San Jose St vs Kansas
Pick: Over
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The San Jose Spartans step out of their league here on Monday both figuratively and literally. They step way up in class as they travel to play Kansas. And if their past is any indication, this game should FLY over the total. The last 60 road games for the Spartans have seen the over come in 41 times. And against a road team with a winning percentage, that number is 36 overs out of 54. Recently, the overs have been just as good as San Jose has gone over in their last Five contests with a total. Consider also that Kansas has scored 69 or more points in four of its five games this season with a 2-1 o/u mark in games with a total. Wouldn't be surprised at all if this game is one of the Jayhawks' highest scoring games of the season. Take the OVER.

Portland Trailblazers vs Detroit Pistons
Pick: Portland Trailblazers

Second of back to backs for both Portland and Detroit. The Blazers are better equipped to handle the situation and should get the win and cover tonight on the road.

Northern Colorado vs Colorado State
Pick: Colorado State
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Tim Miles did an excellent job of making the Colorado State basketball program relevant before leaving after last season to take over at Nebraska and his replace, the well-respected veteran of college coaching, Larry Eustachy (406-258 in 28 seasons), has made things even better. Colorado State returns four starters from last year’s 20-12 NCAA team, has added depth that it did not have then, and has become a major player. This is the oldest rivalry in Colorado State history, dating back to the first game played in 1901, and the Rams have all the edges to get it done. In addition to superior talent, Colorado State has one of the strongest home court biases in the country. The Rams proved that again last year, going 14-1 at Moby Arena.

The loser here has to suffer more humility. The 2-8 Panthers have lost six games by a touchdown or less and are 1-3 on the road. The 3-7 Eagles are on a six-game losing streak and lost their last four by at least 13 points each. The Panthers find ways to blow games while Eagles rarely lead. Still, not prepared to spot road points in this battle of the meeks despite Philly’s cluster of injuries. Underdogs in NFC games hitting at a high rate and this one would come as no surprise

Oakland +12.5

These Golden Grizzlies are "Powers" from the Summit League! They are lead by a 492 win and experienced coach Greg Kampe, who will have them ready to play on National Tv tonight. Grab the 12.5 as the last outing these Grizzlies were hanging super tough with the Mich St Spartans... 43-39 at the 12 minute mark and they get toasted down the stretch... These Grizzlies shot a poor 28 %.. NOT TONIGHT... Look for the Grizzlies Petros an All League 6' 10" banger to be a force on the "Glass".. last night we hang up a W on the San Diego St Aztecs.

Philadelphia/ Carolina Over 40.5: The Eagles offense hasn't been that good this year, but I believe in Nick Foles and I feel that with another week of preparation he will be ready to have a big game. He has been hearing the fans clamoring for him and what better time to have a breakout game then on MNF. I know he didnt fare all that well vs a Skins weak pass defense, but he gets another shot at a pass defense that comes in 17th in the league, allowing 232 ypg. On the other side, Cam Newton has struggled as well and he will be looking to have a big game for the National audience as well. He will be going up against a Philly defense that has allowed 26 or more points in each of their last 5 games. This is both teams super bowl, as they will not be going to the post season and I expect both teams to hold nothing back in this one. 45+ points here.

Oakland +12 over TENNESSEE: Yes the Vols have revenge for the last 2 years, but this is also a big game for Oakland. I mean how many times this this team get to play in front of national cameras. Oakland may have lost by 18 to Michigan state the other night, but they weren't down all that much until State put the game away late. Oakland also played at Pittsburgh and took the Panthers to OT before losing by 10. This team can play with the big boys. On the other side we have a Tennessee squad that may be 3-1 on the year, but they have outscored their opponents by just 3.4 ppg. This is a Tennessee squad they won by just 9 points over 1-6 Kennesaw State (at home) and by just 7 points over 1-5 NC Asheville and Oakland is better than those 2 teams. Not very impressive at all. Oakland employs an uptempo game and Tennessee had some problems with that pace vs UMass, before pulling away late. The Grizzlies are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 off a loss, while Tennessee is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 at home. The Grizzlies are very underrated and will keep this one close throughout.

HARRY BONDI

CAROLINA -3 over Philadelphia

Two of the most disappointing teams in the league and a pair of lame duck head coaches square off tonight in Monday Night Football, but the situation for the Eagles is much more dire. Philly comes in on a six-game losing streak, has covered just one game all season and is 3-7 straight up, but that record could be a lot worse since the combined margin of all those wins is four points. They're down to a back-up QB in Nick Foles that has looked completely lost and one of their lone threats on offense, LeSean McCoy, is doubtful with a concussion. The offense has yet to top 24 points this season and since dismissing its defensive coordinator, Philly has allowed 30, 28, 38 and 31 points. The Panthers are at least still showing some sort of fight, going 4-6 ATS against one of the toughest schedules in the league. If the Panthers jump ahead early -- and we think they will -- this crowd is going to turn ugly. Lay the short number on the road.

Joe Gavazzi

Milwaukee +5

With Saturday night's 93-86 Chi victory in Milwaukee, the Bulls have now won 9 straight in this series. They are also 12-1 SU in this series at this site. NBA teams have the most trouble in game 1 after returning from a long road trip. That's exactly the situation that Chicago finds themselves in tonight. In addition, this overrated team has played poorly on their home court, where they stand just 3-3 SU, 0-6 ATS. Fueled by turnaround revenge, look for the Bucks to pull the mini upset, and reverse their three game losing streak, increasing their mark to 5-1 ATS away.

3 UNIT PLAY

New York/ Brookyln Over 193: the Knicks are back to playing like most of last year, where they had all offense and no defense. In their last 3 games the nicks have averaged 111.7 ppg, while allowing 115 ppg over that same stretch. In their last game they allowed the 215 ranked scoring offense (Detroit) to put up 100 points on them. The Knicks have allowed 101 ppg on the road and the Nets have averaged 97.5 ppg at home. Brooklyn has allowed just 91.4 ppg at home, but teams are shooting a high 48.5% vs them on their home floor. The Knicks have put up 103.4 ppg on the road this year and will surely get their points vs the Nets tonight. Should be a fast paced game that will easily make it to the 200's. KEY TRENDS--- The Overs is 7-1-1 in the Knicks last 9 road games, while the OVER is 4-1 in the Nets last 5 vs the Atlantic.

Panthers -3 over Eagles

Neither team is going to make the playoffs, but sometimes its easy to out think yourself in spots like this. The Eagles will be playing a starting quarterback who NEVER has won a pro football game and will be starting a running back who NEVER started a game in college. I trust Cam Newton and the Stewart/Williams combo over this duo. That is the bottom line and that is why I am taking the Panthers. With this being said neither team is any good and both offensive lines are a shell of what an average offensive line should be. When you cannot protect the quarterback turnovers are going to happen. Nick Foles showed promise in the preseason, but that was all against vanilla defenses. Cam Newton at least has the ability to pick up yardage with his feet. If we lose this game then so be it, but you never take a team with a backup quarterback and a backup running back over a team that has their regular starters in the lineup. Take the Panthers.
