BYU/Utah State Over 63.5

BYU is coming off a win last week against Colorado State however they were out played and really lost the game because of CSU turnovers. This BYU defense has not looked good the past two weeks at home and will be taking on a Utah State team that is not the laughing stock of College Football anymore. The Aggies have improved on offense and should make this a competitive game tonight. BYU QB Max Hall has never lost to Utah State and it is crucial for BYU to crush this team tonight. Whatever happens expect a lot of points. Take the Over.

For a number of different reasons I feel the value in this game is on the home side: Pittsburgh faltered down the stretch last week and I look for Louisville to draw inspiration from that result for its ever improving offense. The Cardinals probably should have beaten Kentucky, and did a nice job of hanging around most of the way against a tough Utah team before succumbing to a 30-14 road defeat last week. Louisville knows it needs to take advantage of this situation and to cut down on turn-overs and stupid penalties; they also need to get some TD's in the redzone instead of settling for FG's. When assessing his teams position at the moment, WR Scott Long said: “This team is right there on the brink; we just have to work a little harder and learn how to respond in those times of adversity.” On the other side of the field: Pitt lost, 38-31, to N.C. State last week and now faces a short week on the road at a site where it has not won since 1983. Last week the Panthers blew a pair of 14-point leads and had a dismal second half; defensively, the game was a disaster as the Panthers gave up more than 500 total yards for the second time in three weeks. Pitt is ranked seventh in the eight-team Big East in total defense, allowing 351.8 yards a game. The Panthers’ pass defense is 87th in the NCAA, giving up 239.2 yards. Over the last three seasons Pittsburgh has struggled in this spot as its a sub-par 5-9 ATS when playing the roll of favorite. LOUISVILLE is tough at home with a 19-6 SU mark its last 25 and I look for it to move to 2-1 ATS this year as a dog and 3-1 ATS over the last two seasons as a home dog of 3 1/2 to 7 points and for Pittsburgh to fall to 1-2 ATS on the road this year!

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
LA Angels are 94-65 overall this year while Oakland comes in with a 75-84 record on the season. LA Angels are 12-2 this year when the total is 8 to 8 1/2. LA Angels have won 4 of their last 5 overall while Oakland has lost 4 in a row. Jered Weaver is 15-8 with a 3.85 ERA overall this season. Gio Gonzalez is 2-4 with a whopping 6.85 ERA at home this year. LA Angels are 5-1 at Oakland this year. Weaver has a 2.93 ERA overall vs Oakland since 1997. Angels are 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Oakland. Angels are 22-7 in their last 29 games vs. a left-handed starter. Angels are 40-18 in their last 58 games as a road favorite of -110 to -150. We'll play the LA Angels for 3 units tonight!

Utah State vs. BYU

Utah State is a much better team this season than in previous years, evident by their point spread covers at Utah and at Texas A&M. Meanwhile, BYU seems to be getting too much respect based on their season opening win over Oklahoma. However, this team still has questions all over the field. That was apparent in their blowout home loss to Florida State. The Cougars are coming off of a close point spread cover against Colorado State last week, but that result is deceiving. The Rams played the Cougars very tough after a 1st quarter that had BYU get a few scores off broken plays. BYU got all of the bounces go their way in that game, yet Colorado State still should have covered in that game. BYU has no reason to get up for this contest, while this game will arguably be the biggest of the season for Utah State. The Aggies are not being properly priced here, and I expect for this game to be much closer than expected.
