NFL | Falcons vs Bucs
Play on: Bucs PK -110 at 5dimes

Play – Tampa Bay Bucs (Game 110).

Edges – Bucs: head coach Bruce Arians 11-3 SU and 10-2-2 ATS during December against losing opponents … Falcons: 1-7 ATS off back-to-back SUATS wins if they allowed fewer than 14 points in the last game … We recommend a 1* play on Tampa Bay. Thank you and good luck as always.

Eagles vs. Giants

1* NFL - Free Pick on Eagles/Giants UNDER 45½

I really like the value here with the UNDER 45.5 in Sunday's huge NFC East matchup between the Giants and Eagles. For Philadelphia they need to win to clinch a division title and spot in the playoffs. While New York is completely out of it, you can bank on them laying it all on the line to try and spoil the Eagles season.

These two played each other in Philadelphia back in Week 14 on Monday Night Football. The Eagles won that game 23-17 in overtime. The Giants offense scored a mere 17 points, all in the 2nd quarter, and finished with a mere 255 total yards.

I just think we are going to see another defensive struggle here. Philadelphia really has no choice right now but to win ugly. They are down their top two receivers in DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery. On top of that wide out Nelson Agholor, tight end Zach Ertz and tackle Lane Johnson are all questionable.

Also the one guy who really torched the Eagles in the last matchup was wide out Darius Slayton (5 catches, 154 yards, 2 scores) and he's questionable to play. All signs point to this game staying well below the mark. Take the UNDER 45.5!

Dolphins vs. Patriots
UNDER 45½ -110

Now that winter is here the Patriots become more the Sony Michel Show rather than being about Tom Brady. Brady has had only one passer rating above 97 during his last 10 games. A combination of age finally taking its toll on the 42-year-old, only having one reliable wide receiver in Julian Edelman and lack of pass-catching skills from his tight ends have turned Brady into a glorified game manager. New England is averaging 18.6 points in its last six games if you discount its 34-point game against the Bengals in which Andy "Opie Taylor" Dalton threw four interceptions, including a pick-six. The Patriots are going to run Michel, Rex Burkhead and throw in the flat to James White out of the backfield. Safe, conservative plays. That's the Patriots' style these days. They don't need to take chances against an overmatched, patch-work Dolphins squad. Lots of running and short passes keep the clock moving at a brisk pace. Now the Dolphins should give an effort. Their coach, Brian Flores, has kept the locker room from disintegrating despite Miami management making no secret about building for the future. Flores knows Bill Belichick well having been a New England defensive coach for 15 seasons until taking the Miami job. The Patriots shut out the Dolphins, 43-0, back in mid-September. Ryan Fitzpatrick was terrible in that game. The Patriots surrender the fewest points (13.2) and yards (268.3) per game. The Dolphins lack the offensive line and skill position players to do any damage against this dominant defense. Wide receiver DeVante Parker is Miami's lone decent threat and he's going to draw blanket coverage from Stephon Gilmore, who is the best cornerback in football right now. The Dolphins have averaged 12 points during their last two visits to Foxboro. They might not hit that total in this game.

Falcons vs. Bucs
Falcons+1 -104

The set-up: Which team's season has been more disappointing? The Falcons come into Week 17 at 6-9 and the Bucs are 7-8. Neither is going to the playoffs, after each entered the 2019/20 campaign with such lofty expectations. The Falcons were a mess right out of the gate though and they were never able to recover from that terrible start. The Bucs have shown flashes of brilliance at times this season, but overall the team has looked poor this year in all three phases. The difference though as we head into Week 17 is that the Falcons are playing their best football of the year right now, with three straight victories after last week's win over the Jaguars, while the Buccaneers "up and down" season continued with a poor loss to Houston. The Falcons are looking to end on a high note and keep their momentum rolling and I look for them to take advantage of this disinterested home side, which I believe will simply go through the motions this afternoon.

The pick: For what it's worth as well, note that the Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last six off a home win of ten or more points and already 2-1 ATS this season in revenging a loss vs. an opponent (fell earlier at TB this season), while the Bucs are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 as a home favorite of seven points or less, including 0-3 ATS this year. I like ATL to close out strong.

Browns vs. Bengals
OVER 43

This game truly means nothing and it'll show on the field. Cincinnati has locked up the number one pick so we may actually see a good effort from them. Last week the team lost 38-35 in overtime to Miami. They made a valiant comeback to send it to the extra period but lost in the end. The defense has allowed 99 points the last three weeks combined while the offense has shown a little bit of a pulse with Andy Dalton under center. These two met earlier this month in Cleveland with the Browns winning 27-19. Cleveland has lost three of their last four games and are ready for the season to end. The defense has allowed 69 points the last two weeks while the offense has whimpered out as well with Odell Beckham complaining and Baker Mayfield seemingly regressing. To me, this feels like a game that will see plenty of points and very little defensive effort.

