Notre Dame vs. Michigan State
Play: Michigan State -3.5

Notre Dame is 1-1 on the season with a win against Purdue, but came home and was beaten by Michigan late in the game with under 30 seconds left as they couldn't hold a lead after just taking it. Michigan State is 2-0 and soundly won each game by double figures. Look for the ground and pound running game of Michigan State to weaken the Notre Dame Defense for the second half as the Spartans run wild in the fourth quarter. Play Michigan State

B.C. LIONS –3½ over Hamilton

After its last two performances it’s hard to believe the Lions went on a 0-7 run before that but it’s true. One win does wonder to a team psyche and the Lions snowballed a big win over the Als into another nice win last week. They’ve now won two in a row over Montreal and Toronto and outscored that duo by a combined 75-33. The TiCats were a false favorite last week at home to the Alouettes and appeared lifeless at home in a 27-6 loss. That broke a four-game win streak for the Eastern Cats but those four wins came against Toronto twice and the Blue Bombers twice. The Tabbies have five wins all year and have not beaten anyone other than Toronto and Winnipeg (three times). Now they’ll travel out west and the mental state of the team is a fragile one. Receiver Maurice Mann is twittering that he's not getting the ball enough and those types of things accomplish nothing but damage. Kevin Glenn is wildly inconsistent and Hamilton’s running game leaves a lot to be desired. The Lions, meanwhile, are feeling good and they’re on a roll. This B.C. team plays terrific defense and now that the offense is moving the chains and scoring, the defense is playing even better. They’re a well-balanced offense that’s gaining confidence and steam. The Tigers Cats have proven nothing this season and things might get worse. Play B.C. Lions –3½ (Risking 2.2 units to win 2).
