Ron Raymond

Colorado vs. Minnesota

Keys to selection: The Avalanche will play their 7th straight road game, they are 4-2 on this current road swing and they are facing a Wild team who has only played 1 home game this season. Minnesota always plays tough at home and this is a great spot for the Wild here vs. what could be a tired Avs team.

Database Tip: When MINNESOTA played as Favorite- in the month of October; The Wild are 24-6 SU in this spot.

The Banker

1* VANCOUVER/CHICAGO UNDER 5.5 +105

Simply stated, I am looking for a playoff type game tonight in this matchup. The Canucks are reeling and looking for a little payback from last year's playoffs. Luongo has to turn this slump around and a playoff type game will get him on track. Sedin out too takes away some offense. Head to head, the Under is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings in Chicago and 5-0 in Canucks last 5 games when they are playing their 4th in 6 nights. The Hawks are 28-14 UNDER after scoring 3 or more in 4 straight games

The Canadian Prophet

1* BUFFALO SABRES -115
The Panthers pulled it off the other night at home against the "hit or miss" Flyers. Buffalo, however, is more consistent and hungry team. Back to healthy, I expect them to outshoot the Panthers and of the two goalies, that gives Buffalo a strong advantage tonight on the road. FLORIDA is 4-17 ATS (-14.3 Units) off a home win over the last 2 seasons and the Panthers are 1-6 in their last 7 games as a home underdog

Fantasy Sports Gametime

50* Play LA Dodgers (+125) over Philadelphia

Los Angeles has won 18 of the last 22 games coming off a one-run loss and they have also won 13 of the last 17 games as a road underdog of +125 to +175. Vicente Padilla has won 10 of the last 11 games as an underdog of +100 or higher and he is 2-0 over the last 3 starts with an ERA of 0.93.

50* Play Boston (-230) over Nashville

50* Play Chicago (-170) over Vancouver

Wunderdog

Dallas Stars @ Anaheim Ducks
5 units: Dallas Stars +1.5 (-235)

Right now nothing is working for the Ducks who have been shutout in two of their last three games. It is tough to back a team, especially on the puckline, that is having trouble finding the net. Even when they have had the extra man advantage the Ducks have come up empty in each of their last four games, getting nothing from their power play. Dallas has shown a knack for heading on the road after a disaster at home (18-8-2 after a 3+ goal home loss) and Anaheim has shown the inability to erase the big loss of three plus goals, dropping four straight. Good spot for the Stars on the puckline.

HalfBets

LA v. Philly

After a nice 2-0 sweep last night on the Over and the Yankees RL, we take it back east tonight. OK Game 5 is upon us in the NLCS. The Dodgers are +125 ML dogs and the O/U is at 8.5 right now. We now have a very smart pitching change from Torre with Padilla for Kershaw. The Phils send Hamels to close out the series. Well lets break this down. Padilla has utterly impressed us all on the team here. We have wagered against him all season and won most of them. He now comes in to the playoffs and has pitched superbly and gone a good number of innings before being pulled not for trouble but more for length of pitching. Now the other side of the fence. This Phillies team seems to have nine lives. They pulled out a huge victory the other night and have really put a dent in the Dodgers moral. However, we are just not sold on this Hamels. He was hit pretty significantly in the first game against the Dodgers. We just dont feel too comfortable taking the Phillies as a -140 fav here. Just not convinced that this series is over yet. We think this turns in to a serious pitching dual even though Hamels can get hit. We see something like 5-3 or 4-2 final. Looks like tonight we go with the dog!!

PICK: Dodgers ML +125 (9*) Best bet of the day
PICK: UNDER 8.5 -105 (5*)
