UNDER 59
ANALYSIS: Peach Bowl -- Not sure how I feel about the spread on this game yet but I love the Under now that the best offensive player on each side, Pitt QB Kenny Pickett and Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker, are skipping the game. Pickett was third in the Heisman voting and Walker sixth.

TENNESSEE -188
ANALYSIS: MUSIC CITY BOWL -- We knew previously that Purdue stud receiver David Bell (93 catches, 1,286 yards, six TDs) and maybe the team's best defensive player, end George Karlaftis, were skipping this bowl to prepare for the NFL Draft. The Boilers continue to take hits as No. 2 receiver Milton Wright (57 catches, 732 yards, seven TDs), starting senior cornerback Dedrick Mackey and left tackle Greg Long are also apparently going to sit. I just don't like giving 5 points (probably soon to rise) so we'll hit the moneyline while it's still below -200.

E. WASHINGTON @ PORTLAND ST. | 12/30 | 10:00 PM EST
E. WASHINGTON +1
ANALYSIS: Fading the Vikings in this spot. Their offense is terrible. They are averaging just 60.9 PPG in their eight games against Division I teams. They are also allowing 71.7 PPG in those eight games. The Eagles have been playing really well this season. They are 7-3 ATS this season including 6-2 ATS away from home. Their offense has looked good this season as they are averaging 76.8 PPG. The wrong team is favored here. The Eagles are the better team and they will show it in this game.
SOUTH ALABAMA @ UT-ARLINGTON | 12/30 | 8:00 PM EST
SOUTH ALABAMA -2.5
ANALYSIS: The Jaguars are playing great this season. They are 10-3 SU and 8-3 ATS this season. They have won nine out of their last 11 games and they have cover four of their last five games. Guard Jay Jay Chandler is red hot. He has scored 45 points on 55 percent shooting over the last two games. The Mavericks have one of the worst offenses in the nation. Kenpom ranks them as the 326th best offense in the country. Chandler and the rest of the Jaguars will be able to score too many points for the Mavericks to keep up with. Lay the points with the Jaguars in this matchup.

TENNESSEE @ PURDUE | 12/30 | 3:00 PM EST
TENNESSEE -7
ANALYSIS: Elite programs can survive five standout players sitting out. Not Purdue, especially when two of them (WR David Bell, DE George Karlaftis) are its best pair. The deeper Volunteers can deal with a couple of key absentees (RB Tiyon Evans, DB Alontae Taylor). Purdue is pass-heavy, with the fourth fewest rush yards in FBS, and Tennessee’s more balanced offense is a plus. The Vols have won their last four bowls straight-up.
+780 53-41 IN LAST 94 CFB PICKS
NORTH CAROLINA @ SOUTH CAROLINA | 12/30 | 11:30 AM EST
OVER 57
ANALYSIS: North Carolina QB Sam Howell, a pending NFL draftee, is hanging around for a swan song, almost assuring a healthy score. UNC games average 68 points, and Gamecocks pass rusher J.J. Enagbare, a soon-to-be pro, has taken a pass, so Howell should have time to throw. Draw a line through South Carolina’s season-ending shutout against Clemson. The three previous games, the Gamecocks scored 40, 28 and 21.

OLD DOMINION @ FIU | 12/30 | 7:00 PM EST
FIU PK
ANALYSIS: Love me some pick'ems when it seems like the home team should be favored by at least a few points and I believe that's the case here for FIU in the Conference USA opener for both. Not that the Panthers get great support at home, but they are 5-0 there this season, winning by an average of 22.0 points and shooting 51.1 percent from the field. They enter off a bit of a COVID break being my only concern. ODU enters on a three-game skid and is among the worst offensive teams in the nation.
LOUISIANA @ APP. ST. | 12/30 | 6:30 PM EST
APP. ST. -3
ANALYSIS: App State can get payback for the football team, which lost in the Sun Belt title game to Louisiana. I do think this opening number is a few points too low. The Mountaineers enter off back-to-back losses, but those were at Duke and North Carolina. App State is limiting opponents to just 28.4 percent on three-pointers this season, which ranks second in the Sun Belt, and to 61.5 points, which is third. The team starts all upperclassmen and returns over 90 percent of its points from last season. Louisiana is 1-4 on the road and figures to be rusty, not having played since Dec. 14. The SportsLine Projection Model has the home team winning by eight.
