3 UNIT PLAY

St Louis/ San Francisco Under 7: Chis Carpenter has been solid since his return this year and he didn't allow an ER in his lone post season start this year. Ryan Vogelsong has really been tough down the stretch ah he allowed just 2 ER's in his last 22 innings of work, while has has also allowed just 1 ER in his last 12 innings vs the Cards. Both offenses looked decent last night, but I feel the pitchers will steal the show in this one. Look for 4 or 5 runs at most here.

San Diego/ Denver Under 48: Hmmm 81% of the Public is on the Over yet the game is down 2 points since it opened at 50. Well going in I felt like the Under was the way of this game anyway. The Charger run game seems to be getting it's sea legs and they are starting to use that run game a bit more. San Diego has put up 112.3 ypg on the ground in their last 3 games with a 4.9 ypc average to go with it. That is very solid and they will be taking on a Denver defense that has allowed 153 ypg at 4.4 ypc in their last 3 games. It is key for teams to be able to run on Denver as it keeps Manning on the sidelines. The Chargers will definitely look to keep him on the sidlines, so their improved run game will be key here. The Broncos will also need to run McGehee in this one as that will keep the Charger defense from teeing off on Peyton Manning. Despite having a high powered offense the Chargers are not really comfortable in a shootout as evidenced by last weeks game vs New Orleans. They like to control the ball and clock and will look to do that here as it will keep Manning on the sidelines. Despite the career that Manning has had in 7 regular season meeting vs the Bolts he has hit 60.8% of his passes, which is the 3rd worst mark vs any team, and he has 12 TD's to 16 INT's in those games. All of that add up to him posting a 72.5 QB rating, which is his worst rating vs any team and he did all that as a member of the Colts, where he had more weapons than he does with Denver. I do not see this game as a shootout, as I expect at most 40 points scored.
