Tulsa +10½ over HAWAII

If you like punts and punt returns don’t tune into this game. These two rely on juggernaut offenses to score points and chances are there will be three punts or less in this whole game. The total is 73 and so it should be, as one has to wonder where the stops are going to come from. The fact is Hawaii won’t be able to stop the Golden Hurricanes and the Golden Hurricanes will not be able to stop the Warriors. So, the team that covers this number is very likely going to do so because of turnovers. If there are no turnovers then Tulsa not only has a great chance to cover but to win outright. Hawaii’s special teams have been absolutely brutal all season long. It’s almost like they don’t even practice anything but scoring TD’s. That could pose a big problem for them here, as Tulsa could have tremendous field position all game long and be continuously working with a short field. Look, the Golden Hurricanes are very, very likely to put up between 45 and 55 points. If the Warriors can top that by 11, good luck to them but chances are Tulsa stays well within this range with a chance to win it. Play: Tulsa +10½ (Risking 2.16 units to win 2).

Scott Rickenbach

East Tennessee State @ Appalachian State
PICK: Appalachian State -1

Appalachian State plays this game with double revenge as they have lost each of their last two meetings with East Tennessee State. Appalachian State is fired up after losing yesterday’s game to Texas State as a double digit favorite! Appalachian State is still 6-3 ATS in all tournament games the last three seasons and they have a straight-up record of 22-10 the last three seasons when they are facing a team with a losing record. Note that East Tennessee State dropped to 4-7 on the season with yesterday’s loss to Northeastern. East Tennessee State has now lost three straight games and is suffering through a horrific shooting slump that has now lasted nearly two weeks (since they upset Mississippi State). With East Tennessee State struggling to find their rhythm on offense, playing a 3rd game in 3 days certainly won’t help their weary legs. Consider a small play on Appalachian State in early Friday College Hoops action.

Sam Martin

St. Louis at Mississippi
Prediction: Mississippi

Very small college card today, but we think we found some line value with Mississippi here. St. Louis has not been good on the road so far this year, going just 1-4 straight up with their only win coming against Northeastern. And all four of those losses have come by at least seven points. Ole Miss should have a huge rebounding advantage in this one, and scores enough to win comfortably!

Triple Threat Sports

Tulsa (+) over Hawaii

REALLY like this Tulsa team, especially in bowls where they have been dominant the last two years. However, Hawaii is super tough at home in these bowls as well, so as tempting as it to take the points with a star rated play, we will stay conservative here.
