Auburn vs Oregon
Pick: Auburn -1.5
Since Cameron Newton has proven he is the nation's premier player, will lay less than a FG with an Auburn squad that played a much tougher schedule than Oregon, which feasted in the mediocre Pac 10. Newton is surrounded by a more dangerous supporting cast than Duck QB Thomas, who heavily relys on speedy RB James. And while Oregon has been able to speed up the tempo and wear down most foes, that won't be the case vs. a tough, deep Tiger D that can hold up without showing fatigue. Any team that can overcome a 24-0 deficit to Nick Saban and a superb Bama squad gets my vote. Remember, the Oregon D couldn't deal with Ohio State's dual threat QB Pryor LY and they won't have much success this campaign.

St Louis -137
These teams have met twice this season. In each case, the home team was the winner. The Coyotes earned a 5-3 win at Phoenix in November. Recently, on New Year's Eve, the Blues returned the favor, earning a 4-3 win at St. Louis. With tonight's game being played at St. Louis, where the home team is 14-6-2 on the season, I expect the Blues to have the edge.
With tonight's O/U line set at five, note that the Coyotes are 7-16 (-6.3) the past few seasons, when playing a road game with an O/U line of five. That includes a 1-5 (-4.1) mark their last six. During that time, the Blues were 7-4 (+2) when playing a home game with a total of five.
Including the victory on New Year's Eve, the Blues are now 4-1 the last five times that they hosted the Coyotes. They haven't lost three in a row here all season and they should play with some "desperation" here. With the home fans behind them, I expect them to come away with the two points.

Marquette -3
Marquette at 8:00 ET. Notre Dame probably has the strongest home/road dichotomy going in the Big East. A big reason for their 14-2 start is that nearly every game has been played in South Bend. In fact, they've played just one true road game all year and lost by double digits at Syracuse. They are off a 76-61 win over St. John's in a game that went Over the total. We note this because the Irish are 1-10 ATS on the road coming off an Over. They lost their first six conference road games a year ago before making a miracle late run that got them into the NCAA Tournament. That run included a pair of road wins, one of them ironically coming on this floor as they beat Marquette 63-60 in OT. Keep in mind that ND has lost two key components from LY's team - Luke Harangody and Tory Jackson. This year's leading scorer Ben Hansbrough was just 1 of 6 from the floor in LY's win over Marquette. The team could also be without Carleton Scott, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring tear. Marquette will be motivated not only by last year's loss, but also the need for a win over a Top 25 opponent (0-5 so far this season). The Golden Eagles average better than 80 PPG this season, worth noting because ND's scoring average dips significantly (by 15 PPG) away from South Bend. They are off a SU loss at Pitt (no shame there), where they did cover as eight-point pups. That improved them to 17-7 ATS L24 Big East games. In their only previous Big East home game TY, they beat WVU in a similar price range. Marquette is our ESPN Big Monday WINNER.
