MLB | CHI. WHITE SOX @ BALTIMORE | 08/25 | 7:05 PM EDT
BALTIMORE -105
ANALYSIS: Im definitely running this back with the Orioles at home, they are now 11-7 at home since the All-Star break while the White Sox are 6-9 on the road. The Orioles still have the 10th best bullpen in the league since the All-Star break and they didn’t use any of their top four arms in Wednesday’s game, while the White Sox are ranked second worst since the All-Star break and both their top relievers in Kendall Graveman and Liam Hendriks looked very susceptible. Jordan Lyles is 4-2 with a 3.13 ERA at home and he allowed 4 ER in 7 IP against the White Sox earlier this season. Lance Lynn is 0-3 with a 6.39 ERA on the road and he allowed 6 runs in 6.2 IP against the Orioles earlier this season.

MLB | COLORADO @ N.Y. METS | 08/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -1.5
ANALYSIS: I will have a news story on this game tomorrow, but the Mets might be the biggest favorites of the year by first pitch so I'll just hop on the runline at -160 now before it gets even higher. Jacob deGrom vs. Ryan Feltner? To quote Bob Uecker: Juuussssttt a slight mismatch! (ironically in Major League, Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn relieved a guy named Keltner). Although we should note deGrom was on the wrong end of one of the biggest upsets of the season early this month. That was on the road, though. The Mets are going to be ticked off after losing two at Yankee Stadium this week, and they were off Wednesday. Colorado is getting pole-axed at home right now by Texas and then had to fly out. The Rox are utter garbage on the road at 18-39.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS AT HOUSTON TEXANS | 8/25 | 8:15 P.M. ET

49ers -3.5

Truly a blockbuster matchup between two undefeated preseason titans. I lean toward the 49ers in the finale. While the Texans have won their first two games, the first-team offense hasn't been overly impressive, as David Mills and company haven't found much consistency. Furthermore, Kyle Shanahan said San Francisco's plan is to play its starters, and while we can't be sure how deep into the game they'll go, San Francisco's overall roster is far more advanced than Houston's at this point, meaning the Niners should win the battle of the benches as well.

GREEN BAY PACKERS VS. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS | 8/25 | 8 PM

Packers -1 (Lean Over 36)

At the time this pick is being made, it's unclear whether Andy Reid will play his starters in the preseason finale, though Matt LaFleur has already said he's sitting his veteran starters. Last year, Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdowns in the preseason finale before giving way to Shane Buchele, who also shined while playing the majority of the game. If it becomes clear Mahomes is going to play at all, the Chiefs are worth backing in the first half. But the Packers have had the yards-per-play and total yards edge over their opponents in each of their first two preseason games, while the Chiefs have done the opposite. If Jordan Love and Danny Etling can avoid throwing interceptions like they did last week, the Packers should win this game.

MLB | ST. LOUIS @ CHI. CUBS | 08/25 | 2:20 PM EDT
CHI. CUBS +1.5
ANALYSIS: Even without Willson Contreras again, I think the Cubs should be slight favorites behind Marcus Stroman. In his last eight starts, Stroman has posted a 2.23 ERA (11 ER/44.1 IP) with a .210 opponent average and a .588 opponent OPS. Stroman has finished 11 of his starts with either the lead, the game tied or within a run of the opponent. He's a ground-ball pitcher and that's big today with the wind blowing out at Wrigley. The Cards' Dakota Hudson has a 5.34 ERA on the road and a 6.08 ERA overall in three starts this month. It's the end of a seven-game trip for St. Louis, so the players might be a bit flat looking ahead to a return home and the start of a big series Friday vs. Atlanta. Nolan Arenado, Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina are all out of the lineup. Cubs RL at -160.

MLB | CLEVELAND @ SEATTLE | 08/25 | 4:10 PM EDT
CLEVELAND -115
ANALYSIS: This play for me is mainly on the starting pitching. Triston McKenzie had a 1.34 ERA in July and he now has a 2.60 ERA in August. He is coming off a career high 14 strikeouts against the White Sox. Marco Gonzales is trending in the opposite direction, he has a 6.02 ERA in his last seven games. The Guardians are hitting lefties very well right now as we saw yesterday against Blake Snell, and I think that continues. The Mariners bullpen is solid at 7th since the All-Star break but the Guardians has been even better at first in the league by a wide margin. I like the Guardians to stay hot on the road.

BALTIMORE +100
ANALYSIS: Going right back to the Orioles. O’s RHP Jordan Lyles is 3-1 with a 3.81 ERA over the last 28 days. He had a bumpy outing last time against the White Sox, going seven innings, but surrendering four runs. So a revenge game is in order, especially at home with the league's fourth-best bullpen behind him. The White Sox are a bottom-10 team against righties in OPS with a .683 mark. Chicago sends out Lance Lynn, who has a 0-3 road record, 6.39 ERA, and 1.51 WHIP. He gave up five earned runs off six hits back in July when he faced the O’s. I like the Orioles to bounce back tonight.

MLB | CLEVELAND @ SEATTLE | 08/25 | 4:10 PM EDT
CLEVELAND -115
ANALYSIS: Seattle LHP Marco Gonzales is 5-5 with a 3.63 ERA at home. He faces a Guardians team that is sixth in the league in batting (.256) and ninth in OPS (.714) on the road. RHP Triston McKenzie takes the hill for the Guardians. Over the last 30 days, McKenzie owns a 3.12 ERA and is coming off a career-best 14-strikeout performance. The Mariners own the eighth-worst batting average (.218) since the All-Star break. Take the Guardians to win.
