MIAMI (OHIO) @ OHIO | 11/02 | 7:30 PM EDT
OHIO +7.5
ANALYSIS: We've got MACtion Tuesday and it's the 97th edition of the "Battle of the Bricks." Ohio's lone win this season is over terrible Akron, but during a three-game losing streak the Bobcats have lost by only 3, 1 and 7 points. They can stay within seven points in a rivalry game at home. Ohio is 4-1 ATS in its past five as a home dog and Miami is 1-4 ATS in its past five as a favorite.
NASHVILLE @ CALGARY | 11/02 | 9:00 PM EDT
CALGARY -150
ANALYSIS: Calgary enters on a six-game winning streak and won all those but one by multiple goals. Jacob Markstrom stopped 93 of the 94 shots he faced last week and was named the NHL's No. 1 star. He has a 1.33 GAA overall this year. It's the front end of a back-to-back for the Preds so maybe they don't use No. 1 goaltender Juuse Saros here -- I still like Calgary regardless but this moneyline would jump a good 25 cents if it's not Saros. Nashville is 1-6 in its past seven as a road dog.
DALLAS @ WINNIPEG | 11/02 | 8:00 PM EDT
WINNIPEG -130
ANALYSIS: The Jets are 2-0 at home this year and averaging 5.5 goals per game in them. They likely will get star center Mark Scheifele back from COVID protocols for this one as he's out of them and did practice Monday. Just a matter of conditioning. Dallas has lost three straight and totaled four goals in them. It's a bad offensive team. The Stars are 5-12 in their past 17 as road dogs.
BUFFALO @ SAN JOSE | 11/02 | 10:30 PM EDT
UNDER 6
ANALYSIS: San Jose has fallen off quite a bit offensively of late with six goals in its past four games. Sabres goaltender Craig Anderson is off to the best start of his career with a 1.98 GAA. Offensively, Buffalo is without three of its top centers due to injury. This has 3-2 written all over it.
VEGAS @ TORONTO | 11/02 | 7:00 PM EDT
UNDER 6
ANALYSIS: Vegas is absolutely gutted by injuries at forward so I don't see how the Knights are scoring more than maybe two goals in Toronto. The Leafs, meanwhile, really haven't gotten going yet scoring wise in averaging 2.33 goals and Auston Matthews with only one. Again, we may push here but hard to see seven goals. The Under is 10-3-2 in Maple Leafs' last 15 games following a win.
ATLANTA @ HOUSTON | 11/02 | 8:09 PM EDT
HOUSTON -125
ANALYSIS: Atlanta lefty Max Fried was one of the best pitchers in the majors in the second half of the regular season and very good his first two starts in these playoffs, but he might be gassed with a career high in innings as Fried has been terrible in his past two outings. Thus, we have to take the Astros at home even with Luis Garcia on short rest -- he'll also have a short leash. Houston is 6-2 in its past eight vs. a lefty.
MILWAUKEE @ DETROIT | 11/02 | 7:00 PM EDT
DETROIT +5.5
ANALYSIS: The Pistons aren't very good, but the Bucks are down three starters, including Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday, while Detroit looks healthy -- rookie No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham will play. Milwaukee enters on a three-game skid and while the Greek Freak apparently will play, he's not 100 percent, either. Dating to last season the Bucks are 1-7 ATS in their past eight vs. teams with a losing record.

ATLANTA @ HOUSTON | 11/02 | 8:09 PM EDT
HOUSTON -121
ANALYSIS: Max Fried has been hit hard in back-to-back outings, giving up 11 earned runs and 15 hits in 9.2 innings versus the Astros and Dodgers. Even though Luis Garcia comes back on three days' rest, I like his chances of pitching well considering how dominant he's been at home: a 2.39 ERA with 90 strikeouts in 79 innings. With the Astros shifting their lineup and waking up at the plate, I'll back Houston at this reasonable price to force a Game 7.
MIAMI @ DALLAS | 11/02 | 7:30 PM EDT
MIAMI -2
ANALYSIS: Bam Adebayo (20.6 ppg, 14.0 rpg) practiced Monday and I expect him to play Tuesday in Dallas as the Heat look to improve to 6-1. Miami, whose only loss came in overtime, should dominate inside. Look for the Heat to cover for the ninth time in their last 11 visits to Dallas.

NASHVILLE @ CALGARY | 11/02 | 9:00 PM EDT
CALGARY -150
ANALYSIS: My model says the Flames win in well over 60 percent of the simulations, so you're getting strong value with them at this number. Calgary began the season with a regulation and an overtime loss but has reeled off six straight victories since. Jacob Markstrom leads the NHL with three shutouts and has allowed just one goal over his last four starts. Elias Lindholm and Andrew Mangiapane are among a group of players tied for second in the league with seven goals, while the Flames have produced at least four in each of their last five games.

MIAMI @ DALLAS | 11/02 | 7:30 PM EDT
MIAMI -2
ANALYSIS: Miami's Bam Adebayo (knee) and Dallas' Kristaps Porzingis (back) are listed as questionable, so both teams could be without a key frontcourt member. Porzingis has missed three straight games and the Mavericks play again Wednesday, so there might be a better chance that he sits out. Meanwhile, Adebayo was a full participant in Monday’s practice. Even with him sidelined for their last game, the Heat smoked Memphis by 26 points on the road. Not only are they 5-1, but all five of their victories have come by at least 13 points. I’ll take Miami to cover this small number.

DETROIT @ MONTREAL | 11/02 | 7:00 PM EDT
DETROIT +120
ANALYSIS: The Red Wings started 4-3-2 while the Canadiens have started 2-8-0. Most importantly, the Canadiens have only scored 19 goals this season and they are just 1-3-0 at home. The Red Wings have looked like an above average team to start the season and I just don’t see how the Canadiens can be this heavily favored against anyone right now. The Canadiens are also playing their first home game after a long West Coast road trip, so I like the value in the Red Wings.

Rotation #961
Braves +115 over Astros
Fried/Garcia
After that grand slam in game 5 you thought the Astros probably would pack it in, but they responded well and won that game. Atlanta area fans are thinking here we go yet again with blown leads, but I think Max Fried gets the job done tonight. Fried was awesome down the stretch and then had a little bit of a hiccup in the the playoffs, but still is an excellent pitcher that can shut down any roster. Luis Garcia is a young pitcher with not much playoff experience and is coming off of short rest. I think the Braves are in a better situation tonight. Things tighten up in big games late in the series so I expect this to be a low scoring game with batters not facing the same pitcher many times in the lineup. Look for Fried to have a strong start and then for the bullpen to win the world series. Take Atlanta.
