A nice matchup in the Association on Wednesday pits the Philadelphia 76ers 20-8 (12-15-1 ATS) vs. the Miami Heat (19-8, 16-9-2 ATS) from the Wells Fargo Center in Phili. Miami comes into this game leading the Southeast Division so they will have the 76ers full attention.
There's a revenge narrative here this evening with former 76er Jimmy Butler returning. He's averaging 21.2 points, 6.8 assists and 6.4 rebounds in 23 games for his new team, and I believe we're catching Phili at a good time as they come in off a 109-89 loss at Brooklyn on Sunday.
Embiid is probable to play, and for Miami Dragic is questionable, and Winslow is OUT. I'm looking for Butler and the Heat to keep this one close and feel we're getting good value as a 7--point dog. The Sixers have failed to cover in 4/7 at home and I believe the Heat will be tough to beat on Wednesday night.
Some trends to consider. Miami are 13-5 SU in their last 18 games, and are 13-2 SU in their last 15 games against an opponent in the Eastern conference. Philadelphia are 4-8 ATS in their last 12 games, and are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games against an opponent in the Southeast division.
