EST
Play: Pittsburgh Steelers -3.0 (-110)

Remember Le’Veon Bell? Toiling in near anonymity for the J-Men this season, his reunion vs. the team he stood up a year ago is at least going to provide colorful cannon fodder for the Post and other NY tabloids this week. Bell is also off of his best game (87 YR) for the Jets, but Mike Tomlin’s sticky D figures to be more animated than usual to face Bell, with the erratic Sam Darnold also in for a rough afternoon. Steel’s margin for error to make playoffs decreased with the close loss vs. the Bills, though Duck Hodges still has Pitt in driver’s seat for final wild card in AFC.

Sport/League: NFL
Date/Time: December 22, 2019 8PM EST
Play: Chicago Bears 5.5 (-108)

We have this game lined at Kansas City -2 as Chicago simply plays better inside the confines of Soldier Field than they do on the road, especially on defense. Getting +5.5 is a few too many points for Chicago here so look for the Bears to keep this one close on Sunday and stay within the number.

Take the Bears plus the points at home against the Chiefs.

Ravens vs. Browns
Ravens-10

The Sunday NFL Comp Play is on Baltimore at 1:00 eastern. This is a major revenge spot for Baltimore as Cleveland pasted them earlier in the season. Now the Ravens look for Some pay pack. The Ravens are 14-0 ATS on the road off a win after a game in which they had more than 150 rushing yards. When playing a divisional teams like the Ravens are 26-5-1 Ats since 2006 as a road favorite off a home game off a 10+ win when they won their last two on the road. When playing a divisional opponent teams teams like the Browns are 4-26 ATS 2007 as a home dog off a game as a favorite when more than 50 points were scored in their last game. The Browns are 1-17 ATS as a 7+ dog on grass after a game in which they committed at least two turnovers. Cleveland looks to be in the wrong place at the wrong time here as Baltimore looks to serve up revenge. Play on The Ravens, Play. For the NFL Free pick. Play on Baltimore. Rob V- GC Sports

Steelers vs. Jets
Jets +3.5

All I've been hearing on talk radio this week is how strong this Steelers defense is. Well guess what? The Jets D isn't too shabby either. Sunday we get the 8-6 (7-5-2 ATS) Steelers vs. the 5-9 (5-9 ATS) Jets at 1pm ET from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The Steelers are trying to get another game over .500 Sunday as they try to keep pace with the Titans in the AFC Playoff hunt. The Jets of course are playing for pride with another season out of the playoffs, but big matchups vs. rivals in the Steelers and Buffalo Bills left on the schedule.

The Steelers looked awful this past Sunday Night, losing to the Buffalo Bills 17-10. The Jets played last Thursday Night against the Ravens where they lost 42-21. It's LeVeon Bell revenge narrative week, and I'm buying. He's looking to improve on his 676 rushing yards and three touchdowns so far in 2019, and I know he's got lots left in the tank for this one since he's been so underused in 2019. He's my x-factor in this one. All eyes will be on Bell and his O-line in this one. If they hold up versus the vaunted Steelers D-Line and keep pounding lanes for Bell I think Darnold can do enough in this one too with nice weapons on the outside in Anderson and Crowder.

Some trends to consider. Pittsburgh are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against an opponent in the AFC East division. NY Jets are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games at home, and are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Head to head in this series the home team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

With Pittsburgh looking for their first win at New York since a 19-6 win on Oct. 13, 2013, I just feel this team can't figure out their identity without Big Ben yet, so I'm on the Jets +3.5 in what should be a low scoring matchup on Sunday. Pound that home dog folks!

Good Luck, Razor Ray.

Browns (+) over Ravens- Okay, here it is. The Browns handed the Ravens one of their two losses this season and many believe they just can't lose twice to these guys...Well, what should matter to you is the result of Chip's Sunday Nite Bail-Out Game of the Year...it's a WINNER! Like Cleveland today

Raiders vs. Chargers
Chargers-7 -120

Sunday NFL Free play. My selection is on Los Angeles minus the points over Oakland at 4:05 pm et on Sunday.

Coming off last week‘s annihilation at the hands of the Vikings and with no expectations whatsoever saddled to them at the end of a lost season, I look for the Chargers to come up with a strong performance and ultimately win this one going away against the Raiders. The wheels came off for the Raiders a long time ago and now they’re in dire straights with RB Josh Jacobs sidelined. I’m confident we’ll see the Chargers pass rush harass QB David Carr into at least a couple of key mistakes in this one. On the flip side, expect to see the Gordon and Ekeler show as L.A. imposes its will on a worn out Raiders defense playing out the string. That unit held up alright last week but that was against an equally distraught Jaguars squad. The Chargers will have some motivation here as they certainly don’t want to finish behind Jon Gruden‘s squad in the AFC West standings (they’re currently a game behind). That’s not saying much but at this stage of the season, it’s something. Take Los Angeles (8*).

Your comp play for this Sunday goes out on Oakland and the Los Angeles Chargers to hold Under the posted price.

