Arizona Cardinals +4

The Titans were not a very good team against the pass last season. In fact, they were ranked 31st in the league so it is as bad as it gets. They now have a young defense with no real superstar and I like the Cardinals QB rotation, with Leinart going for a half and Anderson finishing the game. The Titans will play guys with no experience in the second half at QB. Look for Arizona to score points in the air and easily cover the spread. Take the Cardinals.

Toronto Blue Jays -119

Ivan Nova will make his first start for the Yankees tonight. Brandon Morrow has pitched well in his past few starts and is great at home. Toronto is coming off a bad road trip and will need to start their home series off on the right foot. Take the Blue Jays with the better pitching advantage.

SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS

4.5-STAR TORONTO over NY Yankees

Today's line is way off and proofs the Yankee aura when it comes to lines. You are getting a proven solid starter at home at even money against a kid making his first major league start. That's crazy so take advantage here tonight.

The fact that Brandon Morrow is starting at home is quite meaningful here as he's been great their this season. The Blue Jays are 6-0 since April 19, 2010 when Brandon Morrow starts as a home favorite for a net profit of $600. Toronto is also strong in this home favorite situation as the Blue Jays are 7-1 since April 19, 2010 as a home favorite and it is the first game of the series for a net profit of $570.

Morrow lost his last start, being limited to four innings and 80 pitches after working 137 pitches in a one-hit shutout the outing prior. The Blue Jays are 6-0 since April 19, 2010 when Brandon Morrow starts at home after his team lost the last time he started for a net profit of $645

Toronto enters this one as losers of two straight, and did not lead in either of those games. The Blue Jays are 4-0 since April 19, 2010 when they are off two losses in which they never led and it is the first game of a series for a net profit of $535.

New York on the other hand is coming off a big, 10-0 win to win the series against Seattle yesterday. The Yankees are 0-4 since July 30, 2010 after a 5+ run win for a net profit of $545 when playing against.

Led by C.C. Sabathia, New York pitching was strong allowing six hits and just a single walk. The Yankees are 0-6 since April 25, 2010 on the road after a win in which they allowed 1 or fewer walks for a net profit of $750 when playing against.

SPORTSBOOK BREAKERS PREDICTION: TORONTO 6, NY Yankees 3

Lenny Del Genio

Philadelphia -150

Most baseball experts expect the two-time defending NL Champion Phillies to overtake the East-leading Atlanta Braves at some point before October and as far as we're concerned now is as good as time as any. Philly enters the new week trailing Atlanta by 2.5 games as they open up a four-game set at home against lowly Houston, whom the swept in the teams only prior series this season. The Braves meanwhile must go to always tough Coors Field to play the Colorado Rockies. The Phills have dominated righties here at Citizens Bank Park this season, winning 31 of 43 games, and overall the club is averaging better than five full runs per game on their home field. So, look for the brief renaissance that Astros starter Brett Myers (a fomer Phillie) has been experiencing recently to come to an end. Meyers is just 2-7 this season on the road anyway and the bullpen has its own issues away from Minute Maid, with a 5.65 ERA. Offense has been an issue all season for Houston as the club averages a scant 3.8 runs per game and that number dips to 3.6 when facing righties. Philly starter Joe Blanton has been steady, if not unspectacular in his last seven starts, allowing three runs or less five times. Against a weak Houston offense, those numbers should only get better. Blanton's home TSR is a sterling 13-2 last 15 outings. The Astros have lost 39 of their last 56 when priced as a road dog of +150 or less. Looks pretty easy here. Philadelphia is our MLB Oddsmaker Mismatch.
