Hollywood Sports

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers
Prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The 49ers (3-1) return home after their triumphant 24-23 comeback win in Philadelphia as a 9.5-point favorite. San Fran may be primed for a letdown here -- and they are just 2-9-2 ATS in their last 13 games after a point spread victory. The 49ers have failed to cover the spread in 4 of their last 5 games against teams with a winning record. San Francisco is 1-1 at home this season -- and the Buccaneers have covered 11 straight road games against teams with at least a .500 record at home. Led by "Mr. 4th Quarter" Josh Freeman, the Bucs are tough as underdogs who have now covered 16 of their last 21 road games as the dog. Tampa Bay is playing this game on a short week after their 24-17 win against Indianapolis as a 10-point favorite on Monday Night Football -- but the Bucs have bounced-back to secure a 3-0-1 ATS mark in their last 4 games after a point spread loss. Look for the Buccaneers to do what it takes to win steal this game. Take the points with Tampa Bay.

Bob Balfe

Chiefs +2 over Colts

Indianapolis looked ok on defense Monday night, but now are coming off a short week having to prepare for Kansas City. The Colts got lucky on their touchdowns left week. Curtis Painter telegraphs his passes and I expect the Kansas City Defense to force turnovers. The Colts have been hit hard by the injury bug this year and there once good defense now has a lot of holes in it. With the status of Manning up in the air I would not be shocked to see this team tank it for the rest of the season to get Andrew Luck. Take Kansas City.

Eagles -3 over Bills

The Eagles Defense has looked bad this year, but Buffalo has been worst. This is a good up and coming team, but this is an absolute must win for Philadelphia and they have the better play makers on both sides of the ball. Both teams have key injuries, but more teams do after the first month of the season. The Eagles have been beating themselves this season and I expect them to get things fixed and to win this game. I do not see the Bills forcing turnovers like they have in their wins against Oakland and New England. Look for the Eagles to get a much needed win. Take Philadelphia.

Tampa +3 over 49ers

Tampa could have played a little better last week against the Colts, but they still got the win. The 49ers are off to a good start, but people are judging them based on last weeks win in Philly. Make no mistake about it, the Eagles blew that game with dumb plays after leading by 20 points. Tampa is a young team that just finds a way to win. The 49ers will be without their fullback today that will slow down pass protection and Gore running the ball. The 49ers will also be without their nose tackle. Look for the Bucs to run the ball well today and to get the road win. Take Tampa.

Vikings -3 over Cardinals

Arizona has been waiting for their passing game to really develop however it has not looked good yet. Kolb’s only option is Fitzgerald and good NFL teams will double team him. Todd Heap is a big injury and if he sits that will be a big blow for Arizona. The Vikings are good against the run and I do not see Kolb having a big day in a dome against a desperate team. Minnesota has looked good in the first half but horrible in the second. The good news is Arizona has aloud late comebacks this year also. Look for Adrian Peterson to have a huge day today. Take Minnesota.

Bengals -1 over Jaguars

Cedric Benson will play today as he is waiting on his suspension appeal from the NFL. Both teams have rookie quarterbacks, but Andy Dalton is a far better player at this point in his career. It many come to a shock for some people, but this Bengals team finally has a pretty good defense. The Jags are really no threat passing the ball and I look for Cincinnati to get a big road win today. Take the Bengals.

Titans +3 over Steelers

I have never seen the Steelers this banged up. Almost every key player is out for this game. The Steelers will be lost on both the offensive and defensive lines today. James Harrison is the leader of the linebackers on this defense, he wont play. The Titans finally got Chris Johnson on the right track last week and now their all pro fullback will be back in the lineup to clear lanes for Johnson. I expect the Titans to win this game with ease. Take Tennessee.

Jets +7.5 over Patriots

New England has a very bad defense and should not be over a touchdown favorite to anybody. New England will be without OJ Mayo who is the quarterback of an already bad defense. The Jets and Sanchez should put up a decent amount of points. New England has a few injuries at running back and on their offensive line. The Jets have a good defense and should limit damage done by Tom Brady. Look for the Jets to bounce back from last weeks embarrassing loss to the Ravens. Take New York.

Cardinals +120 over Brewers

The Cardinals were impressive as they disposed of the Phillies who were the best team in baseball. St. Louis is much like the Green Bay Packers as they are peaking just at the right time. The Brewers are great at home and tough to go against, but I think St. Louis is a better team. Take the Cardinals.
