2* Titans / Cards Over
Should be a relatively high-scoring affair from the Music City as the Titans have now played to the OVER seven times in a row in the pre-season. In fact, Tennessee has now gone OVER the Total in 11 of their last 14 pre-season games over the past four years, including 4-1 to the HIGH last five at home. The Cards are coming off 19-16 OVER (33) win vs Houston in the desert last week and both Whisenhunt and Fisher are expected to give their starters extended playing time. Solid QB rotations for both team should result in a number of scoring opportunities. Take the OVER!

Toronto -103
The Blue Jays and Yankees meet in the first of a three-game series north of the border when Brandon Morrow takes the hill in Toronto this evening. Aside from owning a 1.24 ERA in his two career home starts against the Pinstripes, Morrow is 16-3 in his 19 career home team starts for Toronto, including 5-0 the last five. With that we'll stay at home with Morrow and the Blue Jays here tonight. We recommend a 3-unit play on Toronto.

Matchup: Arizona at Tennessee
Time: 8:00 PM EDT (Mon)
Play: Tennessee (-3.5 -110)
I'll normally play on a team that got an awful effort from its first team the prior week, as it's usually important to those teams to try and get things going in the right direction. But the Cardinals were beyond terrible last week and I have yet to see anything to convince me that Matt Leinart is going to be able to fill even one of the shoes left behind by retired Kurt Warner. The Titans look to be way ahead of the Cardinals at this point, and while this is a fairly big number for the pre-season, I'm compelled to lay it and back the Titans to garner the win and cover.

Matchup: Chi. Cubs at Washington
Time: 7:05 PM EDT (Mon)
Listed pitchers must go: (R) COLEMAN, C vs. (R) HERNANDEZ, L
Play: Washington (-1.5 +128)
Lou Piniella's immediate retirement means the Cubs have a new manager in place tonight. But I don't see this as a true new skipper angle spot, as it's strictly an interim gig. In fact, the already lifeless Cubs could mail it in on an even more frequent basis the rest of the way. This is a poor road team to begin with, and I have not been at all impressed with rookie Casey Coleman. The Nationals continue to be a solid home team and Livan Hernandez has very quietly put together a real nice season for Washington. To the best of my recollection, this will be the first time I've ever laid runs with the Nationals. But this certainly looks like the right spot to give it a try, so I'll go for the price and opt for Washington minus the runs.
