FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
The Spurs are coming off six straight wins, and they have really played well defensively during that span, limiting opponents to an average of fewer than 90 points per game. They won their last game in impressive fashion, blowing out Brooklyn by a score of 104-73.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Coach Popovich was careful to rest his starters in that game, with the Spurs playing the first of a back to back Wednesday in Milwaukee, before facing the Knicks in New York on Thursday. No player logged more than 26 minutes in the win over the Nets, so they should be well rested coming into their game versus the Bucks. Popovich isn't likely to hold anything back in this game, as this is one that surely he feels they should win. If there is any chance of sitting the stars, it would be more likely to be in New York on the back end of this back to back.

The Bucks are coming off a loss to the Pistons in Detroit, and coach Skiles wasn't too pleased with his team's effort: "It was more than a bad start, it was a bad 3 1/2 quarters," said coach Scott Skiles, whose team fell behind 13-0 to start the game. "They outplayed us except for maybe six to eight minutes the whole game."

The Spurs are 5-1 SU versus the Bucks in their last six meetings, and they covered the points in four of those games.

Loyola-Chicago vs. Valparaiso
Pick: ValparaisoFOR FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Valparaiso won the Horizon league regular season title last year, finishing 22-12. It was Bryce Drew’s first season as the school’s head coach and his Crusaders figure to be one of the toughest mid-major teams in the nation this season. Six seniors return and the starting frontcourt of the 6-7 Ryan Broekhoff (defending Horizon League Player of the Year) averaging 16.7 & 7.8 and the 6-8 Van Wijk (12.2-5.4) is a good one. Starting for the Crusaders with those two big men are PG Buggs (4.9-5.7APG), Boggs (7.1) and Bogan (4.4). Coming off the bench are a pair of 6-4 players, Kenney (6.1) and Coleman (5.9). More good news recently came Valpo's way as South Florida transfer LaVonte Dority (13.6 PPG in five games) has added an extra dimension to the Crusaders, who now have the sort of slasher to complement spot-shooting Aussie F Ryan Broekhoff and 6-8 Dutch battering-ram Kevin Van Wijk.

That said, Loyola-Chicago is no push-over at 9-3. The Ramblers have fully bought into Porter Moser’s defense-first mantra. Freshman guard Devon Turk is providing instant offense off the bench (8.2 PPG on 51.1% threes) and Iowa transfer Cully Payne (8.5-4.5 APG) is providing more leadership at PG than Loyola has been used to seeing in recent years. The 6-8 Averkamp (15.7-6.6) is a quality forward to 'hang' with Broekhoff but the Ramblers have no one to match Van Wijk's size inside. The Ramblers aren't bad but the addition of Dority makes Valpo the team to beat in the Horizon, especially with Butler no longer around. The Crusaders are 7-0 SU at home so far, outscoring opponents on average, 75.0-to-55.2 PPG. Sounds about right to me.

Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors
Prediction: Los Angeles ClippersFOR FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
They should take care of business on Wednesday as a road favorite as they have covered the point spread in 5 of their last 6 games against teams with a winning percentage over 60%. Los Angeles (25-6) has also covered 6 of their last 8 games against Western Conference opponents. Golden State (21-10) is just 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games against fellow Pacific Division opponents. And while the Clippers are 10-3 on the road, the Warriors are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games against teams with a winning percentage over 60% on the road. Take the Clippers.

The Gators are one of the best defensive teams in the nation and will be a big step up in class from anyone that Louisville has faced all season. The Cardinals might have two losses, but they came in the last three games and includes an L as a double digit favorite v. UConn and by 19 points in a pick em situation v. Syracuse.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Florida on the other hand has one loss on the year and that was to a Georgia team that could easily be playing for a national championship right now. They only allowed one opponent all year to score more than 20 points and that was Florida State, another premiere team.
FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Louisville has a pretty good pass defense, but Florida is a running team who averages 4.6 yards per rush against some quality defenses. Louisville on the other hand likes to throw the ball, but is going to have a tough time moving the ball through the air against a Gator defense that allowed just one out of their last six opponents to throw for more than 195 yards.

This play will be a rated play tonight for all late phone clients as well as the free play. The Clippers were finally beat last night ending their 17 game win streak. Teams who are in a situation where a lengthy winning streak is snapped often lose focus and are unable to recapture the momentum they had while in the midst of the winning. Tonight the Clippers are in Golden State the night right after losing to Denver. The Warriors are rested and ready with 3 days off since their last game. This rest scenario sets the Warriors up in a solid system here tonight that hits over 80%. We want to play on home teams from +3 to -3 that scored 100 or more as a small home favorite in their last game if they have 3+ days of rest and the total is 200 or higher. Golden St has won and covered all 3 instances this season with 3 or more days rest and is 9-1 straight up and to the spread vs winning teams. They already beat the Clippers by 4 in Los Angeles earlier in the season and have won 3 of the previous 4 meetings here vs the Clippers. LA has failed to cover 5 of the last 7 as a road favorite of 3 or less and will be up against it here as the cream puff part of their schedule is over for now. On a side note 4 teams have traveled into Golden St with no rest off a road game this season. Three of the four lost, and failed to cover. Look for Golden St. to win this one.