Redskins vs. Cowboys

1 Unit FREE PLAY on Washington Redskins +13

The Washington Redskins would love nothing more than to put an end to Dallas’ playoff hopes. They hate the Cowboys, and they will show up despite what you might hear in the media about the Redskins trying to get the 2nd pick in the draft. The Redskins have been impressive here down the stretch. They upset the Lions and Panthers, only lost to the Packers by 5 on the road as 14-point dogs, led the Eagles in the final seconds as 6.5-point dogs and lost in overtime to the Giants. They haven’t lost by this kind of margin in any of their last five games. And I think Case Keenum is an upgrade at quarterback starting over Haskins this week. He led the Redskins to their comeback against the Giants last week. Washington is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games as a road underdog. The Redskins are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 trips to Dallas. I just can’t see the Cowboys being too locked in this week after losing to the Eagles last week and likely losing the NFC East because of it. Give me the Redskins.

Cardinals vs. Rams

Jack’s Free Pick Sunday: Arizona Cardinals +6

The Arizona Cardinals are finishing the season strong in Kliff Kingsbury’s first year. They pulled the 38-24 upset over the Browns two weeks ago behind 445 yards of total offense. And last week they upset the Seahawks 27-13 on the road as 9.5-point dogs and outgained them by 188 yards while holding the Seahawks to just 224 total yards of total offense.

Brett Hundley replaced an injured Kyler Murray early in the 2nd half and played well against Seattle. He completed 11-of-18 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown compared to just 4-of-9 passing for 49 yards for Murray. So while I know Murray is a game-time decision, I believe the Cardinals will be just fine with Hundley if he has to go, especially since he’ll be taking the first-team reps all week in practice.

This free play is more of a bet against the Rams than a bet on the Cardinals, though. The Rams were just in the Super Bowl last year. They had life to make the playoffs last week, but lost on a last-second FG to the 49ers. Now their dreams have been crushed and they won’t be going to playoffs. I don’t expect the Rams to show up at all in Week 17.

The Cardinals have actually played their best football on the road this season. They are 5-1-1 ATS in their seven road games this year. And that push counts the 10-point loss at the 49ers in which they led with 30 seconds left before giving up two touchdowns, one on a lateral fumble on the last play of the game.

Arizona is 6-1-1 ATS in its last eight road games dating back to last year. The Cardinals are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games as road underdogs. Arizona is 7-3-1 ATS in its last 11 games overall. The road team is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Bet the Cardinals Sunday.

Titans vs. Texans
Titans -6

On Sunday the 8-7 (8-7 ATS) Tennessee Titans travel to Houston to take on the 10-5 (7-7-1 ATS) Texans. This game kicks off at 4:25pm ET from NRG Stadium.

The Titans have been snake-bit of late. They blew a 14-0 lead in their 38-28 Week 16 loss to the Saints, until Raymond fumbled on a shot to the head. They know to clinch the AFC’s final playoff berth, they'll need either of the following scenarios to play out. Beat the Texans, OR, Steelers and Colts both have to lose.

Winners of the AFC South Houston is currently the #4 seed. Coach O'Brien said this week that his team will play to win vs. Tennessee because there's still a shot at the #3 seed. (With help).

Tennessee sat Henry last week knowing that this was the game they needed to go all-in on for, so he'll be back and rested this week. The Titans will be 100% throughout, I can't say the same for Houston. Can you?

The way I see this playing out is the Chiefs will blow out the Chargers and there will not be anything left to play for - for Houston. I'm expecting Watson, Hopkins and several defensive players to sit this one out (for the whole game, but at least for a half. Advantage Tennessee.

Some trends to consider. Tennessee are 6-3 ATS in their last 9 games, are 6-3 SU in their last 9 games, and are 7-3 SU in their last 10 games played in December.

Play on the Titans -6.

Good Luck, Razor Ray.

Bears vs. Vikings

1* on Chicago Bears -3

The Key: The Minnesota Vikings are locked into the No. 6 seed in the NFC and have nothing to play for. They will be resting starters in Week 17 and will be gifting the Chicago Bears a ‘layup’ win. The Bears should be much bigger favorites than they are given that the Vikings don’t care at all about this game. Cousins, Cook, Thielen and many more Vikings are expected to sit. Bets on road favorites who are off 2 or more consecutive losses winning between 40% and 49% of their games on the season are 35-13 ATS since 1983. Take Chicago.

Event: (200113) Wolverhampton at (200114) LIVERPOOL
Sport/League: SOC
Date/Time: December 29, 2019 11AM EST
Play: Wolverhampton +1025

We were hoping Man City might win big on Friday night and help to drive up this line even higher for Sunday but Wolves continue to play the role of giant killers extremely well as they handed City their their second successive loss to the men from the Midlands of this Premier League campaign.

Wolves continue to fly under the radar in this regard as we had them last time out against City back in October at a colossal +2100 as they beat City outright 2-0 at the Etihad. However, the reason why Wolves don't attract a lot of public action in this regard is their tendency to play both up and down to their level of opposition, beating Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea last season (along with Liverpool), but losing to bottom feeders Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town twice in what can be a real head scratcher of a team to fathom sometimes.

Liverpool look absolutely dominant right now under Klopp, coming off a 4-0 win on Thursday night against 2nd placed Leicester on the road and arguably can class themselves as the best team in Europe right now, but if there's one team who can potentially pull off the outright upset in Anfield on Sunday it's this Wolves team. The hi-frequency games of the festive period may play a role in this one as Wolves don't have anywhere near the depth of squad that Liverpool do but at odds of +1025 we're getting well compensated for the risk here.