I want you to forget the fact the Bolts enter having played each of their last 3 games Over the posted total. You know damn well they are not going to have 7 turnovers today like the way they did last week when they allowed Minnesota to post 39 points on them. In that game the Chargers could only muster 10 points and while that game did indeed land Over the total, games played in Dignity Health Sports Park have generally held Under the total when the Chargers are hosting.

Since their move from San Diego to L.A., the Chargers are 14-7 Under the total in their 21 home games contested. In that same time frame, the Bolts are 11-5 Under the total in their division games played.

Oakland comes down the interstate with a 13-3 Under mark in their last 16 division games played and they also happen to have played 4 of their last 5 games on the year Under the posted total.

Prior to their meeting on November the 7th at the Black Hole that did just slip Over the total, series numbers showed 5 straight series Unders.

Look for a return to form today as the Raiders and Chargers land Under the total.

My free play for Sunday is on the Miami Dolphins over the Cincinnati Bengals, as I'm laying the low-low with the better team.

The Dolphins may be one of the worst teams in the league, but the league made a statement on Tuesday night in omitting the Fins from the Pro Bowl roster that they have nobody worthy of playing in the annual all-star game.

The Dolphins are the only AFC team without a player on the Pro Bowl squad, as of now, before x-number of players opt out pf the game and are replaced with alternates.

Miami was only one of two NFL teams not to have a player on the Pro Bowl squad, along with the New York Giants, the team that beat Miami last week, 36-20.

Now that may not sound like much to us, the betting public, but the Dolphins will take that personal, despite opening the season wearing the "tanking" tag before beating the New York Jets.

I mean, it's true the 3-11 Dolphins haven’t displayed consistent play from anyone this season - at least none Pro Bowl-worthy - but it's the principal.

I mean, honestly, why not include their best athlete, DeVante Parker? He has had a good season with 59 receptions for 954 yards with eight touchdowns. He’s averaging 16.2 yards per catch, ranking 15th among receivers with at least 10 catches.

Whatever the case may be, the Bengals got one in, as Geno Atkins made the list. That's one more than Miami. And that'll be the motivation.

Take the Fins.

For Sunday’s NFL freebie, we’ll grab the big points with the Arizona Cardinals as they head north to Seattle to take on Russel Wilson and the first-place Seahawks.

I know Seattle manhandled the Cardinals during their first meeting this season, rolling to a 27-10 victory in the desert. But that was way back in Week 4. Since then, Arizona is 4-6 SU, but 6-3-1 ATS. And that push would’ve been a spread-cover had the Cardinals not fumbled a lateral in desperation mode on the final play against San Francisco, with the 49ers returning the fumble for a TD to turn a 30-26 game into a completely misleading 36-26 final (with the game landing on the 10-point number).

Since the Week 4 loss to the Seahawks, the Cardinals have had just two clunkers: 31-9 loss at New Orleans, 34-7 home loss to the Rams. Aside from those two defeats (and the fluky 49ers final), Arizona games have been decided by margins of 3 (win), 1 (win), 6 (win), 3 (loss), 3 (loss), 6 (loss) and 14 (last week’s 38-24 rout of the Browns). And while the Cardinals are 2-4 on the road, they’re 4-1-1 ATS, with competitive losses at Baltimore (23-17), Tampa Bay (30-27) and, again, San Francisco.

Yes, this is the first trip for Arizona rookie QB Kyler Murray to Century Link Field, which is one of the NFL’s most intimidating venues for opposing teams. But it’s not like the Seahawks have been world beaters at home this season—while they finished 7-1 on the road, they’re just 4-2 at home. Besides getting blown out by the Ravens (30-16) and Saints (33-27) at home, Seattle beat the Bengals by 1, the Rams by 1, the Bucs by 6 (in overtime) and Vikings by 7.

That’s right: The Seahawks haven’t won a home game by more than a touchdown all season. I don’t see that changing today, for two big reasons: 1) Despite having been eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago, the Cardinals are still playing hard for first-year coach Cliff Kingsbury (see last week’s performance against Cleveland), and 2) This is a major lookahead spot for the Seahawks, who host the 49ers next Sunday in what will be a winner-take-all game for the NFC West.

3* ARIZONA
__________________

MITCHELL NEWMAN

Comp play winner for this Sunday NFL card is Arizona and Seattle to make their way Over the total at CentruryLink Field.

Rookie Kyler Murray was bottled up in the series first meeting between these NFC West Division rivals, as Seattle won a 27-10 decision in Glendale back on Week Four in a game that held easily Under the total.

I like Murray to have more success today against a Seattle defense that has sprung some big leaks since coming out of their bye week and holding Philadelphia to just 9 points. In their 3 games since that 17-9 final, Seattle has gone Over in 2 of 3 and they have allowed 30, 28 and 24 points.

4 of Seattle's last 6 games and 8 of their last 13 games overall this year have squeezed Over the total.

Arizona has also played 4 of their last 6 games on the year Over the total, and are 8-6 Over the total for the season.

Series numbers show each of the last 4 meetings between the teams in the Pacific Northwest have all landed Over the total.

Make it another series Over in Seattle between the Cardinals and the Seahawks.

2* ARIZONA-SEATTLE OVER
