PHI (-300) vs WAS
Slim pickings on the Thursday MLB card, so we might as well go with the easiest call on the board here as Philadelphia hosts division rival Washington. The Nationals are 17-41 in division games this year, which is obviously terrible. Even worse is that they are 0-11 on the road since the start of the 2008 season when revenging consecutive losses by two runs or less. They are 13-45 after scoring one run or less over that same time, a record that speaks for itself considering it means they've scored zero or one run 58 times in two years. Toeing the rubber for Washington will be Ross Detwiler, and all he's done is go 0-5 in 10 starts (NINE team losses!) with an 11.68 ERA in his last three starts. Philly has dominated lefties this year, going 28-15.

MIAMI -5.5 over Georgia Tech
A lot of trends do favor the Jackets in this one, but the fact is that the Canes are the most talented team in the ACC and two weeks ago Jacory Harris had a great game vs a tough FSU Defense. Miami has had two weeks to prepare for the Triple option and they should be able to hold Tech down enough to get the comfortable win here. Revenge is also a big factor in CFB and Miami was spanked by Tech 41-23 last year. Look for the Canes to win by 10+ in this one.

Ga Tech looked good early in clemson game, but mostly scored on non offensive plays. They had a punt return a fake field goal td they gained a 24 pt lead and blew it to clemson because there offense started to stagger. On other side Miami Fla hit on all cylinders agianst fla st scoring all night long v.s a fla st defense that is suppose to be pretty good. I think Ga tech will be able to score on miami Fla defense and clemson scored all 2nd half on ga techs defense so miami will have no problem getting into the endzone. I think this game soars over the TOTAL. Game of Week Miami/Gt Over 54
