The Duke's Sports

Kansas State Under (50) for 1.5 Units

Both of these conference foes are coming off devastating conference losses. Kansas had an additional week to prep and should shore up their defense that got caught off-guard vs Baylor, whose quick pass and screen game torched them. Kansas should corral the K State offense, which is not nearly as potent nor as versatile as the Bears' offense. K State has a big-time runner in Thomas, who represents a high percentage of the Wildcats' yardage and Kansas knows that is what they need to take away. K State is hitting the road for the first time this season and should take the conservative approach with a ground control game and great defensive effort to establish field position. On the other hand, the Kansas' offense has yet to get untracked and Snyder does a great job in preparing his team defensively. "Under" the call.

3 Units West Virginia -10

Sharp bettors have brought this line down to -10 at most locations with square books having it at -10.5. However, there are a few factors that make West Virginia worthy of a bet in this game. South Florida's offense has been horrendous after changing it around under head coach Skip Holtz. Quarterback B.J. Daniels stats have been horrible, and South Florida's highest point totals have been 31 against Florida Atlanta and 24 points against Western Kentucky. Daniels has a horrible 4/7 touchdown to interception ratio and is only completing 52% of his passes. In addition, the Bulls are coming off of a game where they only had 219 yards against Syracuse. West Virginia has just as good, if not better, of a defense than Syracuse, and they have the added advantage of playing at home. In addition, West Virginia was able to play LSU very tough just a few weeks ago on the road, while South Florida got dominated by Florida, even though the Gators are not playing well this season. In fact, Florida just got defeated at home by LSU, making the West Virginia/LSU game even more important to this game. In addition, West Virginia wants this game badly. They have been beaten by South Florida in three out of the last four years, with the Bulls covering the spread in all of those games. Because of those losses, they are very motivated to finally beat South Florida. The Bulls and Mountaineers are as far apart now as they have been over the last few years in performance and current standing. West Virginia has a great quarterback in Geno Smith and Noel Devine is a little healthier this week. Also, this game is the first conference game from West Virginia, so they will be very focused on this game. Look for West Virginia to cover this point spread by about a touchdown.

Nick "BookieKiller" Parsons

6* Kansas St. -2.5

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the visitors:

The Wildcat's are 2-3 ATS to start the year; 4-1 SU. Last week they lost horribly to Nebraska 48-13 as 11-point dogs.

Although it struggled in last week's game in the passing attack, I expect K-State to get back on track against the porous secondary of the Jayhawks who just let Baylor rack up over 600 yards of offense; Carson Coffman gets the start under center.

The Wildcats were exposed in many different areas on the defensive side of the ball last week; however they still have solid players who should recover on Thursday like S Emmanuel Lamur and S Tysyn Hartman.

Kansas State has generally played very well in this position over the last two seasons; 10-8 ATS vs. conference opponents; 4-1 ATS when the line is +3 to -3.

On the other side of the field: The Jayhawks are 2-3 ATS and SU to start the year. Last week they got smashed by Baylor, 55-7 as 9-point dogs.

Kansas has a ton of problems on the defensive side of the ball; this factor will ultimately be the difference in this play.

It is unable to mount any sort of pressure; it's also have coverage issues.

It is adept at stopping the run, but will have its hands full with RB Daniel Thomas.

The offense can be called "inconsistent" at best; the offensive line is weak.

Kansas is just 1-3 ATS over the last two seasons when the line in the game is +3 to -3; also a horrible 5-12 ATS vs. conference opponents; a brutal 5-9 ATS when playing the roll of underdog.

Bottom line: The Jayhawks have won 3-straight at home over the Wildcat's, but when you take into account all of the above factors, that streak will end tonight;

REDZONE SPORTS

2* South Florida +10.5

Jr's grabbing the dangerous Dog that can play some defense! The Bulls coach Skip Holtz crew OFF A POOR LOSS last week gives us a ton of value as that hiccup in New York adds solid value! They lost to a sound & stout 4-1 Syracuse ball club.. Those of you that follow "JR O" knows that the public side is never where we want to be as the betting public is lining up on a 4-1 and #25th ranked WVU crew at a 65% clip, yet the line has dropped 2 points from sharp action. 12 DOWN TO 10.

We are not high at all this year on Wvu. The Wvu crew is a so*ft 4-1. look what a poor Marshall crew did yo them and we will gladly take the 10.5 and run go the bank!! We have capped this baby hard ( about 6 hours) and the JR O POWER RANKINGS check in @ Wvu- 5.3 points as we will take the over lay! We are sky high on the Usf Bulls Qb B. J. Daniels who is a gamer on O, protects the rock and the Bulls D is ranked 19th in the country in points allowed. 16 per game! This is South Fla ball club that held a pretty darn good Fla Gators team here boys to a 7-7 score @ the half before turnovers sunk the Bulls.. This Skip Holtz lead crew can keep the game inside the #'s. A few hidden JR O facts!! USF has gone 35-19 (.648) after a loss in the program’s 14-year history. Since joining the BIG EAST in 2005, the Bulls are 13-10 (.565) in games following a loss. As a head coach, Skip Holtz has posted a 29-16 (.644) record in games following a loss!! Bulls check in @ 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.5 & Wvu is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games as a home favorite of 3.5-10.5.

Yeah I saw people complaining about it but when someone says paid and confirmed what can you do, someone was posting lots of bad plays at the same site last Sunday hoping to get those stupid points.