Take Wolves to potentially pull off the shocker of the season on Sunday and hand the European champions just their first loss of the 2019/2020 campaign.

After losing 35-22 at home back on November 24th, it is payback time for the Atlanta Falcons as they take on the offensively-depleted Tampa Bay Buccaneers who saw a 4 game winning streak halted last weekend when they put up just 20 points in a loss to the Houston Texans.

At the time of that November 24th loss, Atlanta had harbored hopes of making a late season playoff push as they were off back-to-back division road wins over New Orelans and Carolina, but Jameis Winston had his full receiving corps on the field that day - something he does not have today with Evans out and Godwin questionable - and Famous Jameis was able to have a field day on the Falcons defense.

The Falcons come into this game with wins and covers in each of their last 3 and in 5 of their last 7 overall. Matt Ryan is in complete sync right now with star wide receiver Julio Jones and Davonta Freeman is also coming off a solid game carrying the football. The team is playing like they should have played earlier this season as this late season surge was enough to convince owner Arthur Blank to keep head coach Dan Quinn around for another season - at least to start next season!

Prior to losing in the first season series meeting, Atlanta had won 5 in a row straight up versus Tampa Bay.

The Bucs have yet to cover a home game this season and with QB Jameis Winston having now thrown 28 interceptions on the season, this game sets up as a 4th straight Falcons win and cover to close the season out as the team gets up for their head coach Dan Quinn and takes care of business on the road.

Take the visiting Falcons this afternoon in the regular season finale.

CHRIS JORDAN

I'm headed to the NFC East for Sunday's free play, as I like the New York Giants to cover and possibly win outright against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It amazes me how people haven't figured out how things work when a line looks to good to be true. Doesn't it seem too obvious the Eagles are laying a rather low -4 points to the four-win Giants? I mean, Philadelphia just destroyed the Dallas Cowboys, it's in the driver's seat to clinch the East and it's playing a team that has a scoring differential of -93 points.

The oddsmakers have been known to overinflate Week 17, must-win teams - like the Eagles - only there's nothing bloviating this point spread. And it's because Philadelphia is not that good. It's really not that much better than the Giants, is what the books are telling you.

If the Giants get a field goal for the homefield factor, that makes Philly -1 on a neutral field, or -2 at home, where the Eagles escaped with a 23-17 win over New York on Dec. 9.

And let's be real, it's a real shame we're in Week 17 because the Giants have seemingly improved and are catching their stride a little too late. The last two weeks the Giants have gained 412 and 552 yards, albeit against the Dolphins and Redskins, but they were confidence-building wins heading into the season-finale at home.

And remember, these same Eagles just lost in Miami on Dec. 1 - part of a three-game losing streak after their bye week.

Take the dog here, as this number is suspect to me.

Prior to this season's first meeting between the teams, the Under was on a 6-2 run dating back to the 2015 season.

This year back on Week Five in Baltimore the teams played to a 26-23 overtime final in a game that did slip Over the total, but there is no way in the world the Over cashes in today at Heinz Field.

First of all, the weather is expected to be a bit soggy and wet which I think will give the defenses on the field a little bit of an added advantage.

Secondly, Baltimore has clinched the top seed in the AFC, so there will be no Lamar Jackson or Mark Ingram in the lineup for John Harbaugh's team, and I don't find it very likely that Robert Griffin will be scoring too many points against this Pittsburgh Steelers defense.

Baltimore comes into the Steel City having played Under the total in 4 of their last 6 games and their defense has held opponents to 21 points or less in 12 of their 15 games this season. In fact they have held foes to 17 points or less in 10 of their 15 games, including 6 of their last 7 played.

Pittsburgh's defense has been just as stingy, as they held opponents to 17 points or less in each of their last 5 games. They have also held the opposition to 21 points or less in 10 of their last 12 games. The Under has cashed in each of the Steelers last 7 games and in 10 of their last 12 games overall.

With Duck Hodges and the offense scoring just 20 points combined in the last 2 games played, it is not likely this scuffling offense is going to generate too many points. The Steelers have been held to 20 points or less in 6 of their last 7 games.

This one has 14-10 final - if that - written all over it.

Go Low in Baltimore-Pittsburgh on the last Sunday of the regular season.

Bengals+3

Take the Cincinnati Bengals plus the points versus the Cleveland Browns. Cincinnati (1-14) can play to win without spoiling their number one pick in the NFL draft next April after they secured the worst record in the league last week with their 38-35 upset loss in overtime at Miami. The Bengals have covered the point spread in 5 of their last 7 games after scoring at least 30 points in their last game. They also have covered the point spread in 23 of their last 34 games in December. Cleveland (6-9) has lost three of their last four games with their 31-15 loss to Baltimore last week. The Browns have then failed to cover the point spread in 8 of their last 11 games after a double-digit loss at home. Cleveland is also 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 road games as a favorite. Take Cincinnati plus the points. Best of luck — Frank.
