Cam Akers O59.5 rush yards -115

Akers has become the bell cow for the Rams, and inefficiency has held him back from big statistical games.

However, part of the reason for that inefficiency is the fact that he’s played against the Bucs and 49ers elite run defenses for 37 of his 54 carries this post season. Cincinnati is 24th in the NFL in YPC allowed.

In a game where the Rams are nearly 2-1 favorites to win, game script shouldn’t get away from us, and McVay has shown throughout his tenure as the Rams head coach to be a one back coach. Akers once again dominated snaps in the NFC championship game until an in game shoulder injury cost him snaps.

Number is to low for a player getting Akers type of usage, and I would have made this number closer to the mid to high sixties.

#101 LOS ML (-185)

Personally, I am going to wait to play this. The Super Bowl favorite money line typically gets bet down on Game Day due to the books having liability on the underdog money line. However, I wanted to get this pick out early for everyone, so it will be graded at -185.

This isn't a big edge, and as you all know, the biggest edge we will have will be on the props. I am going to have official props and also send some "unofficial props" which will mostly consist of some rogue numbers that I hit that aren't widely available enough to make official. However, if you have access to some of those props, go ahead and bet them if the price is similar!

Van Jefferson (LAR) U2.5 receptions -120 (Consensus)
Analysis:
Jefferson has went under this number in 7 of his previous 8 games, and has only been seeing 3.5 targets per game in those contests. This line closed -150 in the NFC championship game and Jefferson still went under despite Stafford attempting 45 passes in that game. I see no reason for why this line isn’t similar to last weeks closing line on Jefferson.

Here is a list of "unofficial" plays that I made. What that means is that these lines are not super widely available, so I can't make them official plays. I'll probably have 100+ personal plays for this game and I didn't include any that I know are gone and nobody will have a chance at them. If you can find some of these lines are similar lines to what I played, they are worth a play. I will update this as the week goes on

2d hlf vs1h.

(-145)Southpoint 101 LOS vs 102 CIN triple-dime bet
Analysis: Bet 2nd half higher scoring than 1st half. 3 stars.
NOTE: You want to bet this into a 2 way line (Ties push).
If you bet it into a 3 way line (ties lose) than be sure to get it -125 or less (essentially it would then be 2h -1/2 vs 1h).

Cin long FG

(-120)William Hill 101 LOS vs 102 CIN double-dime bet
Analysis: The one big edge Cin has is with their Kicker. Solid Value betting him to have the longest FG

LA last snap

(-130)William Hill 101 LOS vs 102 CIN double-dime bet
Analysis: LA to take last snap/e.g. to have last possession.
I favor Rams greatly to win game, and that makes them a BIG favorite to run out the clock in the end game.

Analysis: 3* PROP OF THE YEAR SBowl
Rams more 1st downs -1-110 vs Cincy -1
If you cannot get this -1, then aok to Play Rams More 1st downs pk -150.

LA Poss Time

(-125)Bookmaker 101 LOS vs 102 CIN double-dime bet
Analysis: Rams to have more time of possession in game. Aok to lay more than -125.
I expect the Rams to have many long drives/ball control in this game. They should be running clock, getting 1st downs, getting yards, I like ALL of these props to favor Rams.

ANALYSIS: Aaron Donald vs. the Bengals’ O-line is an epic mismatch, but know what hasn’t been a mismatch this season? The Bengals against … anybody. Even when they lose they keep it close, and as of Feb. 2 they’re getting 4.5 points. Consider this: The Bengals had nine games against playoff teams (including three in the postseason) and if they had been 4.5-point ‘dogs in each, they would’ve gone 9-0 ATS. The Rams have had 10 games vs. playoff teams and if they had been 4.5-point favorites in each, they would’ve gone 3-7 ATS (they actually went 4-6 ATS). The Rams traded for an All-Star team and they’re facing a bad O-line, but ultimately I trust Joe Burrow to brush himself off and keep Cincy in it more than I trust the Rams’ stable of stars, who may already be planning the best L.A. parade route. Take the points.

