Indianapolis Colts vs. Miami Dolphins
Play: Dolphins

The Colts are 1-0 & now are in reload mode since key players are either retired, injured or lost in the trade and free-agent markets. WR Anthony Gonzalez is out 8 weeks & SS Bob Sanders is out 3-4 weeks. Tonight, I don't see the Miami offense looking flat with another 4-turnover performance when they play in front of a National TV audience @ Land Shark Stadium. Ronnie Brown & Ricky Williams are back in the backfield and Camarillo hopes to be back in the lineup @ WR. One key player to keep an eye on @ WR & special teams is ready-for-primetime Ted Ginn, Jr. I don't think the Colts can play a three-deep zone effectively as Atlanta did to contain Ginn all game. I think Pennington adjusts his passing lanes in the pocket to eliminate pressure coming from Freeney & Mathis. Coach Sparano has definitely emphasize ball protection this past week in practice so I'm looking for a different Dolphins offense to come out here. Now let's talk about a tougher Miami defense. Their 3-4 alignment has given fits to a normal Colts offense in the past so a makeshift one's in trouble here. Atlnta with 2 good RB's could only muster a total of 68 rushig yards. The secondary held Falcon receivers to under 6 yards a pass. In the nitty-gritty Red Zone, Miami gave up 1 TD in 4 chances. They face a Peyton Manning offense with rookie Collie & Wayne @ WR & Joe Addai in the backfield who rushed for a 2.3 yards per carry last week. Historical trends say the Colts usually win the road opener while Miami loses their home opener, but that ends here. Taylor & Porter head a good LB crew that will make Jim Caldwell's rookie road debut difficult to swallow. This series has saw the UNDERDOG cover in 8 of 9 tries. Our Doubleshot MNF Surrender Play is to take the Miami Dolphins but buy to + 3 1/2 for $400.

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox

The Twins are 8-0 in their last 8 road games vs. RHP. They’re playing good baseball now and are 6-1 in their last 7 overall. The CWS are 1-4 in their last 5 games overall. Minnesota is 6-1 in their last 7 games vs. the CWS and they are hitting at a .272 clip against Right-handed pitchers. The play here is the hotter team who is hitting better at this time.

PLAY: Minnesota Twins -125 3 Units

Indianapolis Colts vs. Miami Dolphins

The Colts aren’t the football dynasty they once were. QB Peyton Manning no longer has Marvin Harrison to count on and valuable WR, Anthony Gonzalez, is out 6-8 weeks with an injury. The Dolphins’ strength is its defensive play against the run-they held Falcons’ RB, Michael Turner, to 65 yards on 22 carries last week. Neither Colt RB ( Addai or Brown) has the speed to get to the outside so they should find tough sledding against the Dolphins’ interior run defense. Miami will cut down on its turnovers this week and get a nice home victory tonight. Look for the Dolphins to win this one, outright. PLAY IS: MIAMI DOLPHINS TO BEAT THE INDY COLTS!

San Francisco Giants vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

The pressure of the Wild Card race has gotten to the Giants who have lost 3 of their last 4 games. That spot keeps fading off into the horizon. The Giants are just 2-5 in their last 7 games against lefty starters and the D’backs ‘ Doug Davis has split his last 4 starts with them. He has a 3.88 ERA for his career against San Francisco. Barry Zito has been shaky on the road for the Giants this season (4-7, 4.20 ERA).

PLAY: Arizona -115 3 Units

Both teams didn’t look to hot on offense in Week 1. The Colts will be without Anthony Gonzalez for a while which can allow the Dolphins to key in on Reggie Wayne. Miami has a big size advantage on the offense line and I expect them to run the ball a lot tonight. This line opened at 43 and now is down to 41. It seems like on MNF the final always sends the game over the total. Vegas now drops the line 2 points and of course people take the Over whenever Payton Manning is on the field. Look for this game to stay Under the total.

I am keeping this short. The Dolphins could not contain Tony Gonzales last week against Atlanta and the Colts TE and WRs are far more active and Manning is a better QB. Miami cannot trade punches with Indy. Miami did a good good shutting down the run last week, but Indy will adjust and use controlled passing as a run to open it up later. Indy the better team, and even though we have a home dog here, Atlanta and Indy run similar passing schemes and ATL had their way against Miami, and QB Pennington has not looked good.

The Colts take on the Dolphins at Land Shark Stadium under the Monday night lights in Miami tonight knowing they are 6-0 SU and ATS as Monday night favorites off a win. On the flip side, the Dolphins are 0-7 SU and ATS as a dog or favorite of 4 or less points on Mondays when playing off a loss against an opponent off a win. We also note that Monday night road teams off a win-no-cover in Game Two of the season are 3-0 SU and ATS since 1980. Look for the better team behind the better quarterback, to get the win and cover here tonight. We recommend a 3-unit play on Indianapolis.

These are two teams just playing out the string, so at first you probably weren’t even thinking twice about playing this game. However, there are big time edges for the visitor here. Padres starter Wade LeBlanc has posted a 1.40 ERA this month and will be facing a Pirates lineup that is averaging only 3.4 runs per game vs. southpaws this season. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has lost all three of Daniel McCutchen’s starts this year. The team has just been horrible of late, losing 19 of its last 22 games. The Bucs are 18-39 this season coming off back to back losses and they’ve managed just one run in the last two games vs. San Diego pitching. The Padres are 15-8 after allowing one run or less in their previous game and 9-3 if they allowed two runs or less in BB games. They are also 12-5 off a win by four runs or more. San Diego is our 15* MLB Situational Mismatch.
