1-Unit Play. Take ‘Under’ 7.0 St. Louis at L.A. Dodgers

Last night these teams put nearly 30 base runners around the horn but all they could manage was eight runs. Well, they have an ump with a huge zone today and in the pivotal game in a 5-game series I think these teams give us the low-scoring affair that people expected yesterday. The Cards don't hit lefties and the Dodgers won't knock around Carpenter AND Wainwright.

0.5-Unit Play. Take ‘Over’ 8.5 Boston at L.A. Angels
0.5-Unit Play. Take L.A. Angels (-105) over Boston

I'm going to continue over my regular season capping on the Angels and say that they are an automatic play against left-handed pitcher. The Yanks and the Phillies should have gone 'over' yesterday but didn't. I think we get this one. I really think the Angels are going to come out firing in this series. I am not 100 percent sure that they will win this series (honestly, the Sox have OWNED them) but I do think that they will put up a hell of a fight. Going to chase an 'over' with this group and cahse on the home team to get a win.

0.5-Unit Play. Take Philadelphia (-160) over Colorado
0.5-Unit Play. Take ‘Under’ 9.0 Colorado at Philadelphia

Just going with the better team here. Aaron Cook is just 1-5 with a 5.75 ERA in his career against the Phillies and I loved the way that the defending champions look right now. Neither pitcher has had success in this situation: Hamels is terrible during the day and facing an offense that isn't going to be shut out again, and Cook is not good on extra rest of against the Phillies. However, a generous ump and the fact that the arguable aces of these teams are going in Game 2 makes this an 'under' play. Further, I don't expect the weather to play as much of a factor today, but we'll see.

Cardinals -120 over Dodgers
Wainwright/Kershaw

Missouri +3.5 over Nebraska

Both teams have overachieved this year. Nebraska has the nations best defense, but look at who they have played. The one team that was actually good, VTech, was a road loss. Missouri has dominated Nebraska in the past two years and I just do not see a drop off in talent or a Nebraska team that has improved that much to flip the tides. Missouri can put up points in a hurry and at home in front of a sold out stadium they will be tough to beat. Take Missouri.

The Cardinals send Adam Wainwright to the mound against Los Angeles at Dodgers Stadium tonight in Game Two of their NLDS series knowing Wainwright is 10-0 in his last ten road team starts, issuing 14 walks against 64 strikeouts in those games. He's also 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA in his last three starts against the Dodgers. Look for more of the same from Wainwright and the Cardinals here tonight. We recommend a 3-unit play on St. Louis with Wainwright.
