For Wednesday, take the Orlando Magic as the small home underdog against the Phoenix Suns.
True, Orlando just played last night at Washington, but the Magic were able to take care of that road game, as they defeated the Wizards by a 127-120 score and come back home with wins in their last pair and 3 of their last 4.
Phoenix is most definitely improved and they do have the benefit of not having played last night, but this is still their second in a row on the road and they are currently on a 2-6 straight up slide their past 8 games.
The teams did split their pair of season series meetings last year, the road team claiming the win in both, but that road win by the Suns was only by a basket and it took until overtime to decide.
Orlando may be playing in a back-to-back spot tonight, but they are at home and they have also won 4 of the last 5 games played versus the Suns.
The Suns are improved, but not improved enough to be listed as the small road favorite tonight.

Wednesday night comp play is the Indiana Pacers over the OKC Thunder.
The Pacers have acquitted themselves quite well while they await the return of star guard Victor Oladipo, as Nate McMillan's team heads into this road game having won 6 of their last 7 games. Their most recent win came by double-digits at Memphis, 117-104 on Monday night.
The Thunder just put the wraps on a home-and-home sweep of the Pelicans, with Sunday being Oklahoma City's last time on court.
Indiana has been the outright winner in 2 of the last 3 season series meetings, and they do hold an overall 6-4 straight up mark for the last 10 contested against the Thunder.
Malcom Brogdan has done a fine job at guard in the absence of Oladipo, while small forward Domantas Sabonis has been a double-double machine with 14 of them in the team's first 17 games.
To their credit, the Thunder is a bit better than I thought they would be without Russell Westbrook, but I feel the Pacers are the better team tonight, and I will back them to notch another road win.
