Alabama +5½ over Oklahoma St
This one will be played at a neutral site, that being the Honda Center in Los Angeles. The Cowboys come in with a misleading 9-1 record after playing a whole slew of cream puffs in their first 10 games. OSU’s last four games have come against Central Arkansas, LaSalle, Tulsa and Missouri St. Its first six games were against Houston Baptist, Texas A&M CC Islanders (not the Aggies), Nicholls St., DePaul, Va. Tech and Murray St. They lost to the Hokies and they beat a bad DePaul team by four. Strong PG play in college is crucial and the Cowboys lack that big time. In fact, against that weak schedule in what should be some skewed stats, OSU ranks 301 in the nation in assists per game. This is a bad team with a good record, end of story. The Tide are just 5-5 and they’re not going to raise any eyebrows this season but at least they went out and scheduled some non-conference games against much tougher opponents. They’ve already played Seton Hall, Providence, Iowa and Purdue and they’re simply much more battle tested than the Cowboys. This line is solely based on OSU’s 9-1 record but again, this is a lousy club that is not going to win many more once the Big-12 schedule kicks in. Tide straight up but we’ll take the points. Play: #557 Alabama +5½ (Risking 2.06 units to win 2).
