In his last 2 starts against the Royals Bonderman has gotten hit hard allowing 11 runs, and 19 hits in just 12+ innings pitched. Plus add in the fact that he has regressed in his last 3 starts giving up 17 runs, 17 hits including 5 home runs, and 8 walks in just 15+ innings pitched resulting in a 9.39 ERA, and a whopping 1.631 Whip. And I just can't see the Tigers being that big of a favorite here in this spot against Chen and the Royals making Kansas City my top rated value play of the day.
