1500* - Ole Miss Rebels Definitely tough to lay points on the road in the SEC, but I believe the Rebels have what it takes to pass this road test, and keep their record unblemished.
Last year South Carolina won a 31-24 decision in Oxford as the 2 1/2-point underdog. It is worth noting that that loss came immediately after the Rebs had defeated Florida in Gainsville 31-30 as the 3 touchdown-plus underdog the week prior. As you can see, the "letdown" factor was looming large in that game for the Rebels.
That is not the case this season, as Ole Miss has had some time to get ready for this revenge game, and they have the weapons to get that revenge.
South Carolina's secondary is the weak link in this game, and Ole Miss triggerman Jevon Snead has a pair of receivers in McCluster, and Hodge that can exploit the young Gamecocks secondary.
Carolina is just 2-5 as the home dog since 2006, while Ole Miss is on a 6-1 against the spread run away from home their last 7, including covering at Memphis to open the season this year.
Counting their bowl win to conclude the season last year, the Rebels have won their last 8 games. Look for them to up that mark to 9 in a row with the win and cover in Columbia tonight.

I pride myself in the SEC as this my conference and am 2-1 on year with two wins being South Carolina at Georgia and Bama vs Vtech and lone loss being Arkansas at home against Georgia, so it could easily be 3-0. I look at a lot of variables in this match up and a lot of people with take the obvious number 4 ranked team over unranked, but not me. South Carolina is a very good football team who could easily be 3-0 and ranked inside top 15, but are not. Garcia is starting to excel in Spurrier's offense and I look for big things out of him this game. Spurrier in national spotlight games can present a few tricks up his sleeve and I give him the advantage against master mind Nutt. Ole Miss on the other hand is not really worthy of their number 4 ranking. Memphis was in that game until late in the game and Nutt wanted to run the score up and I look at Ole Miss really has not played anyone at all where USC has played NC State and Georgia already. Snead's problem is accuracy as he doesnt complete 57 percent of his passes and finds the other team sometimes in shaky situations. I am not denying the kid being good, but he was awful last year first half and remarkable second half. I look for South Carolina defense who have only allowed 250 yards a game to clamp down force a couple of opportune turnovers and come out victorious at home as they will move the ball against an Ole Miss defense.
Take South Carolina +4 for 9 units.