Other teams are grabbing headlines but the Spurs are still among the NBA elite. They won on New Year’s Eve for the 6th time in a row (4-2 ATS) and are on the road against a slightly better than average Milwaukee Bucks team.

The offense is really cooking right now with 5 straight 100 point performances including a high of 129 against Dallas. The Spurs are ranked in the top 5 in all major offensive categories, I love their depth and ability to hit free throws.

They are 12-6 on the road so odds are they are going to win. Milwaukee is about as inconsistent as it gets.

In the same week they beat the Heat but lost to the Cavaliers at home. They are a great fade candidate when the lines are not too great.

FOR THE LARGEST SELECTION OF FREE SERVICE PLAYS VISIT THESPREAD.COM
Sacramento may have surprised the Celtics, but that was at home and this team has been awful on the road. The Kings are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. NBA Central. This is also a terrible spot, the second of a back to back road spot for them after playing at Detroit last night. Cleveland is rested and at home and is 2-2 the last four games, with a pair of wins at Milwaukee and Washington as a dog each time, plus a 103-100 loss at the Nets as a +9 dog. They are on a 3-1 ATS run and should get back on the winning track against the tired Kings. Play the Cavaliers.

Yes we will buy that line move to a good ball club led by a rock solid coach Geno Ford .. These 9-4 Braves are solid in the Backcourt with Lemon and Edwards... We cap the DEFENSE end first and try this stat on for size ... " these Braves are holding opposing ball clubs to 61 ppg and 39% shooting from the field". The Braves were throttled last season @ 7-25 SEASON mark... not this year...Salukis are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games & Salukis are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Missouri Valley.

Florida/ Louisville Under 46: The Gator defense has been outstanding this year as they have allowed just 13 ppg and 283 ypg on the year. Those numbers were vs the 4th toughest schedule in the nation. Florida didn't face many good QB's this year, but they did hold A&M to their lowest output of the year (17 points) and held Georgia and Aaron Murray to 17 points as well so I don't feel they will have a tough time stopping Teddy Bridgewater in this one. Making it even tougher on Bridgewater is the fact they they have a pretty weak ground attack (100th), which will not take the pressure off of Teddy. I just don't see him getting many big plays or moving the ball all that easily vs a defense that allows just 4.3 yards per play (3rd in nation). The Gators have needed that defense this year, because their offense is just not what it used to be. The Gators are 103rd overall and 118th in passing. They do have a strong running game (34th) and that is a big plus when you have an under play, cause it helps keep the clock rolling. The Gators don't stand to get too much off a solid Louisville defense that is 25th overall and 19th vs the pass. They can be run on as they are 51st in that department and that fits right into Florida's plans. I look for the Gators to run allot and then rely on their defense to slow down a good Louisville offense, which should keep the scoring in the 30's.

Youngstown State at Illinois Chicago
Pick: Illinois Chicago -155 ML

The Youngstown State Penguins have risen from the ashes of being a longtime Horizon Conference doormat, opening the season with promise at 8-5. They have, however, padded the win column with three wins vs. non-Div-1 schools, but nonetheless they are a step up from where this program has been. Illinois-Chicago is several years from the limelight of their Big Dance upsets, but have turned the corner. At 9-4 this season they have yet to be up-staged at home where they are 5-0. The Flames own an impressive win here vs. 11-2 Colorado State, and remain a step ahead of the Penguins - especially at home. Play Illinois-Chicago on the moneyline.

The simulator shows a high probability that Davidson will lose this game by 10 or fewer points. Duke may be No. 1 in the nation, but Davidson has returned all five starters and is a significant favorite to win the Southern Conference. Supporting this graded play is a proven system posting a 68-29 ATS mark for 70% winners since 2006. Play against favorites of 10 to 19.5 points after 8 or more consecutive wins and is undefeated on the season. This system simply is a reflection of what I call ?public irrational exuberance?. The line for this game is inflated because Duke is No.1 and undefeated and facing a team that with a 7-5 record appears to have no chance to even stay within 20 points of Duke. When a storied program like Duke gets on a run, there is a steady stream of public backers making the bandwagon all the bigger. This forces the linesmaker to adjust the line to accommodate the anticipation of more bets being placed on Duke with each pass win. This is exactly what helps create the opportunity we have before us tonight in taking Davidson.
