Philadelphia 76ers at Dallas Mavericks
Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
When the Sixers meet the Mavericks at the AAA in Dallas Friday evening they will take the court knowing they are 12-5 TAS in their last 17 visits to the big 'D', including 8-1 ATS in games when the Mavs are off a SU and ATS win. With Dallas just 2-8 ATS a a favorite in non-conference clashes before taking on New Orleans, look for the Sixers to improve to 6-2 ATS in games when they are on the take this season. We recommend a 1-unit play on Philadelphia.

The Raptors are 6-0 OU (+12.5 ppg) when their line is at least ten points higher than last game (a jump in class), 9-0 OU (+10.5 ppg) on the road with at least a day of rest after a loss in which Andrea Bargnani had more turnovers than assists and 4-0 OU (+25.1 ppg) in franchise history on the road after a loss in which Jarrett Jack had more turnovers than assists. The Magic are 4-0 OU (+11.8 ppg) as a favorite after a game at home in which they committed at least twenty turnovers. Consider the Magic and Raptors OVER.

Boise State at Idaho
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
This one looks really bad on paper. Boise State gained 737 total yards of offense in last week's 42-7 demolition of Hawaii while Idaho allowed an incredible 844 yards in a 63-17 loss to Nevada. The Vandals are 0-16 SU since '96 vs. Top 25 teams, losing by an average of over 31 points per game. Boise is 11-2 ATS in the road favorite role.

Boise State vs. Idaho
Play: Boise St -34.5
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Boise State is in Idaho for a Friday Night game as they put their 8-0 record on the line against a sub .500 Idaho squad. Idaho has lost each of their last two games and three of their last four games as they take on their second straight ranked opponent. Boise State is number four in the country and have had an offensive explosion scoring 33 points in every games including scoring in the forty's three times and in the fifty's three times. Look for he Bronco's offense to once again light up the scoreboard as they gallop to 9-0.

JIM FEIST

TORONTO RAPTORS VS ORLANDO MAGIC.
PLAY: TORONTO RAPTORS

Toronto hasn't been winning, but this offense is very good, averaging 99.4 ppg. Despite a 6-game slide, this team has been in four of those. They were this big an underdog at the LA Lakers and covered all the way in a 108-103 defeat. Orlando has failed to cover 4 in a row and comes off a home loss to the Utah Jazz. They've been favored by 10, 9, 7 and 17 points the last four games and failed to cover every one. Orlando gets the home win, but not in a blowout. Play the Toronto Raptors.

Boise State Broncos -34.5
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Broncos are in the spot of hoping for losses by Auburn and Oregon to be able to reach the BCS Championship game and the only thing they can do is to continue to win by large margins. Laying 35 points on the road is a huge margin, but I expect Boise to be up to the task. Nevada put up 844 yards as they demolished this Idaho team 63-17 and I expect a similar effort by the Broncos. Idaho is just 1-3 against the spread in their last four games as a home underdog of 21 or more points and the Broncos are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games as a road favorite of 21 or more. Boise State head coach Peterson has stated that he is not concerned about winning with style points, but we all know that is exactly what they have to do to try to impress the pollsters. This one should get ugly fast. Lay the points.

Georgetown vs. Old Dominion
Play: Georgetown -2
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
To say this is a big game Georgetown would be an understatement. Normally looking at a favored ranked team on the road against an unranked team would be ill-advised but in this case, there is a lot of backbone to it. The Hoyas want revenge plain and simple. After an 8-0 start last season for Georgetown, the Monarchs came into the Verizon Center, led pretty much from start to finish and upset the Hoyas by four points. Georgetown recovered from it as it won its next three games but it was still a stinger. Old Dominion went 27-9 last season and won its opening round game in the NCAA Tournament before falling against Baylor. The Monarchs return four starters from that team but the one loss is a big one as Gerald Lee has departed along with his 14.4 ppg. The Monarchs expect to make a run in the CAA once again but the one thing they lack is a player that can take a game over when needed which is what Lee gave them. There will be plenty of wins but this is a tough opening game spot. The loss of Greg Monroe is a big one for Georgetown but the Hoyas do have players that can fill the vacant spot. Julian Vaughn will be expected to be the primary guy in the post and while he is no Monroe, he showed good signs and has the experience to step right in. The backcourt for the Hoyas is the strength with Chris Wright, Austin Freeman and Jason Clark. The trio averaged 42.2 ppg last season and all averaged double figures. That makes for a nightmare for opposing defenses. Adding more motivation for Georgetown is the fact that it was ousted in the first round of last season’s NCAA Tournament by Ohio, one of the bigger upsets in the first round. You can guarantee the Hoyas want to rid that bad taste and get this season going in the right direction. A team like Old Dominion would normally look exception as a home underdog this early because there is experience in place. However, the angles on the side of the Hoyas outweigh that and they get their revenge tonight. 3* Georgetown Hoyas

Bryant vs. Cleveland State
Play: Cleveland State -25.5

How is there even a line on this game. What a joke. Bryant went 1-17 in NEC play last year and was 1-29 on the season. This team can't compete with Sacred Heart. HC Gary Waters will look to dictate the tempo and start off the year with a huge win here.

Dallas has been one of the most overvalued teams in the NBA. In fact, it is just 1-16 ATS in home games when playing against a team with a losing record over since the beginning of last season. Over the same time frame, the Mavs are 0-8 ATS as a home favorite of 9.5 to 12 points, only winning these games by 0.4 points on average. Take Philly and the points tonight.

Orlando is one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. It will really tighten the screws tonight after allowing a team to crack the century mark for the first time this season in its last game. Orlando is 17-7 UNDER when the total is 200 to 209.5 over the last 2 seasons and 43-24 UNDER when the total is greater than or equal to 200 over the last 3 seasons. Lastly, the UNDER is 49-21-1 in Orlando's last 71 after allowing 100 points or more in its previous game.

Classic motivational play here on the home side, as we'll fade Utah off back-to-back huge upset wins over the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic in their last two games. On the other side of the court, Atlanta is steaming after dropping three straight, and we expect a much more focused effort here from the home side. Hawks have won and covered three straight in this series, and catch the Jazz in a great letdown spot here!

New Mexico State allowed 77.6 points per game overall last year and 80.5 points per game on the road last season. Louisiana Lafayette has won 9 of their last 10 meetings with New Mexico State including a perfect 5-0 SU at home vs New Mexico State since 1997. Aggies are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. Sun Belt. Favorite is 3-0-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings. Aggies are 0-6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. We'll recommend a small play on Louisiana Lafayette tonight!

Any conference away underdog of 10.0 or more that is 0-3 SU in their last three games, they lost their previous game by four points or more, versus an opponent coming off of a home favorite SU loss, and they have a winning percentage of .493 or better is 18-3 ATS since 1990. The double-digit underdog has won 4 of those 21 games outright.
