Diamondbacks vs. Rockies
Play: Diamondbacks +108

The Arizona Diamondbacks are looking to sweep the Rockies today in Denver and we believe they will do just that. The Diamondbacks look to win their 10th game in a row and extend their comfortable NL wild-card lead. The starting pitchers for today’s game will be for the Diamondbacks RH Zack Godley (6-7, 3.29 ERA) and he will face the Rockies RH German Marquez (10-5, 4.18 ERA). The last time Godley stepped on this field he was a 10-3 winner and we believe he will have another quality start today. As for Marquez, we believe regression is starting to settle in for the 22-year-old right-hander. His ERA has gone up almost a full run from July to August and the youngster has now thrown 131 innings compared to only 20 as a September call up last year. We are going to jump on the Arizona train as they sweep the Rockies.

VIRGINIA TECH (-5) over West Virginia

With Bud Foster still entrenched as the Virginia Tech defensive coordinator and seven starters coming back on that side of the ball, the Hokies defense is going to be one of the best in the country this year. Va. Tech will have no problem limiting a West Virginia offense that returns just five starters and is very inexperienced along the offensive line. We also can not ignore the fact that the Mountaineers are a dismal 6-19 ATS in their last 25 games on a neutral field.

Cardinals -115

The Giants don’t score many runs so it’s always good for them when a star pitcher like Bumgarner is on the mound. Bumgarner missed his last start with the flu and it’s not easy to get over that in a week when you lose so much fluid. I don’t expect to see a rock solid Bumgarner today. Luke Weaver has looked really sharp for St. Louis. Look for the hot hitting of the Cardinals to continue and the cold bats for the Giants to stay cold.

Diamondbacks vs. Rockies
Play: Diamondbacks +121

The Arizona Diamondbacks are looking to sweep the Rockies here and I like them behind Zack Godley.

The Diamondbacks look to win their 10th game in a row as they have been RED HOT.

As for the Rockies starter Marquez, we believe regression is starting to settle in for the 22-year-old right-hander. His ERA has gone up almost a full run from July to August and the youngster has now thrown 131 innings compared to only 20 as a September call up last year and he looks like he has a tired arm. We are going to jump on the Arizona DBacks and ride the hot run as they sweep the Rockies here on Sunday afternoon.

West Virginia vs. Virginia Tech
Play: Virginia Tech -4½

The West Virginia are an awful 1-4 ATS in their last five non-conference games and they are 0-4 ATS in their last four neutral sit contests. They closed out 2016 season going just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games and they are just 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games versus a team from the ACC. VA Tech is 9-3 in the last twelve head to head meetings between the two teams.

Dodgers / Padres Over 8

San Diego's Jholys Chacin has played "below" the total in each of his most recent 3 starts even though dealing with control issues. In fact dating back to early last month (August 7) Chacin has lasted 5-or-LESS innings in every mound assignment. We have market-value in today's total due to Los Angeles going with the same Alex Wood who has a Sub-Two earned run average but he will be on a PITCH COUNT after spending the past two weeks on the disabled list. Wood also created controversy against San Diego back in June when he felt the Padres were stealing signs. When facing National League offenses with a poor on-base percentage (.355 or worse), Alex Wood has gone a staggering 8-1 OVER the total
