The Hornets have been a strictly go-against team for us all month starting when we called for them to lose outright to the Knicks on 12.3 and they did just that. After starting the year a sizzling 8-0 SU/ATS, the buzz has left this team as they've gone 3-8 SU/ATS their last 11. Problems with ownership are also serving as a distraction, not to mention the neverending "will he stay, will he go" debate with PG Chris Paul. However, there is hope. During the current losing skid, New Orleans has lost back to back games four times. They have responded with a SU/ATS win each time the next time out. Miami is sizzling right now with seven straight wins and covers (eight-game win streak overall), several of which we have been on. However, this line is a reach. The Heat return home for the first time following a four-game road trip and had only one day off. This is an opponent that they have struggled mightily against through the years, going a stunning 13-36 ATS, including 0-5 ATS L5. Miami is just 5-8 ATS at home this year, obviously favored in all those games. This line is just ridiculous. New Orleans is our NBA Underdog of the Week.

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the home side:
The Blue Jackets are 16-11-0-1 this year including 8-4 on the road; on the 11th they beat the Rangers at home 3-1.
Columbus is just 2-3 (-0.3 units) this year when revenging a home loss vs. an opponent.
On the other side of the rink: The Flames are 12-15-1-2 to start including 7-6 at the Saddledome; on the 10th they lost 3-2 in a shootout in Anaheim.
Calgary is already 2-1 (+1.2 units) when playing with 2-days of rest this year.
Bottom line: Significant to note as well that Columbus has a history of playing poorly in Calgary; just 1-4 its last 5 vs. the Flames in their own barn.
Miikka Kiprusoff is 9-0-2 with a 1.70 GAA in 11 lifetime home starts against the Blue Jackets.
