Lenny Del Genio

Houston -135

After being shutout in BB games, the Brew Crew avoided a weekend sweep at the hands of the Cubs with a 2-0 victory on Sunday. Still though it's been tough sledding for Milwaukee in the month of September as they've dropped eight of their previous 12 games. Things should get no easier tonight against Houston's Brett Myers, whose career has been revitalized since coming over from Philly. Myers has won three straight decisions and over his last six outings has posted a superb 1.76 ERA. Even more impressive is the fact that he's gone at least six innings in every start this year, proving himself to be a workhorse. Actually, his mark of 29 straight starts with 6+ IP is the highest in the major leagues since a 35 start stretch by Curt Schilling for Arizona in 2002. Myers has not pitched well vs. Milwaukee this season, but all those starts came at Miller Park. In three home starts against them, all with Philly, he's thrown two complete game shutouts. This year in his new home, Myers has a 10-2 team start record. Milwaukee counters with southpaw Chris Narveson, who has won three straight decisions, but has a 5.70 ERA for the year. Houston has made a ton of money vs. lefty starters this year, going 24-14. In their only trip to Minute Maid Park this year, the Brew Crew were swept, including a loss by Narveson, one of two times Milwaukee was shutout in that series. Houston is our MLB Oddsmaker Mismatch.