L.A. RAMS -4
ANALYSIS: It's been an unpredictable and thrilling postseason, with both No. 4 seeds battling through to reach the Super Bowl. Joe Burrow and Matthew Stafford will garner the lion's share of the attention, but both defenses in this game have been critical to each team remaining alive. Ultimately, I believe the Rams defense is a bigger problem for the Bengals offense than vice versa. Jalen Ramsey and Co. can largely take away Cincy's deep passing attack, while the Rams defensive line is a major mismatch against Cincinnati's blockers. Sean McVay was overwhelmed in his first Super Bowl trip but I expect better from him here vs. his former assistant. Rams D carries the day as Los Angeles wins the Super Bowl.

L.A. RAMS -4
ANALYSIS: What Joe Burrow and the Bengals have accomplished is extraordinary. Remember, though, they've faced the easiest schedule of opposing pass defenses and the second-easiest schedule of opposing rush defenses. This will be, by far, the best defense they have faced. Burrow has been pressured on 36 percent of his postseason dropbacks, a number sure to rise Sunday. While Burrow is deadly versus man coverage -- 15 TDs, 5 INTs, 10.9 yards per attempt on 145 dropbacks -- he's merely solid versus zone schemes: 12 TDs, 9 INTs, 8.5 ypa on 417 dropbacks. The Rams play zone 78 percent of the time, second-most in the NFL. Because they often use a 5-man front, the Rams are vulnerable on short passes over the middle. But Cincy could be without tight end C.J. Uzomah (knee), replaced by the far-less dynamic Drew Sample. Either way, I'm laying the points.

OVER 48.5
ANALYSIS: There's too much skill on these offenses to think this game will stay Under: Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Joe Mixon on Cincinnati; Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. on Los Angeles. These teams both averaged 27.1 points a game in the regular season, which tied for seventh in the league. Also, unless you're expecting a game in the teens, there are very few score combinations that stay Under. We win with 23-23 or 24-24 in regulation. We also win with 26-23 or 28-21. I think this is pretty simple. Take the Over.

L.A. RAMS @ CINCINNATI | 02/13 | 6:30 PM EST
CINCINNATI +4.5
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati already has won at Tennessee and at Kansas City in the postseason. Both of those challenges were tougher than facing the Rams in a neutral-site Super Bowl, even if the game is in the L.A. area. And the Bengals defense absolutely shut down the Chiefs in the second half of the AFC Championship Game, and the Rams' offense poses less of a challenge. Officially, I'm taking Cincinnati to cover in a close game, and I wouldn't talk anyone out of also playing the Rams on the moneyline in an attempt to "middle" the game.

Play: Los Angeles Rams -195

I think the best way to bet the side in Super Bowl LVI is Rams on the ML. There's still -190's out there, I grabbed -195 and almost every place has -200. I'll be providing my game rationale as well as I why I think -195 is a substantially better bet than laying the -4.

L.A. RAMS -3.5
ANALYSIS: I was probably going to take the Bengals at +4.5 in case of a final score of something like 28-24 or 31-27 ... but with the Rams winning simply because I don't trust that Cincinnati offensive line -- no quarterback has been sacked more this season than Joe Burrow -- against Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Leonard Floyd & Co. I'm shocked this has dipped to Rams -3.5 at Caesars Sportsbook, so now I have to jump on LA. This is the only book where I've seen this number, and I don't expect it gets lower. Are you aware the straight-up Super Bowl winner is 47-6-2 against the spread? It has been 13 years since the favorite won (it didn't win all those games but in the ones it did) and not covered the spread. Cincinnati has averaged 24 points per game during the postseason while facing defenses that finished the regular season ranked 12th, 17th and 24th in defensive DVOA. The Rams finished fifth. Look for SportsLine odds early next week on which team the Super Bowl champion will host in the Kickoff Game.

L.A. RAMS -3.5
ANALYSIS: The Cincinnati Bengals want to win Super Bowl LVI. The Los Angeles Rams HAVE to win Super Bowl LVI. This is it for Les Snead, Sean McVay and co. The Rams have leveraged their NFL Draft future for this very moment, in fact they don't have a 1st round pick until 2024. The picks have been traded, deals have been done. Not to mention for Matthew Stafford it's now or never as well. Mind you, this is nothing against Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Tremendous story and they'll be back (plus Burrow is the truth), but there's blood in the water for Los Angeles. The Rams have the better offense. The Rams have the better defense. I've ridden Los Angeles throughout the postseason under the exact same mantra, they have to win and everyone knows it. I'm certainly not stopping now.

