For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the home side:
Bryan Bullington gets the call for the visitors; Bullington got rocked his last time out; he allowed six runs on 11 hits and walked two.
Remember, the Royals are just 1-6 their last seven on the road; also a brutal 20-32 (-7.4 units) after a victory.
In the other dugout: Josh Tomlin heads to the hill for the home side; Tomlin has also been struggling of late and is coming off a loss, but keep in mind that he’s much better in front of the home town crowd with a 2.25 ERA.
Bottom line: Bullington went 0-2 with a 4.91 ERA in three games in 2008 vs. the Indians; home field advantage can’t be overlooked in this case;

Chicago White Sox +120
The always overvalued Yankees are back on the road tonight, this time for the start of a weekend series at US Cellular Field against the White Sox. We successfully went against New York on Wednesday in a 6-3 loss to the Blue Jays and like Toronto, we think Chicago is a quality underdog play at home vs. a right-handed starter. There's talk that the Pale Hose will bring in slugger Manny Ramirez, but maybe they don't need him. Heading into a Baltimore series where they took two of three games, the offense was averaging 5.6 runs per game over a ten day span. We certainly don't like what we see from the Yanks' AJ Burnett, who has not won a decision in four outings and owns a poor 3-13 team start record when working on five or six days rest on the road. Don't downplay the fact that New York always has the Wild Card to fall back on while the White Sox MUST win the AL Central in order to get in the postseason, so there is little margin for error.

Houston -3
Easy Pick here. REMEMBER this is Dallas 4th preseason game, not their 3rd. And to be honest Dallas has not looked all that good, but the starters will see see 1 quarter here, and Houston will show their full compliment well into the third quarter. Dallas played in the hall of fame game. Houston is playing their first home game, they are without a win the preseason to date, and will be playing more talent for a longer period of time. Does it get any easier than that for a small number of 3? I do not think so, Houston wants to win and beat big brother anytime they play, I like their chances here. Play 1 Unit on Houston.
BONUS PLAYS. Play a half unit on Jacksonville -2.5, play a half unit on Detroit -2.5. Tease Houston to +3 and Jax to +3.5 and play a half unit 2 team 6 pointer.

San Diego Chargers +3
Note: When the San Diego Chargers travel to New Orleans to take on the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints they will do so knowing that defending Super Bowl champions are just 3-17-1 ATS in preseason games when playing off a SU and ATS win since 1990, including 0-11 ATS when favored and off one win-exact. In addition, preseason road dogs off one loss-exact as a favorite that are facing an opponent off a SU and ATS win are 13-0-1 ATS if the road dog covered the spread by more than seven points in the game prior to its upset loss, provided the loss was by 14 or less points. With New Orleans a putrid 5-16 SU and 4-17 ATS in its last 21 games as a preseason home favorite, we'll grab the points in this upset special tonight. We recommend a 2-unit play on San Diego.
