2* Clemson / Seton Hall Over 131
These two are playing their 3rd game in 4 days down in the Virgin Islands and both played tough defensive teams yesterday and lost close games. Now they get to bounce back against a team that isn't afraid to run.
Clemson lost 61-60 to ODU and they were led by point guard Demontez Stitt, who was able to put up 27 points. Seton Hall lost 57-52 to Xavier. Let's look at games before that:
Clemson
beat LB State 69-55
beat Wofford 78-70
beat W Car 87-64
Seton Hall
beat AL 83-78
beat Cornell 92-68
The Tigers get points from Stitt, Smith, Grant, Young, Booker and Jennings, whille the Pirates rely on Hazell, Pope, Theodore and Robinson.
Seton Hall averages 71-66 (138) and the Tigers 73.5-62.5 (136). Both average over 70 per game and we have a chance for late 3's and free throws in a game where Clemson is favored by 3. Thankfully, Clemson is usually a bad free throw shooting team but have some decent guys from the line. I think we see a game in the 70-66 range for 136 points.

We can understand the markets flocking to Oklahoma this morning, based on a line that looks high based on historical precedents. But we believe they are wrong.
The Sooners are a mess. Just one season removed from believing the start of something special was underway, with talents like Willie Warren, Tiny Gallon, Tommy Mason-Griffin, and Tony Crocker, they are starting all over again, and it is not like the parade of early departures from the previous group left a base to work from. It was a disaster of a season in which the collective egos prevented any kind of team development, and a program accustomed to post-season play suffered through a 13-18 campaign and a first-round exit in the Big 12 tourney. As bad as that was, it only gets worse here. There are eight new faces on the roster (it would have been nine, but 6-11 Abdul Ahmed has already left the team), and not all bring the kind of talent we are accustomed to seeing in Oklahoma uniforms, with Jeff Capel forced to reach a bit to fill things out, including bringing in a couple of JuCo’s. It means a lack of talent, chemistry and depth, and the fact that they had to go to O.T. at home to escape past lowly North Carolina Central last week, with the starters playing 196 of the 225 floor minutes, pretty much defines where they are at. And it took a late triple by Steven Pledger to get that one to the extra period. There is not much ability to play well well here, and there is also a lack of urgency, which is what happens when you have precious little veteran leadership to build around.
Against another opponent we might think that Kentucky is too young to trust, but not in this matchup. First note that despite having all of those FR on the court, the Wildcats got a chance to develop ahead of schedule, having an exemption for a pre-season trip to Canada in which they not only played three games, but John Calipari also squeezed 17 practices into the allotted 10 days. And it was a poised and savvy team that whipped Portland 79-48 in a hostile environment Friday night, an excellent tune-up for this event, committing only 11 TO’s, allowing just 30.5 percent shooting, and winning the boards 37-26. They bring a better player at every starting position, along with more size, athleticism and depth, and we will call for them to win going away against the Sooners, who are not here to compete for the scoreboard results, but to just slowly find ways to put their limited pieces together.
