The Chicago Blackhawks are the reigning NHL Stanley Cup victories, but they are out of the gate slow and still looking for their first win on the young season. This team does not resemble the one that won it all a year ago as salary cap issues have led to a roster overhaul. This team, while not being as good, is also going to need to build some team chemistry. The value against their perception off of last year and the reality early on, provides line value against them. It is early, but the Sabres own a huge 38-13 mark playing at home vs. a road team victorious less than 40% of their games. I'll back the reality of the Blackhawks over the perception, and go with Buffalo in this one.

400-Unit NFL Monday Mismatch - Minnesota
Things changed for the Minnesota offense last Tuesday when they landed WR Randy Moss from the Patriots. Now this team has its deep threat, has its tight end, has the dominant RB and has the QB that can create a winning team with all those parts. I’ll grab the points with them in New York tonight.
Randy Moss and Brett Favre together on a Monday night primetime game and these guys will come out to play when the lights come on. Moss is eager to show everyone he’s still the big-time deep threat and Favre can now heave it downfield with confidence anytime he gets in trouble. Mix in a lot of Adrian Peterson out of the backfield and TE Vishanti Shancoe over the middle and suddenly this offense looks explosive again.
I know the Jets’ offense has been clicking the last two weeks and I know QB Mark Sanchez hasn’t thrown a pick this season, but we all know about the tough defensive line of the Vikings and the fact that Jared Allen is going to be locked in on getting to Sanchez and wreaking havoc in that backfield. The Vikings are also stingy against the run, so don’t expect LaDainian Tomlinson to have anywhere near the 100-yard day he had in Buffalo last week. Last time he faced this Minnesota defense was 2007 when he had 40 yards on 16 carries.
Minnesota comes into this one on ATS surges of 4-1 against winning teams, 5-0 in Week 5 the last five years and 7-3-1 when they play on this fieldturf. On the other side, the Jets are just 1-5 ATS on Monday nights, 1-5 ATS in the last six years of Week 5 games and 1-4 ATS at home against teams with losing road records.
In their first Monday night game this season, the Jets opened with a 10-9 home loss to the Ravens. Tonight’s game won’t be that low scoring, but Minnesota might just come in here and win this one outright. But let’s play it smart and grab the points in case a late FG steals a win for New York.
Grab the points with the Vikings tonight.
