Too many points for Chicago to lay, especially with the line moving to -10. The Lions should have confidence for the first time in awhile and they have the ability to score. I expect them to fight hard and stay within the number. Take Detroit for a 3* play.

300♦ NY GIANTS - The Giants are coming off their best performance on the ground since the Week 16 victory over the Panthers last season, so with the running game alive and the Chiefs' defense extremely vulnerable against the middle-of-the-field play, I don't believe Kansas City has anything capable of stopping New York. But it runs deeper than rushing the ball up the gut or sending Manningham or Smith down the sidelines ... I expect Kevin Boss to have a big game for the Giants, as Eli Manning will be able to dink and dunk off a Chiefs defense that allowed Eagles tight end Brent Celek 104 yards and a touchdown and Ravens tight end Todd Heap 74 yards and a touchdown. This is an effective team in the red zone, and since the Chiefs’ defense has given up seven touchdowns in eight red-zone trips by their opponents, I think Manning and company will have a field day.
300♦ INDIANAPOLIS COLTS - I was in attendance to watch the Colts run, throw and basically dissect Arizona's defense last week. And for as bad as Arizona looked, I must say the Colts were clicking nicely, whether it was draw plays, quick tosses or streaks downfield. Peyton Manning is queitly guiding his team effectively this season, and after two road games on primetime - two Mondays ago in Miami and last Sunday in Phoenix - a solid homecoming effort is in order for the home crowd. It's funny how everyone is talking about New England and Pittsburgh to represent the AFC, yet the Colts are 3-0. Lay the points with the AFC's best passing game here, as the Seahawks will have no chance to keep up with Seneca Wallace competing against Manning in Indianapolis.
300♦ S.F. 49ERS - Think defense ... think Chicago .. think Monsters of the Midway. Think Mike Singletary. Now think about this, San Francisco is ferocious on the front line and the Rams' only hope is with their rushing game. Too bad for them, cause when you look at the Niners' front seven, the names might not jump out at you, but it ranks fourth in the NFL in run defense and is one of only three teams yet to allow a rushing touchdown this season. This 3-4 alignment is wreaking havoc, and after seeing the Cardinals struggle last week in their Sunday night affair with the Colts, the Niners have to believe the NFC West is their's for the taking. And this isn't a front that will sit back and wait for Steven Jackson to arrive on the scene, the Niners' talented stop unit will be coming downhill at him, and will likley load the box. And there's so much of a physical approach the Rams can take to counter. I don't think it works. Lay this chalk too.