ANALYSIS: The key to slowing down Joe Burrow is getting pressure on him, and I think the Rams can bring it strong with Aaron Donald pushing himself into the pocket and Von Miller and Leonard Floyd scooping up some sacks when Burrow escapes the pocket. The Bengals' offensive line is the weak link here. I'm betting against them. The Rams' offense will score enough to win and cover the spread. I’m on the Rams.

Have to look the Rams way here since they seem to have all the edges here. The Rams are playing in their home stadium, they have the better defense and they have the more veteran QB. Los Angeles sold out this season to get here and they have been successful while Cincinnati somehow manufactured a way to get to this game. Burrow is great but this is going to be an overwhelming spot for a young QB as opposed to Stafford who has been in the league many more years. Look for the Rams to have an edge at QB and have an edge on D-Line leading to a win and a cover here. Thank you and good luck.

UNDER 48.5
ANALYSIS: While he's seen as an offensive wunderkind, the truth is Sean McVay tends to get conservative in big spots, and it's hard to find a spot larger than the Super Bowl. On the other side, the Bengals will struggle moving the ball offensively with any consistency due to their offensive line's deficiencies. I don't think this game will be ugly by any stretch, but both defenses will drop into deep zones to limit big plays, and it's going to keep the score down.

ANALYSIS: The Blue Raiders have been dominant at home. They are 9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS at home against Division I teams. This spread is too small. The Blue Raiders are a much better team than the 49ers. Kenpom ranks the Blue Raiders 91 spots ahead of the 49ers. They are better on both ends of the court and it will show in this game. The Blue Raiders should stay undefeated at home as they easily win this game.

ANALYSIS: This will be a game that'll come down to offense, possessions and who can maximize them. Bengals QB Joe Burrow and WRs Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase have played in championship games before, and I believe the moment won't be too big for them against the Rams. It's going to be important for the Rams to have their run game show up in order to take some of the pressure off Matthew Stafford. That's a tall ask in my opinion, so I look for the Bengals to shock the world.

Ben Burns

SUPER BOWL 10* LUXURY BOX! (77% FOOTBALL RUN)

Pick: Los Angeles Rams -3.5 (-110) (Play MGM)

Analysis:
I'm playing on LA. This point spread is higher than a field goal. Many of the previous playoff games have been decided on the game's final play; both these teams just won by three. That's going to make it tempting, for many, to back the underdog. That sentiment, in my opinion, is helping to keep the line lower than it easily could have been and providing us with value on the favorite. The Bengals are a fun team to watch and they deserve enormous credit for getting here. They've got a very good young coach, an excellent young kicker, a young QB who is playing well and who has a young superstar receiver to throw the ball to. Notice the word that I kept using to describe the Bengals? "Young." This is all new to them. Until now, they've played without feeling any pressure. Now, having two weeks to realize the huge stage that they'll be on will change that. While Burrow and the Bengals may feel that they'll be back here again in the future, Stafford, Donald and the Rams know that their time is now. They may not get another opportunity. I've often found that teams, players and coaches "need to lose, before they can win." I like that the Rams have "come close" in recent seasons. I like that Stafford had to toil for all those years in Detroit. Don't be surprised when he's awarded the SB MVP. As exciting as the Bengals are, in my opinion, the Rams are better on both sides of the ball. The numbers are close but the Rams score more points and they allow less. The Rams put up those superior numbers against an arguably much tougher schedule. While some may not be impressed by the fact that they had to comeback to beat the 49'ers, keep in mind that SF was a team which had their number. The NFC West, as whole, was extremely tough. Three teams had at least 11 wins. LA, SF and Arizona combined for 37 wins themselves; Seattle is always dangerous too. The Bengals AFC North, on the other hand, arguably had a down year. Cincinnati had 11 wins but no other team had more than nine. The Steelers weren't as tough as normal, the Ravens lost Lamar to injury. The Browns dealt with issues all season. The Bengals also benefited from facing teams like the Jets, Lions and Jaguars. The Rams non-div. slate included games against the likes of the Packers, Bucs and Colts. Remember, the Rams made Kyler Murray look scared in their playoff opener. Next, they bloodied Brady en route to knocking off the defending SB champs. Of course, the fact that the game is being played at SoFi Stadium also figures to help the Rams. Being in their home city, they'll be able to avoid a lot of the hype and distractions that come along with the SB. The Rams are very well-coached and I believe that it's "their time." No more comebacks for the Bengals Rams roll.
