Rockets at Warriors
Pick: Warriors +1.5
The Warriors have covered two straight games as they look to knock off the Rockets at Oracle Arena. Houston rallied past Sacramento last night for their fourth win in five tries, but this is not a good spot to back the Rockets. Rick Adelman's team is a dreadful 1-11 SU/ATS since the start of last season with no rest on the road off a win. Golden State is 4-1 SU/ATS against teams on the second of a back-to-back, while Houston is just 2-5 SU with no rest. I'll take the Warriors here to beat the Rockets

Chicago -7 MINNESOTA
Chicago was blown away at home by NE, 36-7. They were out rushed 3.5ypr to 3.4ypr, allowing 124 yards rushing and out passed 8.2yps to 4.9yps. Overall, the Bears were out gained 6.1yppl to 4.4yppl. The Bears also turned the ball over four times to zero for NE. Minnesota was blown out by the Giants, 21-3. They were out rushed 7.6ypr to 2.8ypr allowing the Giants to rush for 213 yards. They were out passed 4.8yps to 2.6yps and out gained overall, 6.0yppl to 2.7yppl.
Chicago averages 3.8ypr against 4.3ypr, 5.9yps against 6.2yps and 5.0yppl against 5.4yppl. They allow 3.7ypr against 4.2ypr, 5.8yps against 6.2yps and 5.0yppl against 5.4yppl. Minnesota averages 4.4ypr against 4.3ypr, 6.0yps against 6.1yps and 5.3yppl against 5.3yppl. They allow 3.9ypr against 4.2ypr, 6.1yps against 6.3yps and 5.1yppl against 5.4yppl.
I don’t have any situations on this game. Numbers favor Minnesota by 1.5 points with Favre playing, which is doubtful. I would make Chicago about a 5.5 point favorite without Favre. Another prime time game ruined by a star quarterback being out. I don’t expect the Bears offense to do a lot of damage against Minnesota if the Vikings give a full effort but it will be tough for the Minnesota offense to move the ball against the Bears defense. Low scoring game is my best guess in this game. CHICAGO 17 MINNESOTA 13

Chicago (-7) for 2 Units
Because of the inclement weather, field conditions should slow the bodies down to make this a physical battle with two pretty good physical defenses. Minnesota's offense may be in a state of flux with QB questions, RB Peterson's ankle, and key injuries along the offensive line however, defensively they remain solid. The Bears will have to bang Matt Forte and Chester Taylor between tackles to help Cutler settle in. We believe they can create a wearing down effect on the Vikings' defense over the course of this game. The Vikings' offense could very well go with Favre (upgraded to questionable) who, of course has cold weather playing experience. However, the Bears' aggressive front line, including Peppers, won't make it easy on Favre, who hasn't practiced all week. The Bears can clinch the NFC North with a win and should come out firing after getting embarrassed last week. Chicago is 8-1 ATS as an above .500 team vs a division opponent off a double-digit SU loss. The Vikings have not played the dog role well at 0-7 ATS and they're just 2-5 ATS following a SU loss of more than 14 points. Bears the call.
