Joseph D'Amico

New England Patriots vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Play: New England Patriots +2.5

Both New England and Tampa Bay came out and devoured their opposition in Week 1. The Patriots shredded the Jaguars, 47-12 while the Buccaneers blanked the Chiefs 25-0. The Pat's are touted as one of the two top teams in the NFL this season along with the Packers. As we all know, Tom Brady runs the offense. His backups are Hoyer and Mallett. They are a young and talented pair. Last week, the duo was 27-40, 335 YP, and 2 TD's. The stop unit is healthy and loaded with weapons. A season ago, the Patriot's were 2-2 SU and 2-1-1 ATS, averaging 26.7 PPG in exhibition play. Tampa Bay looked great against Kansas City in Game 1. However, both the Bucs and the Chiefs are slated to win 8 games this season. Tampa Bay has a good bunch of QB's in Johnson, Freeman, and Carpenter. But it's not quite the talent pool that New England has at the helm. QB, Josh Johnson was LW's leading rusher for KC. He won't have the luxury of moving the ball on foot today. TB's roster is packed at the RB and WR slots. Last season, they were 10-6 but folded badly 4 times, twice against New Orleans, once against Pittsburgh, and once against New England. They were by far the three best teams they had to face. They finished the pre-season at 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS, but averaged a mere 16 PPG. Due to the lockout, New England and their "highly-competitive" HC need to get in-sync before the regular season begins. What you see is what you get with Tampa Bay. While the Buc's will try, they just don't have the level of talent that the Pat's do. Take the points and New England.

WUNDERDOG

Connecticut at New York
Pick: Under 151.5

The Liberty have been nasty on the defensive end recently at home, where they have limited opponents to an amazingly low 57 points per game. The Sun have also played five of their last six off a win to the UNDER. The Liberty are riding an UNDER wave off of one day of rest where they are 27-13-1 and have been a picture-perfect 7-9 to the UNDER in their last seven as home chalk. The last 10 meetings between these clubs in New York have resulted in an 8-2 mark to the UNDER as well. Play on the UNDER.
