Evan Altemus

4 Units Detroit +7

3 Units Pacific -4.5

Pacific is a very experienced and under-rated small conference team this season. They are coming off of an impressive win, winning outright at UTEP, a tough place to play. The Miners arena was sold out and the crowd was fired up, but the Tigers were able to control the game throughout the 2nd half and get an outstanding road win. Quotes from Pacific's players and head coach show that they are very focused on this tournament at UCLA. The Tigers would love to play UCLA and want to advance as far as they can. Meanwhile, Nevada is an inexperienced team but is coming off of a blowout win against Montana. However, the Wolf Pack have a very significant home court advantage. They don't have star forward Luke Babbitt this year either, as he is playing in the NBA now. This tournament is much more important to Pacific and is closer to their campus. They also defeated Nevada is a non-conference game last season as well. Look for Pacific to get the win and point spread cover.
