ANALYSIS: Dallas was dragged to overtime Wednesday in a home win (which we hit) and then obviously had to travel -- presumably will be Braden Holtby in net Thursday, and he hasn't been very good in the New Year, which is why he lost the No. 1 job to Jake Oettinger. The Preds are on normal rest after an upset win in Florida on Tuesday, and they didn't even use No. 1 goaltender Juuse Saros in that one. He's 14-8-0 with a 2.14 GAA at home. Nashville has won six of the past eight in the series. Dallas is 1-6 in its past seven as a road dog overall.

The Lumberjacks' Jalen Cone will be the best player on the floor. Cone is averaging a team-leading 18.5 points per game and is averaging 5.0 assists per game over the past seven. Redshirt freshman Carson Towt is averaging 10.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the last seven.

Thursday also will be the Chicago debut of Tristan Thompson, who adds some needed size and rebounding. Atlanta is expected to be without John Collins.

Not saying that will happen again, but I'd be pretty surprised if Detroit loses by more than 9. The Cavs 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight road games.

ANALYSIS: I was unsure about why the Davidson line was so low yesterday and we're back again with the same issue. Models are making Middle Tennessee 13 point favorites here across the board. Clearly Vegas is giving Marshall some credit for their recent few wins but this is MTSU all the way. The Blue Raiders are 9-2 ATS at home, the Thundering Herd are 3-9 ATS on the road. Marshall also lost at Charlotte by 15 last week and Middle Tennessee won their matchup hosting Charlotte by that same 15 point margin. This line implies this game would be a 4 point spread on a neutral court and thats just not right to me. Middle Tennessee has won all their home games in conference play by more than 7, I don't see that changing tonight. Lay it.

The Zags have won 33 straight conference games and this season are beating conference foes by an average of 26.9 points per game. What's even more absurd is that the oddsmakers can't keep up, as Gonzaga is 7-3-2 against the spread and beating the number by an average of 4 points per game. No WCC team has come within 12 points of Gonzaga this season and I don't think that changes tonight, even against a very good (and tournament-bound) San Francisco team.

ANALYSIS: When these two teams met last month the score was 73-73 at the end of regulation, and the fact that Oregon was able to pull off the overtime win in Pauley Pavilion is certainly going to drive a revenge angle for the Bruins — not to mention Mick Cronin’s 0-3 record against the Ducks as UCLA’s head coach. I think Oregon, in a must-win spot for its NCAA Tournament future, creates an up-and-down game that’s a little out of UCLA’s comfort zone but one they can still win with more touches for the Bruins’ many capable scorers. It’s all shaping up to a game that can hit 140 on the total, so I like the over here.
